IF YOU HAVE AN ANCHOR ON WHAT IS IT HOLDINGIF YOU HAVE AN ANCHOR ON WHAT IS IT HOLDING

When you watch the television, surf the internet or read the newspapers; one thing is certain, the prophecies of the bible are all around us. The nations and people of the world are definitely in the valley of decision. Will men follow the admonitions of the bible or match to the drum beats of Armageddon? According to 2nd Timothy 3:1-5, “This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come; for men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” If you do not turn away from these people, you may end up on the trail to Armageddon because it is by the corner, soon after the sudden translation.

In times like this you need an anchor. The world is like the sea, and each person is in his boat sailing through life waters. As you sail along life stormy waters, you make certain stops intentional and unintentional. For each of these stops, you need to anchor somewhere. Very often, God shows mercy and helps us. In Christianity, our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ is firmly based on the word and the promises of God; on which our beliefs are based. For instance Jesus said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. This helps our confidence in him in times of trouble or difficulties. While others run for help from man and all the wrong places, a true believer holds on to the word and promises of God as his anchor and the rock is Jesus on which the anchor holds. According to Hebrews 4:14-15, “For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities—–.” Our rock on which our anchor holds is Jesus Christ our high priest from heaven; not any gods, gurus, pope, general overseers (some of whom make themselves gods), secret societies, denomination, etc. Let your anchor be the word and promises of God woven and attached to the Rock, which is Christ the Lord.

When you are anchored on Jesus Christ the Rock, your anchor is made up of the promises of God. The anchor has a two- or three-sided hook shape that penetrates into the rock. This is possible because the anchor is part of/product of the rock. Christ Jesus is our rock. The word and promises of God in us, on which our belief, by faith, is based is our anchor.

In these times we can see Luke 21:25-26 coming into view, “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and in the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the seas and the waves roaring: men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” When men prefer to run to witchcraft, idols, demons, gurus and false religious leaders and fake miracle workers for help and manipulative politicians for their anchor and rock instead of the God of all creation, Jesus Christ; negative outcomes happen. These include famine, pestilence, wickedness, quakes, storms, floods, fires, hunger, diseases and much more. There is a great travailing going on in the world today. The anti-Christ is rising and the chariots of translation are set for making the journey back to heaven with true believers who have their anchor made of the promises and word of God and anchored on the Ancient rock, the Mighty God Jesus the Christ.

Let us ponder over 2nd Peter 3:2-14, “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water, and in the water. Whereby the world that then was being overflowed with water, perished: but the heaven and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.———–.” Doesn’t this sound like Revelations 20:11-15? Your anchor will be tested by the devil, make sure what your anchor is made of and on what is your anchor holding to.

Jesus Christ in Matt. 24:34-35 said, “Very I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” If you can believe these words of Jesus Christ, your anchor will be on the rock. Your belief on the word and promises of God serves as your anchor and Jesus Christ is the solid rock on which your anchor holds.

“Pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day, for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be(Matt. 24:20). During winter a lot happens, temperatures drop, snow may fall, sleet and ice form. This weather is treacherous. It calls for protection and warmth. The Sabbath day is a day of rest when nobody expects any attacks or surprises, a day of worship and sober reflection. This is not a day you want to be on the run. If the tribulation occurs on a Sabbath day, then you wonder, on what day and time did the translation occur?  Definitely it is somewhere before the great tribulation. Understand your anchor.

If the great tribulation starts and you are here, for sure you missed the translation and your anchor must have been holding to something that is not the rock. What is your anchor made of, better still do you actually have an anchor or is it a make belief type? There are many Christians today who are not sure of their belief. Some are so unstable that their anchor snaps under the weight of persecution or temptation. Some are double tongued, that they tell different people, different things such people want to hear. Such a Christian may have a strange kind of an anchor. The anchor snaps on backsliders, because their anchor is not properly anchored on the rock which is Christ Jesus. Compromise on the word and promises of God can snap your anchor, because the material is not 100% from the word.

The thing that many people forget is that when you are saved, you have access to the promises of God, as you grow. You begin to weave your anchor based on the word and promises of God. Jesus Christ becomes your Lord, God and Friend. According to James 4:4, “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God?” When you make yourself an enemy of God, your anchor cannot hold on the rock, and always remember that the Rock is Jesus Christ. You cannot put your anchor here because the only anchors that attach to the rock are those made of the word and promises of God. What about your anchor, what is it made of and on what is it anchored? Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, 1st John 2:15.

A lot of things snap or like little foxes eat at your anchor; these according to 1st John 2:16-17 include all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh as in Galatians 5:16-21, (any sinful involvement that brings pleasure to the body contrary to the scriptural teachings, such include gossip, sexual sins including, masturbation, pornography, bestiality, homosexuality, lesbianism; violence, drugs use and abuse and much more ), and the lust of the eye ( covetousness of all types including thy neighbors wife—David and Uriah 2nd Samuel 11:2–and pornography, desiring another preacher’s ministry and not content with yours.  The works of the flesh also include the pride of life (the desire to be looked upon by other as being better than them, to achieve a status or to be of high esteem, sometimes taking God’s glory for something. God hates pride. Remember pride caused the devil to be kicked out of heaven.  All these works of the flesh are not of the Father, they are of the world.”These are the three areas of temptation that people are confronted with. Yielding to them leads to sin. Remember your anchor and on what it holds.

