SUDDENLY THIS MORTAL MUST PUT ON IMMORTALITY
We are at the end of the age. A lot of things happen at the end of time and God gives a lot of information to alert us. The road map, the traffic lights, the green light, the yellow light and the red light are all before us now.
The Green light means “GO,” free passage. The road is clear for you to travel based on the light control that is green. Without a doubt the green color shows life, grace, right and authority. Remember Jesus Christ said, “If they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry tree?” (Luke 23:31). To be green, you must abide in the true Vine, Jesus said, and my Father is the husbandman (John 15:1-2). He purges you so that you may bear more fruit.
The yellow light is a warning or caution to travelers whether on foot or motorized. Yellow warns of dangers that are around, like the signs of the times. The times here concern the last days and the signs surrounding the soon coming of Jesus Christ as prophesied in the bible by the prophets and by the Lord. Look at the situation worldwide, you can see the yellow light blinking. The various nations have their armies training hard, accumulating weapons of destruction, experimenting on destruction by creating small wars and testing these monster weapons of death. Look at the Middle East and the number of people dead and dying from war, disease and hunger. That is the yellow light going off. Do not forget death in Ukraine, Africa, Europe and much more. Also there is hypocrisy in religions, enslaving the masses, political deceits, economic nightmares and other realities of the yellow light such as earthquakes, winds, volcanoes, floods, fire, hunger immoralities, drug and alcohol addictions. The yellow light presents caution or warning that something is about to happen. The signs of the end-times can be seen every day in the technologies that are now controlling men; the cell phone is now an idol. At the yellow light you examine yourself, the direction you are travelling and the surrounding. Time is not in anyone’s favor at the road junction. This is where the world is right now.
Now the red light indicates stop. To narrow it down, when the light turns red you can go no further. The red light will soon be on the whole world. A period of reckoning and judgment comes with the red light. God’s judgment comes on those who fail to take advantage of the green light. Who can stand the coming judgment of the seals of the book of Revelation? Imagine the sheer terror of the Trumpet (Rev, 8, 9 and 11) and vial judgments (Rev. 16) if you do not go with the green light, the translation.
Suddenly, in a twinkling of an eye, in a moment, as a thief in the night, something unusual will happen. This will affect many people in different ways. Now walk with me into a room where something strange was noticed. In this room a table was noticed with seven chairs and the bibles opened to the same chapter. Nobody is found sitting on the chairs, but their clothes are lying on the chairs. No one is in the house. Right there and then a neighbor walks in to check on his wife who is supposed to be in that house for bible study. She is not there. Her husband recognizes her clothes and her bible and notebook. But she is gone! All the bibles are opened to 1st Corinthians 15. Is this the green light? Consider it as a dream, but it could be real.
Strange but true, some have gone with the green light and now comes the yellow and red lights. To go when the light turns green, you must be attentive or prepared or ready, focused, not distracted. Do not procrastinate moving on green you and must obey and submit to the word of God. When you see the movement on the mulberry tree (1st Chronicles14:14-15), then you can go. This is patience (James 5:7-8). Wisdom is the principal thing, prepare now, stay focused, do not be distracted, no procrastination and submit to every word of God. Time is real short and running out very fast.
How would you feel coming home and your folks are gone and their clothes found in the kitchen, living room, bathroom and in the middle of the drive way? You call other friends in church and there is no response. You go to your grandparents’ house and they are not there. Then you begin to realize that something strange has suddenly happened and that you are still here; panic sets in. You run to the church house and the pastor is getting ready for board meeting and is expecting other members. This pastor has been in his office and did not know what has happened. He calls home and there is no answer. He hurries home and the door is wide open. The song “Amazing Grace” is playing on the family recorded cassette player. He calls frantically around the house, searching everywhere. No family member is there, but his wife’s wedding band and clothes are on the ground along the passage to the bedroom. He has been left behind, suddenly. Those on the green light are gone! Mortal has put on immortality and they are with Jesus Christ in the air. John 14:1-3 had occurred. This can happen now, suddenly, in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye and as a thief in the night. Go with the green light, do not get trapped in the yellow or slammed by the red light of divine judgment.
You must be born again. That is the place to start on the green. You must acknowledge you are a sinner. The soul that sinneth it shall die. As a sinner you are spiritually dead to the things of God, but the Lord can give life. When you tell the Lord you are a sinner and mean it from your heart, when you confess to Him that you are a sinner and believe that He died on the cross of Calvary for your sins, He will forgive you. Ask Him to come into your life and be your Savior, Master and Lord. Ask Him to come and be the Lord of your life and your God. Seek to obey the word of God in submitting to water baptism by emersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ; not Father, Son and the Holy Ghost as three different people in the trinity doctrine. Ask God to give you the Holy Spirit. The bible said the Lord gave men gifts. These gifts are also for you to receive from God.
Then the crucial thing at this stage is to search out the promises of God, believe and claim them. One of those promises is found in John 14:1-7. This is one of those promises that will change you forever. This promise is repeated over and over in the bible in different revelations. They all are talking about the same promise in different shades of the rainbow. Some of these prophetic revelations include:
- 1st Corinthians 15:51-58 which includes, “Behold I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
- 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18 which states, “——For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with (1) a shout, (2) with the voice of the arch-angel, and (3) with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to me the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
Suddenly, those who have been preparing and are ready for the coming of the Lord will be gone. I believe it and if you come to my house after that last trump, surely you will find my clothes on the chair with my bible open to 1st Corinthians 15. Comfort one another with these words, Amen.
