What happened to the truth What happened to the truth

What is missing in the secular and much of the religious world today is the word of truth. Majority of the secular and religious leaders of today are all lying to the masses, be they ministers, doctors, scientists, the military, law enforcement, financial experts, bankers, insurance groups, educators, politicians and much more. Lies seem to be attractive because it is often loaded with deceit and can be glamorous. Lies comes in different ways, such as lies of denial, lies of fabrication, lies of omission, lies of exaggeration, lies of minimization and much more. People tell lies for several reasons, but mainly to manipulate, influence and control; especially habitual liars. For politicians lying is part of their diet, unacceptable, but understandable, because politics has no morality. But the most unfortunate is the place, level and acceptance of lying in religious circles and even more deplorable among those who profess Christianity. The reason for all these is because, something has happened to truth in their personal and collective lives. The opposite of truth is a lie. For the unsaved, they know no better; so were we in time past until Jesus Christ came into our lives. But for he or she who has heard the truth and sold it, it is a pity. Whenever you sell the truth, you betray Jesus Christ again in a way.

What is truth? Truth is always held to be the opposite of falsehood. Truth is in fact a verified or indisputable fact. Truth is important both to individuals and to society. As individuals, being truthful means that we can grow and mature, learning from our errors. And for society, truthfulness makes social bonds, and lying breaks them. Truth for the Christian is a manifestation of Christ in you. When you as a Christian lies, then the Oldman is up again; and if you continue to please your old nature, you soon will fall from the faith; because there will be no room for truth in you.

Jesus said, in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” Verily, verily, I say unto you, whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin, (you are in bondage to Satan, unless you repent and call on the Lord),” (verse 34). And in verse 36, Jesus said, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” The Christian leaders, including apostles, prophets, prophetesses, evangelists, bishops, pastors, general overseers, superintendents, elders and deacons, elder women and choir members , then the congregation; are all navigating through all these. All who desire to be free indeed and remain free must abide in the truth. But unfortunately many in position of church authority are struggling to abide in the truth. Lying has become a part of many. They are no longer sensitive and receptive to the truth (Jesus Christ the Lord, the Word). Many of these leaders have anointed their members with such falsehood; that they now believe a lie. What happened to the truth in your life, what fault do you find with Jesus Christ or his word? In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” Jesus Christ is the truth.

Many Christian leaders, who carry the Bible; or rather whose bibles are carried by bearers, have sold the truth by, remaining silent in the face of lies or tolerate it or perpetuate it. And know not that they have sold the truth. Study 1st Tim. 3:1-13, if you are honest to yourself and to God, He will open your eyes to the truth of the gospel that can set you free. You ask, where are the deacons in these churches? Unfortunately, many of these churches appoint deacons based upon pastor’s choice, level of donation, status symbol, economic standard, family members, in-laws and so on; and not according to the scriptures. The deacons in many cases, never see or speak out about any lies or manipulation or errors in the church. These are so because of personal gains and intimidations. Some are silent because of the evil they know or participated in, in the church. Deacons are not to be double tongued, but it is everywhere among many deacons. They are supposed to hold the mystery of the faith (including the truth) in a pure conscience. But it is hard to find (but judgment shall start in the house of God) these days. Before a deacon is chosen he must first be proved, but who does that today, (they forget that judgment shall begin in the house of God). 1st Tim. 3:13, states, “For they that have used the office of a deacon well, purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ.”

May God help the church to return to the pattern of the Bible before judgment will intensify? The hope of the congregation may rest on the deacons or elders who are faithful to the truth, (Jesus the Christ). Where is the boldness in the faith of these men? Why are many double tongued? They are supposed to hold the mystery of the faith, does it include lying and covering lying leaders? (Satan is the father of lies). John 8:44, states, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, (even through people) he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. Verse 47 sayeth, “He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.” What has happened to the truth? Men of God that are supposed to lead the people have sold the truth and swallowed lies from the devil. They have feed many with these lies in word and in deed. Remember, 1st Peter 4:17, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin with us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”

Proverbs 23:23 states, “Buy the truth, and sell it not: also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.” When you deny, manipulate or intentionally misrepresent any part of the word of God, you lie, and sell the truth: they sell Christ or betraying him indirectly. Repentance now is the only solution. Many have sold the truth and are compromised: but Jesus Christ in his mercy, made one more appeal to the church of today, Laodicea. In Rev. 3:18, he said, “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, ( virtue or character of tried Jesus Christ), that thou mayest be rich, (not through lies, manipulations and deceit); and white raiment, (true salvation, righteousness in Christ) that thou mayest be clothed, and the shame, (which is everywhere in many churches) of thy nakedness do not appear; and eye salve, ( right and truthful vision and foresight of the Holy Ghost) that you may see.”

Can anyone who is not reprobate, deny John 16: 13, “Howbeit, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth (What has happened to truth in you) he will guide you into all truth.” Judgment is soon to begin in the house of God. What has happened to truth? Darkness is grossly covering the church because they have sold the truth and loved lies. Repent O! Leaders of the church and ye deacons before it is too late. If you cannot find the truth in your church leaders, then it is time to seek God to deliver and guide you to a truthful place of worship, and don’t carry the old church baggage along. What has happened to the truth; even in you? Lord have mercy. It is late, repent O! Church.
