DECEPTION, DECEPTION, DECEPTION
This is one of the most fearful scriptures in the Bible, because God himself will do this thing which is described in the words of these scriptures, “God Himself shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie,” (2nd Thess. 2:11). “I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them: because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not,” (Isaiah 66:4).
This is scary to say the least. This is in God’s thought and he has a plan for this. The question is why, when and who are the people that will be affected by all of this? Some of those affected will be unbelievers who do not want to know anything about God, Jesus Christ. Others are those who have heard about God but really did not give it a thought or think He is not important, or who have no time now or who think it is all empty talk. Also, those who believe in philosophy, science, technology above God or who think that they themselves are god also, will fall into the delusion. Finally there are those who know God but are in conference with the devil, they think they can calculate God’s next move, that they can jump in before God closes the ark door, they have grown lukewarm and are dining with the enemy in the name of let us come together. Some are carried away by the cares of this life and have their own social gospel, the god of a second chance excuses. These kinds of people have set themselves for strong delusion to get hold of them.
But it is good to remember this scriptures, “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not her plagues,” (Rev.18:4). The main reason for God to send strong delusion is found in 2nd Thess. 2:10, “Because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” These are the reasons why God himself will send them strong delusion. They received not the love of the truth. Think about it. Jesus said I am the way, the Truth and the Life. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. For love and by love, He laid down his life for his friends, you and me. And this is love; that He also left us with unimaginable and precious promises, if we believe. The truth, if you receive it, gives you salvation. When you refuse the truth; toy with the truth; gamble with the truth; compromise the truth; specialize in gospel of half truth, sell the truth of God: then you are only ignoring, rejecting, demeaning, compromising, that true love that is found in the truth; which gives salvation. This was finished on Calvary Cross of Jesus Christ the Lord, and the invitation was given to you, (John 3:16).
Backsliding always is indicative of a problem spot in the relationship between a Christian and Jesus Christ. “The Backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways,” ( Proverbs 14:14). Is there a Christian who is not aware when he commits a sin or compromises his faith? I don’t think so, except if you are none of his. The Lord according to prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 66:4, called you, spoke to you but you did not answer, you did not hear. You did evil and did that which delighted you and not the Lord. When is this going to happen? This will happen before the translation. Satan will wax strong in the last week of Daniel 70th week. Nobody knows when it starts. But when he, Satan (and the antichrist) appear in the Jewish temple three and a half years is left. So you see, since you do not really know when and how to calculate God’s move; your best bet is to love the truth starting now, change and improve on your relationship with the Lord. Start working and walking with the Lord, improve on your prayer, giving, worshipping, fasting and witnessing life, now that it is called today or else this strong delusion sent by God himself will get you. Escape into Jesus Christ for your safety and life. Amen. Delusion is coming fast.
How then, shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in whom they have not heard of? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? It is written, “how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation,” (Isa. 52:7). To disguise is to change the usual appearance, sound of someone or something; so that people will not recognize that person or thing. Disguise is tantamount to deception. Those that refuse the love of the truth because of lifestyle and false social status are living a life of deception and God’s strong delusion will catch up with them suddenly. Live a straight and spiritual life in the love of the truth of God.
We shall all do well to remember the King of Israel Jeroboam and his involvement with disguise. Remember in 1st Kings 14:1-13, the son of Jeroboam was sick and there was the desire to have the child healed. The father, the king of Israel, sent the child’s mother to Ahijah the prophet. This prophet gave Jeroboam the message that God had chosen him to be king over Israel. At this time, the king had forgotten about the God that chose him, the prophet that proclaimed him king, and had turned to evil. Strong delusion had caught up with him. Today you can also see men and women that God called and showed mercy; doing the same thing as Jeroboam. Who could not go directly to the prophet because of his ways, “But hast done evil above all that were before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back.” Today many men of God and Christians have other gods they consult. Some are living lives of disguise, and do not love the truth. A strong delusion from God is coming their way shortly, as the translation nears.
Jeroboam asked his wife to go in a disguise to prophet Ahijah and inquire about the sick child. He knew that: God was the only answer to his sick child. He had departed from God and was unwilling to repent. Instead, he chose to use a disguise. He wanted to take advantage of the prophet’s failing sight. He planned the disguise and sent his wife to the prophet. In a similar way, today, some people send others to consult mediums on their behalf. He sent her with a good will offering perhaps or a bribe (verse 3); bribes affect judgment. The God of Ahijah the prophet saw the evil of Jeroboam well in advance, and prepared the prophet. God knows all things and cannot be taken by surprise. Although the prophet’s eyes have dimmed because of age, God was still giving him answers to all situations, which even surprised those with clear visions. God spoke to the prophet informing him of the disguise. The Lord told him who was coming, what the problem was, the answer to the problem and a prophecy for the perpetrator of the disguise, King Jeroboam. Disguise will bring you into falsehood and strong delusion.
Finally, remember God knows and sees all things and peoples and motives. When you decide to disguise and consult with a witch, wizard, medicine man or woman, seer, other strange gods and their servants, you become an enemy of the word of God, Jesus Christ, and definitely that makes you a candidate for God’s strong delusion. Be careful to follow the Lord with your whole heart and never use or be involved in a disguise or seek help from strange gods. Whenever you consult any other god or join yourself against the word of God, you are casting God behind your back like Jeroboam. Believing a lie makes you a very viable candidate for God’s strong delusion. Why fall into the trap of the devil which includes disguise, deceit, and craftiness in your dealings with God and men? Remember the consequences of such, and the end of those that practiced disguise. Jesus Christ is the only answer, the only way, the only truth and the only source and author of eternal life. Invite him into your life now, before it is too late. Self Deception is one of the avenues through which people refuse the love of the truth, only to believe a lie and God has promised to send strong delusion to such people. Check yourself.
