God is so consecutive; He never fails where faith is. I’ll touch on that in a little bit. Lift up your hands and just worship Him. That’s why you come to church….Come on, lift them up and worship Him. Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus. Bless thy people, all of them together and encourage their hearts. Give them the desires of their hearts. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. He said delight yourself in the Lord. That means get carried away in His love, and just delight, so that you are enthused about it. You believe the promises of eternity and you believe all the things that are in the bible, and you delight yourself in the Lord then; when you have faith, you delight yourself in the Lord, and you receive the desires of your heart….
I am going to speak a little bit this morning about the Power Within, but you must Act. You know faith cometh by hearing the word of God. We know that…you can hear the word of God, but you must put it into action. You cannot just let it sit there. It is like a bible that is never opened or something like that. You must start opening it. You must start acting out the promises of God. Power within; that is in every believer. They’ve got it. They just don’t know how to appropriate it many times….
So, there is victory or death in your tongue. You can build up enough amount of negative power in you with your thoughts, your mind and your heart or you can build up enormous amount of the power of faith by speaking positive, and allowing it [your heart] to exercise on God’s promises. Many Christians today talk themselves out of the blessings of God. Have you ever talked yourself out of the blessings of God? You will, if you listen to others. Don’t [you] ever listen to anybody, but what God says, and the person; if they are using the word of God, then listen to them.
They [people] talk more about failures than success. Have you ever noticed [it] in your own life? If you are not careful—the way that God created the human nature—without the Holy Spirit, it is dangerous. Paul said I die daily. He said I am a new creation. I have become a new creature in God. But if you listen to the human nature every day, it would begin to talk you into the feelings of negative power. That is why you have to rely on the Holy Spirit, and the praising of the Lord and the anointing of the Lord. If you are not careful, the physical body would begin to talk failure; it would begin to talk defeat. It is very easy. It is nothing to think that you know…that to do these things, you are not superior [Don’t think that you are superior to do these things]. I imagine that some of the greatest men in the bible, for a moment…even Moses, for a moment at times, had been caught in those snares. Even David at a moment’s time was caught in those types of snares. But they held to one thing, an anchor in their hearts, that they did not give over to these feelings. They might have listened for a while, but they put them right off there.
You notice in the psalms and everywhere… in the bible, they talked victory and they brought victory to the people. So, you are what you say. You are what you talk. You have heard many times, you are what you eat. But I also guarantee you, you are what you say. If you train yourself, you would find yourself saying, “I believe [in] exploits” and you’d begin to talk the things that you continue to believe you would receive from God.
But if you begin to say, “I wonder why God failed me over here” or “I wonder about this.” The next thing you know you are getting into a defeat attitude. Keep the victory attitude…. It is easy to let the nature of the flesh get the best out of you. Watch out! It is very dangerous. Then satan gets a hold of it too; you are in trouble. You are in torment then, sure enough. The bible doesn’t teach that Christians would be failures concerning the promises of God. Did you know that? It did not teach that. But it is taught in the bible that you will be successful with the promises of God. It does not teach defeat in the promises of God.
“Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1: 9). See; be not dismayed, neither be afraid, for the Lord is with you no matter where you go, night or day, or distance, this way or that way. The Lord is with you and He will stand right there beside you. Remember that always. Don’t let the defeat attitude get you down. Train yourself—you can train yourself—however a man thinketh in his heart, so is he, the bible says. Begin to train yourself in a positive attitude.
I personally believe that at the end of the age, from what the Lord has revealed to me how He is going to do it all—He doesn’t reveal to anybody all of His secrets, just part of His secrets. But I really believe this that not only by somebody teaching the people with a strong anointing of power—just like seven anointings of power—but it is going to be a force of the Holy Spirit, and it is going to move on His people in such a way that they are going to think positive power. They are going to think in the miraculous. They are going to think in [about] exploits. Now, He is going to do that by the Holy Spirit. There is an outpouring coming to those with an open heart. If you don’t have an open heart, you can’t ask God for anything.
