THE LOVE OF GOD-SALVATION THE LOVE OF GOD-SALVATION

According to John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Man through sin separated himself from God since Adam and Eve: but God from then put plans in place to reconcile man back to himself. The plan needed love to succeed. As written by brother Neal Frisby in the sermon ‘Eternal Friendship-2’ he said, “To show man how much he loved them, God decided to come down to earth like one of us, and give them his own life. Of course he is eternal. So, He came and gave his life (in the person of Jesus Christ, God taking the form of man) for what he thought was valuable (every true believer) or He would never have done it. He showed his divine love.”

The word of God in 2nd Peter 3:9 states, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promises, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” This is still God’s love as to have more people come to salvation. Salvation has a call to it. The only source of salvation is Jesus Christ. “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent ( John 17:3).” This is made clear by Mark 16:16, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” And this points to what Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3, “Verily, verily I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” You have to be reconciled to God, through acknowledging you are a sinner; accept the gift and love of God who came and died in your place on the Cross of Calvary, and invite him to your life as your Savior and Lord. That is salvation. Are you born again?

Salvation is the manifestation of what God put inside of you by predestination, it reflects your hope in the word of God when you were preached to by someone; directly or indirectly. This hope in the word of God produces patience no matter how long you live on this earth, even unto death like the brethren in Hebrews 11. Salvation is made manifest by the love of God as in Rom. 8:28. This wonderful salvation is made manifest in that you are called; and also in the purpose of God.

You cannot be saved and manifest it, except you are called of God the Father. And for the Lord to call you to manifest salvation He must have foreknown you (from the foundation of the world). For God to foreknow you for salvation, he must have predestinated you from the beginning. Predestination in the issue of salvation is to make you to conform to the image of his Son by the new birth; and you become a new creation, old things are passed away and all things become new. And according to Rom. 13:11, at salvation you put on the Lord Jesus Christ and you do not make any occasion for the flesh to fulfill its lust. That is committing sin, the old nature from which you were saved. The infirmities of the natural mind often prevents you from seeing the real image of the Son of God in you. Paul said in Rom.7:14-25, when I want to do good evil in my body gets in the way.

If you are called and you answered, it is because all things work together for those who love God. Your response to the call is a manifestation that the love of God is somewhere in you where God hid it. All these are to make us conform to the image of his Son, Jesus Christ. This calling leads you to justification, by what Jesus did on the Cross of Calvary and beyond. You manifest your hope in it by accepting the call unto justification. You are glorified when you are justified: justified because you have been acquitted of all sins by the washing of the blood of Jesus Christ. Col, 1:13-15 states, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the first born of every creature.” We are now in the image of his Son, waiting for full manifestation, and all creature is groaning to see this fullness (Rom. 8:19 for the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God). Are you part of these sons of God or are you still bound in darkness. Time is short and soon it will be too late to be changed from darkness into light; and only Jesus Christ can do it for a repentant heart. Where do you stand on this verdict?  Jesus in Mark 9:40 said, “For he that is not against us is on our part.” Are you with Jesus as the light or are you with satan as darkness. Heaven and the lake of fire are real and you must make up your mind which destination you are heading for; time is running out the door will soon be shut and you cannot halt between two opinions. If Jesus Christ is who you need follow him but if satan is your joy then dance to his music.

When you conform to the image of his Son, then you are like your shadow; and you cannot be separated from your real image. Jesus is the real image and we are like the shadow of his image; we become inseparable. That is why Rom. 8:35 asked the big question, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?” Study Rom. 8 prayerfully: And in response to the last question, Paul said, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The decision is yours NOW, to be born again and be with Jesus Christ or dwell in sin and loyal to satan and perish in the lake of fire. This is your chance, today is the day of salvation and this is the hour of your visitation, after you receive and have read this little tract; whatever decision you make, you will have to leave with it. God is a God of love and mercy; so also is he the God of righteousness and judgment. God will judge and punish sin. Why will you die in your sin, REPENT AND BE CONVERTED? If you are not born again then you are lost.