Your anchor is like weaved iron and the Rock is like a bar magnet. Your iron (which is like iron filings) can be attracted and attached to the bar magnet (the Rock). If your anchor is made of the promises and word of God, it will easily be attached (anchored) to the Rock from which you were hewn, Isaiah 51:1.

Endeavor to surround your anchor with holiness and purity. A three-angled weaved anchor is not easily snapped and is manifested in hope, faith and love. The greatest ingredient of a lasting and eternal anchor is love. Love for the word of God, the rock that is Jesus Christ. The love of God if you truly have it will anchor to the author of love; for God is love, the rock of our salvation.

Isaiah 51:1 states, “Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.” Your work and walk with the Lord will be eternally anchored as you realize that Jesus Christ was the rock from which they drank in the wilderness, 1stCorinthians 10:4. Psalms 61:2 states, “—–lead me to the rock that is higher than I,” when my heart is overwhelmed. This requires faith in God and trust in all his promises. For faith to be valid it must be anchored on God’s promises.

Your understanding of the Godhead is the strength to your anchor. This is the separating point for those who say they believe the scriptures. If in heaven you hope to see three thrones, as some teach and believe; one for the Father, one for the Son and one for the Holy Ghost; then supposedly there are three persons in the God head. We all have an image in our head of the Father figure, we have the same for the Son who came to earth to die and save us, but the image of the Holy Ghost is not imaginable in bodily form; except as a dove or tongue of fire. So the image of the third person in the case of trinity is strange but he is a person. God is not a monster. If you are expecting to see three different persons, you are in for fiery purging, by the great tribulation; if you are around after the rapture. Have you ever imagined under what circumstances, you would call on the Father, and when can you call on the Son, and also when it is important out of the three persons to call on the third one, the Holy Ghost? It is amazing how people separate these three persons based on their needs and circumstances. If you believe this way you may be in danger. If one of them does not meet your request then you go to the other. This is gambling and does not make for trust and confidence. What is you anchor made of? If your anchor material does not include an understanding of who is the God head; you are in a bad spiritual shape. You need to think things over and properly, because you only pass through this earthly life once; so be sure and do everything right. Who is the God you know? Jesus Christ is God and the rock on which we anchor. The word of God and his promises form the material with which believers build their anchor and all are spiritual. Remember that God is a Spirit (John 4:24). Remember the rock that traveled with them, from which they drank in the wilderness, and that rock was Christ, 1st Corinthians 10:4, on which the believers anchor holds. Be sure what your anchor material is made of and what it anchors to. A poor or wrong anchor is a disaster.

Hear O! Israel the Lord thy God is one and there is no other God beside me. You cannot win a Jew to Jesus Christ by introducing him to three GODS or three different persons in the Godhead. God has three major manifestations in his dealing with humanity. God manifested himself in different ways, God is present everywhere and that does not make him multiple persons; God is a Spirit. Believest thou the prophets? Sincerely if you do not know about the Godhead and settle it in your heart, and believe  and know for sure the correct biblical answer; your anchor may have a major problem when the real, tests and storms of faith and life come your way.

If you are not born again, this is your chance; in the quietness of your soul, go down on your knees and say, “God have mercy upon me for I am a sinner. I come to you to ask for mercy and forgiveness as I acknowledge all my sins and accept that Jesus Christ, born of virgin birth, died on the Cross of Calvary for me. I come in repentance asking that you wash my sins with the blood of Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus I accept you as my Lord and Savior. From right now, be the Lord of my life and my God.” Tell people about your new acceptance of Jesus Christ and the change that has come into your life, (you are now a new creation if you sincerely mean the step you have taken) this is called witnessing. Learn to sing praises of worship to God, learn about fasting, casting out devils and using the blood of Jesus Christ. As you take these steps faithfully, you are weaving your anchor and attaching it to your foundation, the Rock which is Jesus Christ the Lord. Read Acts 2:38. 10:44-48 and 19:1-6, it will help you about baptism by the apostles. Support the work of God. Prepare for the translation any time from now. Believe it.

If you do this you become born again. Then start a daily or morning and evening reading of your King James Bible only. Look for a small bible church that will baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ, by emersion (not in the name of the Father, in the name of the Son and in the name of the Holy Ghost or called trinity; not names but name and that name is the LORD JESUS CHRIST, read John 5:43). Ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Believe in hell and heaven and the translation; Also the great tribulation, the mark of the beast, Armageddon, Millennium, the white throne, the lake of fire, the new heaven and new earth.

As a Christian your anchor has to hold unto something for resistance from the tide and storms of life and the Christian race (spiritual). Generally the anchor of a ship is let down to stick into the floor bed of the waters. But in the Christian race the floor bed on which our anchor holds is Jesus Christ the rock that follows everywhere. I am with you always even to the end of the world, Matt. 28:20.