I have often said this: You say, “Well, if God heals me, Ok and if He doesn’t heal me, Ok.” You might as well forget about it…. So, take on the spiritual food of God…. Plant the word of God in your hear and then act upon what you have planted. Sometimes, people hear the word of God, but they don’t water it to grow in them. If you plant a garden, you must take care of it. Same, by receiving the word of God, you have a measure of faith with that word of God. Unless you take care of the garden of faith inside you, weeds will grow around it and strangle it out. Unbelief will set in and then you will be defeated. So, you are what you say, and you can begin to talk positive, success, and God will bless you.
“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17: 21). That is the Holy Spirit of power that’s within you. You can’t say, “Lo, it is over here, I will seek for it. I will seek for it over there. There is a certain name over in this building. There is a certain system over there… or a certain place over there.” It doesn’t say that. It says you have the kingdom of God within you. But you are so weak-minded… that you will not act upon that kingdom that is inside of you. My! Each one of you has a kingdom that’s bigger than any organizational system, that’s bigger than any deliverance center or anything else—the kingdom of God that’s within you. That’s what built this building, the kingdom of God that was within. So, Luke 17: 21: The kingdom of God is within you. Each man or woman has a measure of faith and it will work fantastic miracles.
When I was doing this, I let the Holy Spirit write through me…. Now, the power of faith is within you, but some people don’t know how to release it because people have lived in this negative world so long they think like the world and they operate like the negative world. But if you begin to operate like the kingdom of God—His promises are Yea and Amen to everyone that believes them. All those that believe receive, the bible said. It is to whosoever will believe. You can’t say, “I am this color, you are that color…. I am that rich and you are that poor.” Whosoever will let him take…. The kingdom of God puts that right out for anybody.
The kingdom of God—it is the ones that have wisdom who know this power within them. When you know that this power is within you, you begin to let it grow…. You can just keep eating on the word of God, and keep talking and believing God in such a way that your faith would be robust. You would be filled with power. Amen. That’s spiritual food that you get from the Lord. Your dedication, your thankfulness to the Lord, and your praises to the Lord will bring you whatever you desire. When the kingdom of God sets up like a whirlwind like on Elijah, the prophet [even lesser degree than that], you can have whatsoever you say. God will bring it forth. We have seen it over and over. Remember this message in your hearts.
Each of you—even a sinner—potentially, the power of God is in there. He [the sinner] is breathing God’s breath of life. When that breath of life departs from him, he is gone. That’s God. That is the immortal God that is there. He can convert that inside of him [the sinner] into what God wants. He’ll have power and he can release that power like energy. You know volcanoes build up underneath through changes and different things that happen underneath…. Finally, it builds up and explodes. It is like a volcanic—tremendous energy and force underneath. You have this power and that power is under there. If you tap it in the proper measure—some people even seek God through fasting and prayer many hours, and in praising—it would begin to operate…. It is to what degree you seek Him and what measure that you get [this], and how you act on what you get. You can even seek God and praise the Lord very much, but if you don’t act properly through the mind and heart in a positive manner, it would do you no good. You must still have that steadfastness. You should still have that determination and you’ve got to lay hold like a bulldog. You’ve got to hold to God. It will come to pass. Amen.
Sometimes, before you know what is happening, miracles are all around you. Other times, there is a definite struggle. That means He wants you to build your faith stronger. When there is a test or trial, it means God is refining, that God is burning, and God is bringing you in order. In every test, every stumble and every trial that you go through, and every temptation that you overcome, the bible says patience is built [up] and power. But if you fall by the wayside and allow your tongue to talk the negative feelings of that experience that you are going through, then pretty soon, you will begin to drive yourself to the ground like a stake. But if you begin to talk positive as you are going down; you are going up! Amen. Pretty soon, you will meet about even [with Jesus] and you are gone! The volcanic eruption from the power of the Lord—the sons of God at the end of the age and the earnest expectation there, all of nature…groaning …because there is something coming like a volcano on the earth. It is the sons of God; those that really believe in Him. They are a sign upon the earth. It will come.
