THE MOCKERS AND SCOFFERSTHE MOCKERS AND SCOFFERS

Why do people scoff and mock you may ask; the truth is that they are not doing this to you but to God. The main reason of mocking and scoffing is because God made statements; of what will happen and things that will transpire at the End of Time or also referred to as the Last Days. Many scoff and mock because of the timing; they want it to be according to their human timing and thinking. They get frustrated with God for not fulfilling those things in their days. Man trying to instruct God, what a tragedy. Isaiah 40:21-22 states, “Have ye not known? Have ye not heard? Hath it not been told you from the beginning? Have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.” These mockers do not know that they are as grasshoppers: Mocking their creator and soon they will see Him at his own time in judgment.

The scoffer is one who mocks, scorns and ridicules the belief of another. God when he says anything it must come to pass. These mockers do not really believe in the sayings of God. In Matt. 24:35, Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” The Lord said, in the Last Days several things will happen, including a quick short work, the translation, the great tribulation, the mark of the beast, Armageddon, the millennium and much more. Let no scoffer or mocker deceive you; they must all come to pass at God’s time not yours, O! Scoffer. Remember in Psalm 14:1, it states, “The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God.” These are mockers and scoffers, who not only disagree with an idea, but make themselves ambassadors for trying to prove the word of God to be false, and even convert others to their destructive ways. They engage in ridiculing those who believe and follow God.

According to 2nd Tim. 3:1-5, “This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” These are things prophesied about the last days and they are here in the world today, and many still scoff and mock.

According to Jude verses 16-19, “These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; how that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.” These mockers have not the Spirit. Apostle Paul wrote in Rom. 8:9, “Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”

Apostle Peter, by the Holy Ghost wrote in 2nd Peter3:3-7, “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers walking after their own lusts, and saying, where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men, (including mockers and scoffers).”

Do not allow yourself to be carried away or deceived by people who mock the word of God; especially mocking the promise of the coming of the Lord. That can lead you to damnation except you repent quickly. God’s words must come to pass. Remember Habakkuk 2:3, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” For what if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar,” (Rom.3:3-4).  Do not be a scoffer.

It is not late to mend your ways if you are a mocker of the word of God. You need to acknowledge that you are a sinner and need forgiveness. You cannot mock the word of God if you are in your right mind. If you have done so, come to the cross of Calvary, on your knee, to ask God for forgiveness. Ask God to wash you clean with the blood of Jesus Christ, and invite Jesus Christ into your life as your Savior and Lord. Get to reading, your King James Bible, from the book of John. Witness to people about your asking Jesus Christ to forgive you, your sins, by washing you with his blood. Look for a small Bible believing church where they preach about sins, the mark of the beast, holiness, translation, lake of fire and heaven and not prosperity preaching alone. Time is very short to work and walk with the Lord. Act fast because the translation can happen any time. Jesus Christ said, “I will come as a thief in the night,” and only those who are ready will go with Him but not un-repented mockers and scoffers in these last days. Surely He scorneth the scorners: but He giveth grace unto the lowly, Prov. 3:34. Be careful about preachers who postpone the coming of the Lord by preaching that it is a long way off, or that it has being preached that way forever. This is indirect scoffing or mocking. Remember, God set the time not man for the fulfilling of His words and promises. A mocker or scoffer of the word of God is in great danger.
