Gross darkness is coming upon the world but many people think it is a favorable change for the better. Darkness is creepy, cold, deceptive and destructive. In 2005 while at work at a patient’s bedside at a teaching hospital, I suddenly went blind in my right eye. Let me tell you, with my left eye closed I could not see anything out of my right eye but absolute darkness. Not a single ray of light; I lost a sense of direction, and imagination of what light used to be faded quickly. But Jesus Christ restored my sight when the medical community had no solution. Darkness is draining and depressing; imagine when God himself calls it gross darkness. Darkness involves the eyes, and a lot of things happen when you cannot see. People may not be physically blind at this end of time, but spiritual darkness will engulf them. Such darkness that does not allow you to see any part of your own sins or faults. Exodus 10:20-23 reads, “—that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be FELT, —they saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.” This is God stating that this darkness may be felt and He meant it. Also Isaiah 60:2 talks about gross darkness that will cover the people on the earth. There are so many ways that darkness will cover the earth; and these include:

1. The people of the earth have decided not to listen to the words of the Lord. The consequence is generally obvious; and undesirable. Jesus Christ is the light that lighteth every man that cometh into the world. In the book of St. John 3:18-21 it reads, “——And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil: and everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” This darkness has to do with people who reject or work contrary to the word of God. If you reject the word of God which is Jesus Christ (St. John 1:1-14), all that you bring on yourself is condemnation, as stated in St. John 3:18; because you are in great darkness. Jesus is the LIGHT and in him is no darkness at all.
2. Gross darkness comes on the people when they totally reject, ignore, and scorn at the word, wisdom and admonition of our Lord God. In this you can appreciate the openness of the Lord:

• The wisdom of God is found in St. John 3:16, ” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
• The admonition of the Lord is in St. John 3:7 which states, ” Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” There is no relationship with the Lord without being born again of water and of the Spirit. This is where the kingdom of God and relationship with the Lord begins. Are you born again?
• The WORD of God is the principal thing. The word gives you all necessary information, guidance and promises of God on which the relationship between man and GOD is based. Remember that Psalms 138:2 reads, “For thou hast magnified thy WORD above all thy NAME.”

There is coming darkness upon the world and it has started gradually, until it engulfs the whole world spiritually and physically. When people refuse the word of God that they may be saved, he sends them strong delusion that they may believe a LIE; 2nd Thessalonians 2:11. This kind of delusion is darkness, and it is God himself who shall send them this darkness wrapped in delusion, because of rejecting, ignoring and mocking the Gospel of salvation by Jesus Christ. The darkness that is coming upon the world today is hidden in delusion. This delusion can be seen, all over the world. The salvation of the Lord comes as a package of peace, mercy, love, hope, faith and much more (Galatians 5:22-24). Spiritual darkness comes in many forms that include:

• Unbelief in the word of God is the first and worst form of the cause of delusion and darkness
• Worldliness is dangerous because he who is in friendship with world is in enmity with God
• Idolatry brings delusion and later darkness; idolatry is all over the world including role models
• Selfishness is terrible today, contrary to God; Lovers of self rather than God. These are few of the Spiritual causes of delusion and darkness. While it is called today turn to Jesus Christ, get SAVED.

These physical causes of darkness that is coming on the world will be considered now for clarity:

1. Religious deceit is growing, there are so many churches and religious groups today, with diverse teachings that lull many to sleep and cause many to find cause to disbelief the Gospel of Christ. This will end up with the false prophet and the anti-Christ in mystery Babylon. Come out from among them and be ye separate, because delusion is on and gross darkness is creep upon humanity without Christ.
2. Political hypocrisy and unbelievable lies are cast upon the people of the earth. So many strange bed fellows are coming together creating more causes of darkness and wars. Who can forget terrorism on the rise, beheading of men without remorse. Shooting, bombing and destroying the common man.
3. Immorality is one singular factor that is bringing gross darkness upon the people. Here religion and morality collide. Many religious groups now accommodate morality based on human reasoning and not according to the word of God. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah and morality before darkness and judgment struck. Today there is rape, homosexuality, transgender, bisexual, adult and children pornography, broken marriages, prostitution, drugs and alcohol abuses and use. Drugs like marijuana are now used openly by whosoever wills. Religion, unbelief, drugs, poor morality, alcohol and ungodly music , all in the same mix brings delusion and darkness. Remember Hollywood and Lot’s wife.

The love of money and people living above their means, always makes people blame God when things do not work out their way. Where bad attitude comes with UNBELIEF in the word of God then be sure that delusion and darkness will be present. What is happening is that a lot of deception, delusion and darkness is growing more and more over the world. Darkness by the elements of nature are coming, like earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, famine, floods as man worships Satan and drowns in delusion.
