I AM RICH, AND INCREASED WITH GOODS AND HAVE NEED OF NOTHING – PART ONE

I AM RICH, AND INCREASED WITH GOODS AND HAVE NEED OF NOTHING

These are the days and hours of the seventh church age. You and I are living in the period of the last church age and the testimony of the Lord concerning this church age is prophetic and coming to pass. Read Revelation 3:14-22 and you will see what is going on right now in the world. Here the Lord was not talking about the heathens but about people who claim to know Him. There are very many people today who claim that they know the Lord or say they are Christians. The seventh church age is the most populated, educated and most distant from the Lord.

I AM RICH, AND INCREASED WITH GOODS AND HAVE NEED OF NOTHING

But the testimony of the Lord that shall stand, saith the holy scriptures. When we examine the testimony of the Lord about the seventh church age, we find the dismay of the Lord about the situation of the closing church. The Lord said:

  1. “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.” When you are neither cold nor hot, you are lukewarm. The Lord said, ” I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

b.” Because thou sayest, I am rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind and naked.”

These words are telling, of the present age in which we are living in, so let us take it one after another

  1. I am rich and increased with goods saith the Laodicean church group. This is what you see today, pride, arrogance and so called self sufficient. Look at the churches today, they are rolling in material wealth, churches have so much money, gold etc. They are all over the stock markets in investments. They now honor so called financial gurus to handle their church investments and even give new church offices to these financial experts. In the scriptures the brethren prayed for God to guide the church in their affairs but today we have financial experts. The brethren of old were looking for a city where the foundation was made by God. Today the Laodicean church is so rich that people in search of such prosperity have forgotten the ancient landmarks of the early church of the apostles. This brings lukewarmness because it saps your spiritual resolve to serve and follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

They are increased in goods. Yes the Lord was right 2000years ago when He spoke to apostle John about the last church age. Today churches  have acquired so much goods that they are even richer than certain governments. They even own banks, universities, colleges, hotel chain companies, hospitals, private airplanes and much more. Some of these churches are so profit driven that even their church members can neither attend their colleges or receive treatment from their hospitals because they are so expensive and their poor members are left in the cold; so much for church membership. They are increased in goods but bankrupt in the spirit.

  1. “And have need of nothing, saith the Laodicean church. Only God has need of nothing, not man or the Laodicean church. When you claim you have need of nothing; you are only lying to yourself. The Laodicean church is lying to herself. When you say you have need of nothing, you make yourself as God, but there is only one God Jesus the Christ. I came in my Father’s name.

Are you rich and increased in goods and have need of nothing; you are under the Laodicean church age influence. Look at the nations that think they are rich and increased in goods and have need of nothing. These nations are proud, arrogant and think they can act in place of God; these are mostly nations that read the bible have great preachers, much money but the bible said, ” they are wretched, and miserable and poor, and blind and naked.”

No matter what your church teaches you , the word of God is the final authority. If you search yourself properly and you find you or your church is rich, increased in goods and have need of nothing, then for sure you and your church may be wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked. You may be neither cold nor hot, and the Lord said, ” I will spue you out of my mouth.” You are in the Laodicean church. You may want to come out from among them and be ye separate before it is too late.