So, you see that people in a negative world would think like the negative world. When they go to church on Sunday morning, they don’t have much time to make it up. But during the week is the time that you train. Watch what you say and how you say it or you will be talking yourself out of the blessings of God, instead of talking yourself into the blessings of God. If all week you are talking yourself out of the blessings of God, then when you come before God, it is empty. But if all week long you are talking yourself into the blessings of God, when you get near me, there is a spark, there is a fire and God will do whatsoever you say…. Let this power, let this force of faith control you, and by praises and action, you can rid yourself of these negative feelings…and faith would do exploits if you allow the proper faith to build up in your body. It would most certainly do that.
Listen to this: Be not weak in faith, the bible said. Abraham staggered not at the promise of God. A hundred years old, yet, God promised him a child. He staggered not at the promise of God, although unbelief was thrown at him, and although there were other decisions made in front of him, he still, according to the bible, held on to the promise of God. When he staggered not at the promise of God, at 100 years old, they had a child. Praise God. He knows what He is doing. It is faith in the Lord. Can you say, Amen? Moses was 120 years old and he was stronger than any 20 year old man we’ve got today because he believed in what God said in the bible. He was 120; somebody said he died of old age. No, the bible said, God just had to take him. Before he died, the bible made the statement, that he was 120 years old, and that his natural force was unabated. His eyes were not dim; they were like eagles’ there. There he was, strong. Caleb was 85 years old, and he could go in and out as he always did. Let me tell you: They said, “What was the secret?” They said, “We listened to what God said and did everything that He told us to do. We hearkened unto the Voice of the Lord. We have this power that was within and without, and the power of the Lord was with us.”
So, the same thing today; by faith in God, Abraham had a child. At the end of the age…. Many people say it looks like the sons of God–a genuine article for the translation—where are they? Don’t you worry about it. Abraham was a hundred years old, but that child of promise came. The manchild in Revelation 12 which is called the Manchild of God will be here, and they will be taken up by the power of faith. You can have whatsoever you say, and it is faith that we are preaching. So you see; he staggered not at the promise of God. You can have whatever you want from God. It’s for whosoever will; all of you that can believe it in your hearts. Like I said, it’s not just for any individual, it is for the believer. You believe; it is yours. Have whatsoever you say and God will bless you too.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God” (Romans 12: 2). Renewing your mind is listening to this message and feeding [on it], and taking it in. When you renew your mind, you get rid of all the negative forces that…pull you down—the strongholds. Paul said, Overcome them, put on the full armor of God, and word of God which is in you would begin to operate and give you many blessings from the Lord.
Some people today, they only remember their failures. They can remember they prayed about something, and it just looks like God has failed them on it. Don’t even look at failures, if you have any. All I have ever seen is exploits around me and miracles. That’s all I want to see. Can you say, Amen? I know you will have it sometimes; you will be tested and tried, and have some failures. But I guarantee you one thing, if you begin to look at your successes and look at the times that God answered your prayers, and what He is doing for you, it will overcome all of that. Dwell upon the good that God is doing for you, and what the Lord has done. Build that character strong, that Christ-like character of power. When you begin to build it inside of you, then when you come before me, you can ask and you shall receive. Everyone that asketh receiveth, the bible said. Ha! But it takes a good one to believe that, doesn’t it? Somebody said, “I didn’t receive.” You didn’t know how to use that. You did receive. Stay with that. It’s right there with you, and it will just blossom right there in front of you. You’ll have a miracle on your hands. Miracles are real. God’s power is real. Whosoever will, let him take. Glory to God!
People have excuses, you know. “If I was….” Don’t think that way. You are, God said. Each of you has power within you. Each of you has faith within you. In your tongue is victory or defeat. In this negative world, you better learn to talk victory and learn to talk success because it is that close …. Here is another notation: Luke 11: 28. “Yea, rather blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.” Not just blessed are they that hear the word of God… but blessed are they that keep what they have heard as a treasure in their hearts, and the anointing. Blessed are those that keep it [the word of God]. That’s what the bible said. Then there is a blessing on those that keep the word of God, isn’t there? Blessed are they that keep it, not just hear it, but keep it.
