The Crown of Righteousness: 2nd Tim. 4:8, “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” To get this crown Paul said, in verse 7, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” This requires honesty, Are you sure you have fought a good fight for the gospel of Christ? What is your course and with God and have you really finished it and ready for departure if God calls you right now? Have you really kept the faith; what faith if I may ask? For the crown of righteousness you must have the answers to these questions. Do you love his appearing and what does that mean to a true believer?
The Crown of Rejoicing: 1st Thess.2:19, “For what is our hope, or joy,or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?” This is a crowning many are given the opportunity to work for now.It is the crown to be given by the Lord for evangelism, soulwinning, Do you love the people you are witnessing to, the lost, the highway and hedges people, all sinners. Remember the scripture, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life,’ (John 3:16). Study 2nd Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” If you join the Lord in soul winning there will be a crown of rejoicing awaiting you in glory.
The Crown of Life: James 1:12, “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” The word of God says if you love me keep my commandments. Show your love for the Lord by staying away from sin and be about the thing uppermost in the Lord’s heart interceding and reaching out to the lost. Also in Rev.2 :10, ” Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried: and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” This crown involves enduring trials , tests and temptations that will also prove your love for the Lord, it may even cause you your earthly life.But hold on to the end with Jesus Christ, faithfully.
The Crown of Glory: 1st Peter 5:4, “And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.” This crown requires faithfulness in the vineyard of the Lord. This involves the elders, ministers, workers in the affairs of God to be willing people and of a ready mind, looking for the lost , feeding the flock and watching for their welfare. Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being examples to the flock. Heb. 2:9 The crown of glory involves and requires Wisdom Proverbs 4:9; Psalm 8:5.
The Overcomers Crown: 1st Corinth.9: 25-27, “And every man that striveth for mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we are incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” This is given to the overcomer. We overcome the world by our faith. You put the Lord Jesus Christ first before all. Before your spouse, children, parents and even before your own life.
The nearness and conditions surrounding the coming of Christ; This should be the song in every heart of the believer, the Lord Jesus cometh soon. (Special writing 34).
But His chosen will be drawn to it like a magnet and the spiritual seed of God and those who are preordained are coming together by his hand We will become a new creation in the spirit..The Lord Jesus will bring His people into the center of His will from this day forward. (Special Writing 22).
Now Jesus left a Crown of Glory for a crown of thorns. The people of this earth, they want the gospel just right. They want a crown, but they don’t want to wear the crown of thorns. He said you have to bear your cross. Don’t let the devil at the end of the age, get you off in any kind of mischief or any kind of argument, doctrine and all that. That’s what the devil said he would be doing. Be alert; be expecting the Lord Jesus. Don’t fall into these traps and snares, and things like that. Keep your mind on the Word of God.
