I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS IS HAPPENINGI CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS IS HAPPENING

The Bible contains some prophecies that are for these last days. We are definitely in the last days. Some of these prophecies are dual in fulfillment, because they cast their shadows before time. Men will soon get to the edge of the cliff, like a man standing on the devil’s elbow. Look at Luke 21:25-26, that states, “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring: Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth.” For the purpose of this message, we shall be concerned with, “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth.” Persecution is coming with new laws, under the cloak of Corona virus pandemic situation.

Thank God for Jesus Christ. Men’s hearts will fail them for fear. Many people’s fears are centered, around events happening in the world that threaten human lives, daily bread and safety. Let us balance the realities facing men in these last days. There is the present earthly life and there is the life after this. There are many prophecies that are in between them: such as men’s hearts failing for fear. Many sources and cause of fear are coming. Jesus said in John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God believe also in me.” Just few weeks ago we had Christmas celebration. And as the calendar  flipped over to 2020, the atmosphere from nowhere became saturated, with a dusty wind that blew over the earth and when it settled in was a pandemic called Corona virus. This virus has created fear in men’s hearts. The uncertainty of the mode of transmission and wrong understanding of the different outcomes created more fears. A family’s son took a three days holiday trip, to attend a gathering of university students from all over the country; against the advice of his parents. On his return, the parents already rented for him an apartment. They handed him the keys at the door without letting him into the house. There were no handshakes or hugs. They told their son, we love you, but cannot compromise out health for you. There were many of such stories around the world. These parents feared for their lives because they were getting elderly but the young think they are invincible. The virus was not sparing anyone on its path. Persecution will not differentiate between the young and the old.

Today in North East Africa, Pakistan and India, they are also fighting locusts that eat up the vegetation and agricultural crops. These locusts are in the range of 80-100 million adult locusts per one square kilometer. This is famine coming in a different way other than draught. This is hunger coming and there is fear. But Jesus always said, “Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid,” (Matt. 14:27). This is the period that we need wisdom more than ever. This wisdom should be from above that you may always conform to the outcome of the life after. Surely, persecution is around the corner now.

Countries are almost in despair, because no man was found worthy to help them solve their problems. Presidents, politicians, religious leaders, military, medical, technological and scientific powers of every nation are totally bankrupt in solutions to the Corona virus. Ebola in Central Congo region is still unsolved, because of geopolitical and economic reasons. Some in the world think it does not concern them. The locust is coming gradually and no global attention is given to it. The Lord Jesus said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee,” (Hebrews 13:5 and Deut. 31:6). Jesus is the solution to all fears. Isaiah 41:10 confirms the word of God again, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Men’s hearts are starting to fail them for fear of what is coming. In a matter of weeks the virus disarmed the nations. Persecution is coming and the apocalyptic horse riders are galloping.

I cannot believe this is the same world we saw last year in terms of what is before us. Who ever thought that the world would change so drastically and suddenly? You cannot travel freely anywhere. Be prepared to be quarantined in any country you enter. You may catch the virus. You may survive it or not. Millions of people have lost their jobs. Uncertainty about the future is starring many in the face; and many have lost their homes. Feeding is a problem for many. Children are victims in some nations were they have been orphaned. The educational system has being dealt a deadly punch and may never recover. Safe distance and mask wearing are now part of the norms. The ways churches and places of worship do things have changed. Holy water is no longer sprinkled but is now sprayed from a bottle as if spraying a bug, because of Corona virus. The unusual is happening in the world today. Riots, killings, terrorism and economic woes are turning the nations that are still struggling with the virus and locust situations into police states. They have manufactured fear and will soon MARK the masses.

In the midst of all these uncertainties there is hope that Jesus Christ is still in control. As men’s hearts are beginning to fail them, every true believer should remember the promises of God. Remember 1st John 5:4, “For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” This faith is in the Word of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. You can have access to this faith and be protected in this present life no matter what happens and be assured of the next life.

All you need is to acknowledge that you are a sinner and helpless. The place of help is found at the Cross of Jesus Christ. Come to Jesus on your bended knees, ask Him for forgiveness. The blood of Jesus Christ is the only ransom for sin. Ask Jesus to wash you clean with his blood and come into your life as your Savior and Lord. Attend a small bible believing church; start reading your King James Bible from the book of St. John. Then read the book of Proverbs for wise counsel. Ask to be baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ; (not name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost) because the name referred to here is Jesus Christ. Father, Son and Holy Ghost are not names but titles or positions. Jesus Christ in John 5:46 said, “I came in my Father’s name.” What name is that if not Jesus Christ? If you were baptized in Father, Son and Holy Ghost: Then know for sure you were not baptized in the NAME. According to Jesus Christ, “Among them that are born of women, there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist,” (Matt. 11:11). He baptized Jesus Christ and he baptized other people as a respected prophet and messenger of God. He baptized the God man. But read Acts 19:1-7, and you will see that even those baptized into John’s baptism were baptized again, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Acts 2:38, Peter said, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the Holy Ghost.” Things will never be the same on earth; this is the time to run to Jesus Christ, repent and be converted and baptized and receive the Holy Ghost before it is too late. Do not try to deny the facts, the world has changed, and persecution is coming, hold fast your faith. Have we entered Daniel’s 70th week or around the corner? The world has changed, rapture is next. Look up for Jesus Christ. I cannot believe this is happening suddenly. Are you ready? I wish we will all be ready.
