AT THE TIME APPOINTEDAT THE TIME APPOINTED

An appointment is defined as, an arrangement to meet someone at a particular time and place, an act of assigning a job or position to; also defined as a meeting, set at a specific time. Who can make a divine appointment? Only God can do it. An appointment can be human or divine.

  1. Human: As in a dental or school or social appointment between humans.
  2. Divine: Some of the examples include:

The creation of man, The translation of Enoch, The flood of Noah, The calling and separation of Abram, The birth of Isaac and the promise of the SEED, The end of slavery in Egypt for the Israelites, The anointing of king David, The translation of Elijah, The revelation of the 70 weeks of Daniel, The birth of the Messiah, Christ the Lord, The calling of the apostles, The woman at the well, The man Zacchaeus, The thief on the cross, The death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary and his resurrection, The day of Pentecost, The calling of Paul, John on Patmos.

  1. Your appointed time with God, your salvation and translation. (No appointment is as important as the personal one between you and Jesus Christ at the cross of Calvary, without which the translation appointment cannot hold. Your other appointments with God depend on your accepting or rejecting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and remaining faithful to his word and believing his promises. Your new birth: is recorded unquestionably in John 3:3 where Jesus Christ our Lord said, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” This shows you that there is a time to have the new birth. Except the Father calls you, you cannot come to the Son. John 6:44.
  2. Your birth: Ecclesiastes 3:2 reads, “A time to be born,” is as clears as can be but it is an appointment. God chose you and decided when your conception will occur and the exact moment when you will arrive on earth. You are born in a particular month of a particular year. The heavens have their clock ticking and what exact second you will be born. It reminds one of the story of Judah and Tamar in Genesis 38, when Tamar was pregnant and due delivery. Read verses 27-30, and you will appreciate that God is the one who decides when you are born. In verse 28 we read, “And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand with a scarlet thread, saying this came out first; (how ironic for man to make calls for God about the time of birth) Verse 29 reads, “And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, how hast thou broken forth? This breach be upon thee.” This shows you that only God decides when a person is born.
  3. Your death: is only known by God, if He has made your appointment that way, then you will have a time to die as stated in Ecclesiastes 3:2. Death is not the end of the road for a person that is ‘born again’. It is only a transition to meet with God. Paradise is a place all righteous people, with the blood of atonement in Jesus Christ, wait when they die for another appointment. In John 11:25-26 Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believeth thou this?”
  4. Your Translation: Is one of the great appointments in God’s calendar. There is a time to be born, a time to die and a time to be translated. The time of translation is a promise that God gave to every believer (John14:1-3). Every believer dead or alive (those who have repented of their sins and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior); are all expecting an appointment with God (JESUS CHRIST) made to all true believers. No matter how old you are or how young you are, whether dead in the grave or alive walking around in this world: this appointment holds if you are a true believer. This appointment will be sudden, in a twinkling of an eye, in a moment,     and as a thief in the night; as in 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18. This is the great appointment. Jesus Christ is never early as many have been waiting for Him; and is never late as many think He has delayed (Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation—2nd Peter 3:4). Jesus Christ is always right on time. God sets the appointments. We have no control of these appointments. These appointments are very precise, up to nanoseconds and only God can do that correctly. The sun, moon and stars and other planets have their orbits, and the number or week or month or years they circle around the sun. God’s appointment book is very precise and must come to pass. The translation is for those who are ready, who are expecting this appointment and who have made themselves ready. This is a onetime appointment of God’s majestic power in company of those called to this gracious occasion. Do your part for this prophetic appointment in the air.
  5. Armageddon: Rev.16:13-17, “And he gathered them together in a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. This will be an appointment for those who reject the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ before the rapture of the bride that has made herself ready.
  6. The millennium: Rev.20; 4-5, “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which have not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. —–This is the first resurrection.” There is much more in the millennium. It is an appointment for God to reconcile, restore and rule on the throne of King David in Jerusalem.
  7. The white throne: This is where and when God passes His final judgment. This is a unique appointment as written in Rev. 20:11-15. It states, “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face {the King of kings and the Lord of lords, Jesus Christ, the Mighty God, the everlasting Father, (Isaiah 9:6)} the earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.—– and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.—-; And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” This is a final and serious appointment for those who came into the world; to face the Lord and the books and the book of life. It is important to think about it and examine your position with Jesus Christ, now as God of love or face him at the white throne, when it will be before the God of judgment.
  8. The New heaven and New earth: Rev.21:1-7, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.——– And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold I make all things new. And he said unto me write: For these words are true and faithful. He said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. The final appointment is not far hence, be ye ready. From the foundation of the world God had set up your appointments, and the best way to be on the same page with the Lord is through salvation and working and walking by his divine word. If you are not sure of your expected appointments, I admonish you to come to the cross of Calvary and ask God for forgiveness. Ask him to wash you with the blood of Jesus Christ. Ask Jesus Christ to come into your life and be you Savoir and Lord. Get a good King James Bible and look for a small church where they preach about the appointments I have just told you. One more appointment is there also, called hell and the lake of fire, for all who mock and reject the call of Jesus Christ. There is one way into the lake of fire, rejecting Jesus Christ. When in the lake of fire there is no way out.

But in New Jerusalem there are twelve gates and always open, for there is no night there. Jesus Christ is the tabernacle and light of the city, where there is no night or death or sorrow or sin or sickness. There we worship the Lord our God. What an appointment. Will you be there? Are you sure? We shall meet him who had set up all the appointments according to his good pleasure.