The tongue can destroy…or build your faith. You are what you confess. It [the tongue] can confess negative feelings and get negative results. Amen. You can confess positive promises and God would give you a blessing if you stay right with it. It [the tongue] is a little member with a great force. It is a great force of defeat or a great force of victory. You can have victory or defeat in it. Kingdoms have risen and kingdoms have fallen by the tongue. We have seen it worldwide…. The kingdom of God which is above all of these things [kingdoms], and which would finally destroy all kingdoms one day…would be a peaceful kingdom, and the Prince of Peace will come. He is the Prince of Faith and Power. It says here, have the faith of God.
The bible boldly declared these things, and people swivel up and have a couple of defeats, and say, “Well, it must be for somebody else.” It is for you. Say, “I will win. I will believe. It is mine. I have got it and no one is going to take it from me.” That is faith in God. You may not hear it, you may not see it and you may not smell it, but you know you’ve got it. That is faith. It doesn’t go by…your senses…. There may be a time when you feel it coming to you. You will feel the Presence of God, yes, but the miracle you want, you may not see that miracle right there. You may not even hear it coming, but I can guarantee you, [if] you believe it, you’ve got that miracle…. Glory to God! Isn’t that wonderful about faith? It’s the evidence of things not seen. You have it. You say it. You don’t see it, but “I’ve got it.” That’s faith, see? You can’t see your salvation, but you’ve got it. Don’t you, in your heart? You feel the presence of God. We do; we feel the power and the presence of God….
So, in the tongue is victory or defeat. How a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. The bible said it. It is just plain. So, be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind by keeping the word of God. Talk positive of the Lord Jesus and don’t allow those negative feelings to pull you down. The world is full of failures and negativism, but you talk success with God. The bible said here in Joshua 1: 9: “Have I have not commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage….” In another place, it says, “…Then thou shalt have good success” (v. 8). Isn’t it beautiful that the bible gives such good promises as that? Listen to this right here in Romans 9: 28: “For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.” Then in Romans 10: 8, “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.” It is close. It is nigh. You are breathing it. It is within you.
Each man or woman is given a measure of faith. You have a measure of success within you to start with. Did you know that? You have a measure of failure, being that the flesh will fail God, but the Spirit won’t. It is said in the bible that the Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. So, with the Spirit, it is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart. It says here “that is the word of faith which we preach.” Each person here tonight, I don’t care how many times you have failed and how many times you have been a failure in this world, and you can name hundreds of things…the bible says you can be a success by the word and power of God. It is inside of you. It is in your mouth. The kingdom of God is within you. You would get results if you release its enormous power that’s within you by praising the Lord, and reading His word and keeping His word. You have power from God.
But the tongue, it can bring you victory or defeat…. If you are determined in your heart, no matter what, you will talk yourself into some great days ahead, some great wonders. This sermon and this message is for the sons of God–I believe in my heart–those that love God and are going forward, and they are marching to victory, not failure. We will all have victory because there is a going away and protection for the people of God. There are so many promises in the bible. Right below that [Romans 10:8], it says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus…” (Romans 10: 9). You see, confess with thy mouth thy salvation. Confess with thy mouth thy healing or the promises that you want from God. Believe in your heart and you have it.
So, each one of you here today was born into this world with success. The flesh and the devil try to take that away from you, and try to tell you that you are a failure because you have failed many times. Oh no, you are just as much a success or more so than the failures that you have had. So, within the kingdom, you have a measure of success. If you begin to operate this properly and begin to confess the things that belong to God and believe that the word of God inside of you is power and contend for the faith…and even be dogmatic about what you believe in your heart in faith, it shall come to pass. Whatsoever you say, it shall come to pass. Delight yourself in the Lord and you shall have the desires of your heart…. Isn’t that wonderful from the Lord? I am telling you, a quick short work will the Lord do upon the earth.
So, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. You can listen to this sermon and all the word of God that you want to, but until you act with the power that is given within you, you will not be a success. Let your tongue be positive of God’s promises. Don’t talk failure. Talk the promises of God. Isn’t that wonderful? It’s close to your mouth, the word of God [with] faith in your heart. Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, in your heart believe it, you have salvation. Confess with your mouth the Lord has healed you with your heart. Believe all the promises of God and you shall have success, and go on your way.
I want you to bow your heads. This message was short. It was powerful. It’s a wonderful message to get the people of God into the order that God wants them to be.
