THE GLORIFIED BODY OF THE SAINTSTHE GLORIFIED BODY OF THE SAINTS

In this letter we will discuss the glorified body of the saints, what it will be like, and the many wonderful things concerning it! – But first we will discuss the physical body and the spirit. – In Matt. 22:32 Jesus said, “God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” Many saints rest with Him eternally. – Man cannot actually destroy the body or the spirit. Only God can do this if He chooses to! (Matt. 10:28) “In other words, no matter what man can do to the body, the Lord can raise it back in perfect form! – And as far as the spirit is concerned, man has no way to destroy it. It is in the hands of God!”

“Man has gradually established a fact. – In our generation when man began splitting the atom he discovered the indestructibility of matter and the conservation of energy. The form of the original had changed but nothing was lost. It existed in gasses or ashes but in a different form!” – With the splitting of the atom, matter could be dissolved after all, but was it annihilated?

– More experiments were conducted. – It was found that when matter dissolved, it reappeared in the form of energy! – Einstein gave it a formula which as become familiar – E = MC2 – Further experiments showed that energy could be changed back into matter! – Nothing was ever lost! – “Man had power to change matter into energy and vice versa, but he could not create it nor annihilate it! – It is clear, matter and energy cannot be annihilated!” – “What then if life and human consciousness which exist on an infinitely higher plane than dead matter – can it be annihilated? No! The plane of existence changes, but physically death cannot and does not annihilate the human spirit! – It still exists!” – If you are a believer, of course it will rest with the Lord Jesus! Of course those who are not believers will exist in the abode of darkness. – In other words, no matter what happens to the body; burned into ashes, or etc., the Lord Jesus can bring it back glorified and put your personality spirit back into it again! – (Rev. 20:12-15) Also even those that were beheaded, God brought them back together and they stood before Him! (Verse 4) – “And we which are alive are changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye with them, and caught up to be with the Lord forever!” – (I Cor. 15:51-58 – I Thess. 4:13-18)

– “The reason that scientists were able to discover this was that the Bible foretold of it long ago! – Plus, according to God’s word, man can try to destroy the earth, but he can’t. And even the Lord Himself will purge it completely and bring forth a new heavens and new earth out of the old!” (Be sure and read II Peter 3:10-13 – Rev. 21:1,5) – “Also out of our old body we will be changed into a new body!”

“Now let’s proceed to discuss the resurrected or glorified body. – I Cor. 15:35-58 describes the changes and glorified body perfectly.

– Paul said, “It is sown a natural body: it is raised a spiritual body.” He further describes, “we are quickening spirits, and as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly!” – “In the first resurrection all the saints shall be glorified together.” (Rom.8:17) – The saints will shine as the brightness of the stars! (Dan. 12:2-3) The saints will be robed in glory, shekinah light! The glory of Jesus is beautiful white light that shines like the sun. (Matt. 17:2) There may be a beautiful blue and other colors within this one white light! It is so beautiful and bright that the natural eyes cannot look upon it! Ps. 104: 1-2 says, “O

Lord my God, you cover yourself with light as with a garment.” We will have a garment of glory! “His covering garment is as white as snow!” (Dan. 7:9) – Even the Tribulation saints are covered with robes of white light. (Rev. 7:9-14) – It also says, “He that overcometh shall be clothed in white raiment.” (Rev. 3:4-5) It evidently is a beautiful soft glowing magnetic and awe-inspiring covering. – In fact, we will be like the holy angels, even like unto the body of Jesus! – In I John 3:2, “For we know that when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is!” – We may also understand something of the nature of the glorified body by studying the physical activities of Jesus after His resurrection. Jesus’ body could at will be made subject or not subject to the power of gravity, as we see in His ascension to heaven. (Acts. 1:9) The saints will have this same power for they are caught up to meet the Lord in the air. The glorified body will have instantaneous transportation in traveling! – “Philip proved this even before he was glorified.” (Acts. 8:39-40) – The glorified saint will be recognized as the same person as when he or she lived on earth! – The disciples recognized Jesus when He appeared to them. (John 20:19-20) – Paul said, “We will be known as we are known!”

“One will be able to feel the body as tangible, yet the glorified body will be able to pass through wood or stone or any other restraint. – Although the doors were shut, Jesus appeared through the walls! (John 20:19) For remember it says that when He appears in the translation we shall be like Him! (I John 3:2) – The saints will never feel pain or sickness again! And will not have any need of food, rest or sleep or even to breathe air. – Oh yes, we might add, if a saint wanted to eat they could. (Matt. 26:29) – “For we are complete in Him!” – Also we will be able to disappear and reappear somewhere else concerning the Lord’s business if needful! – The saints will always feel a bubbling joy and great ecstasy. – A fulfillment that will go beyond what any mortal words can describe! –

“Above all, the glorified body is not subject to death; for we will be as the angels and cannot die. Our blood will be glorified light. – Our bones and flesh will be glowing with life!” – “Also no matter how old a person was in this life, whether it was 80, 100 or even as the Old Testament saints, like Adam was 900 years old (Gen. 5:5), a person will be brought back to their prime or about the age

Jesus was (30 or 33) or even younger. The saint’s bodies will never age again!” – “Remember when the women entered the sepulcher where Jesus was resurrected, they met an angel described as ‘a young man’ sitting on the right side!” (Mark 16:5) – “Undoubtedly the angel was millions or even trillions of years of age, but he is spoken of as ‘a young man’ dressed in white light! – The angel was created evidently long before Lucifer was and lived in the eons of time with God! – For it was an important part for him to be there, and evidently knew many of the secrets of God before the foundation of the world!” I think we have said enough to give this a good viewpoint. Won’t it be thrilling to be in that state of light, dwelling with Jesus in eternity! Think about it and praise Him! Rev. 21:3-7
