YOUR DELIVERANCE IS IN YOUR HAND
In these last days, scriptures seem to repeat themselves. We often quote scriptures that meet our own criteria, which is often different from that of God. We often forget the scripture that reads, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord,” Isaiah 55:8.
Also Proverbs 14:12 reads, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
Man’s way must be very tormenting, because it is often contrary to God’s way. Satan is always in man’s way to lead him away from God. The children of Israel in the wilderness had the presence of God with them. The Lord appeared as the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. With time they got too familiar with His presence and grew careless. Today, remember, the Lord promised I will never leave you nor forsake you. Where ever you may be right now, in the toilet, market, driving etc, God is present watching you, like He watched over Israel in the wilderness.
Imagine been found in sin and God is watching. That was what happened in the wilderness to the Israelites and is happening to everyman on earth today; even among Christians.
This brings to mind Ezekiel 14:1-23, this chapter of the scripture mentions over and over three beloved men of God. These men were Noah, Daniel and Job. God testified about them through the prophet Ezekiel saying no matter the type of judgment that God brought into the world at their times, they were only able to deliver themselves alone. Verse 13-14 reads, “Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast: though these three men, Noah, Daniel and Job, were in it they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord God.”
Verse 20 also reads, “Though Noah, Daniel and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord God, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.” There is something in the believer that anchors him or she to the Lord and righteousness is involved. Today our righteousness is in Christ Jesus alone. God said that these men in such circumstances can only deliver their own soul through righteousness. They could not deliver anyone, not even their own children. This was a terrible situation and this present world in which we reside is in the same state. You can only deliver yourself by your own righteousness in Christ Jesus. The bible says,” Examine yourself.”
Think things over today and see for yourself if God will surely have for you the kind of testimony of assurance He had for Noah, Daniel and Job. When you are on the mountain top you feel comfortable but as soon as it is the valley in your life, where trials and temptations confront you, you think all hope is lost. Remember God on the mountain top is the same God in the valley. God in the night is still God in the day. He changeth not. Your deliverance is in your hand, if you continually dwell, in the righteousness that is only found in Jesus Christ our Lord, Savior, and deliverer.
Righteousness starts with confession of sins. Have you tried to play God lately, have you really prayed for those in authority, how you have dealt with racism, tribalism, nepotism, party spirit, and what kinds of prayer have you been making before God lately. God sets up and brings down rulers; are you His counselor? The situation in the world today requires everyone to be ready to see if they can have the testimony that God had for Noah, Daniel and Job. Time is short and people are taken with politics, religion and businesses, so called. Many are deceived with the false hopes of this dying world. Keep your mind on the promises of Jesus Christ especially John 14:1-4. Also remember Matt. 25:10.
Many went to sleep with the politics and religious and economic intrigues of this year, but remember WAKE UP, STAY AWAKE, THIS IS NO TIME TO SLEEP. PREPARE, STAY FOCUED, DO NOT BE DISTRACTED, DO NOT PROCASTINATE THE COMING OF THE LORD, SUBMIT TO EVERY WORD OF GOD AND STAY ON THE PATH (SW #86). THIS IS NO TIME TO READY BUT TIME TO STUDY THE WORD OF GOD AND THE SCROLLS MESSAGES.
