THIS IS TIME TO PRAY AND BE SOBER BEFORE THE COMING STORMTHIS IS TIME TO PRAY AND BE SOBER BEFORE THE COMING STORM

Jesus said in Luke 21:36, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” This has to do with the last days, and for sure we are living in the last days. When you here of the last days, you must know that God is in charge and He sets the times and the days and the moments for all things. Jesus Christ pointed us all to an important time clock called the Fig tree (this is the nation of Israel) in a parable. In Luke 21:29-31, Jesus said, “Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; when they shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that kingdom of God is nigh at hand.”

Matt. 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 all tell the same story about Jesus Christ answering three important questions asked of him by the disciples; “ Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the signs of thy coming? and of the end of the world? Those questions covered from the events all through the period after the ascension of Jesus Christ till the end of the world that brings us to the new heaven and new earth.

A lot of dreadful things will happen on earth (great tribulation and the mark of the beast and much more); the heaven will put forth scary signs, like the sun being darkened and the moon and star not shining. There will be wars, earthquakes, fears, diseases, famine, hunger, draught, plagues, pestilence, pollution and much more. These are part of the answers to the disciples’ questions. As you can see these are troublesome situations, and the bible talked about men’s heart failing for fear (Luke 21:26) of what is coming during these last days.

For the believers our hearts are not supposed to fail for fear, because how confidence and hope is in Jesus Christ. Our life is hid with Christ in God. The Lord told us a few things to do about the end of days. These are found in verses 34-36 of Luke 21, “And take heed to yourselves, lest at anytime your heart be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth: Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”

Jesus Christ told us to take heed, do not be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness, the cares of this life, watch and pray. These are warnings and also words of admonition to the wise and faithful believer. These are things we are supposed to do always because “No man knoweth what hour the Lord cometh,” to take his own out before anarchy. Jesus said, “That you may be accounted worthy to escape all the things coming upon the world.”

Let us forget the Corona virus for a moment. Let us get our priorities right, Daniel first examined himself and all of the Jews and started confessing, saying “We have sinned”. And he remembered that the Lord was the great and dreadful God, (Dan. 9:4). Have you seen or imagined God in that light; as the dreadful God? Also Hebrews 12:29 reads, “For our God is a consuming fire.”  Let us turn to God in the manner Daniel did. You may be righteous but your neighbor or friend or family member is not; Daniel prayed saying, “We have sinned.” He engaged in fasting with his prayer. What we are faced with today calls for fasting and prayer and confession. That we may be accounted worthy to escape the evils coming.

Armed with these we turn to prophet Isaiah 26:20, the Lord is calling his people who are aware of the dangers, like Daniel, saying, “Come, my people, enter  thou into thy chambers (not run or come into the church house), and shut thy doors about thee (it is personal, a moment to think things over with God, following the Daniel process): hide thyself as it were for a little moment ( give time to God, talk to Him and allow Him to reply, that is why you shut your doors, Remember Matt.6:6); until the indignation be over past (indignation is a kind of anger caused by mistreatment).” Man has mistreated God in every imaginable way; but for sure God has the Master Plan of the world and not man. God does as it pleases Him. Man was created for God and not God for man. Even though some men think they are God.  This is the time to go into your chambers and shut your doors as it were for a moment: And call upon God in the name of Jesus Christ. Avoid friendship with the world while you still can; for soon it will be too late.

If you are not saved hurry and make peace with God. Repent confess your sin and ask God to wash your sins away with the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Get a King James Bible and start studying from the books of John and Proverbs? Attend a small bible believing church, get baptized by immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ and ask God to baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Tell your family and friends and anyone who will listen that you are born again (this is witnessing, you are not ashamed of Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord). Then begin to take heed to the warnings and admonitions of Jesus Christ (GOD); when He said take heed, avoid surfeiting, drunkenness, the cares of the world, watch and pray. The last days are here, the moment is around us, it is getting late and soon the door will be shut. The translation is upon us, the believers who are expecting it. Wake up it is late in the day; focus and be not distracted.
