THE LAST BOARDING CALL!!

1st Thessalonians 4:16-18, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

In my preparing this word for today, few experiences at the airport starting rushing to my brain; and I will narrate probably two major ones, for us to really understand where we stand and what is expected of us, as we near His return. Few years ago, it was my first experience to go on an international trip. As a travel consultant, I knew what it entailed to prepare people for such an experience. In my first experience, I did all that was required of me, got my visa, tickets and started my full preparation. On the fateful day of the journey, my flight was to depart from Lagos airport and I lived at Abuja, the flight was scheduled for 7pm, I left Abuja by flight at 9am because I did not want to miss my flight. I was at the Lagos international airport at 11am. The checking point had not been opened, so I had to wait till the exact boarding time. During the process of my waiting, I remembered I did not print out my hotel reservation and I had to pay more than usual to print it out at the airport. At 5pm the checking point desk was opened, the long queue was alarming but my mind was at rest, because I knew I had all that was required of me to board the flight. After my check in I proceeded to the custom and immigration desks for immigrant clearance. It was almost the boarding time, I was so bold because I knew I did not carry any illegal things with me, after I was cleared by the custom, I proceeded to the immigration desk,  there I noticed the lady that was attending to me, put my passport and ticket aside, then she asked me to wait, for only God knows the reason, then I heard the clarion call for boarding. The lady still held me, then I went to them to ask what the problem was, she just said I should go into one office, there they asked me where I was travelling to, how much I have with me and what I was going for. Then fear gripped me, the flight boarding was still on, then it was the final boarding call.  Then one of the officers said I had to settle them, I later realized that it was because I was a first time traveler, and they wanted to used the opportunity to sap money from me, then I overheard my name from the speakers over and over again, I started crying, will I miss the flight that I have paid some much for,  prepared so much for, then one of the officers said if I want to go I should give them a tip. I did not have a single Maura note on me so I had to drop 100 dollars for them to let me go because I did not want to miss the boarding call. It was painful to part with such an amount but because I did not want to miss the call, I had to even though I knew what they did wrong. Then in writing this, I said to myself if I can do that just to not miss a flight to another country earthly city for that matter; I must do everything possible not to miss the final boarding call. Just as there was hindrance at the airport, there will be hindrances to the pursuant of the heavenly call that we need to work against. 

There is coming a day, very soon, when we will all take one last flight. There will be one last boarding call and, sadly, there won’t be many who make the flight or few boarding! Jesus is Coming back to take His Bride away! If you are going to make that flight, there must be some preparation. The first thing you must do is BELIEVE THAT THE TRANSLATION IS TRUE AND IT MUST HAPPEN! We have other witnesses in the Bible that tell us of similar events that have already happened on a smaller scale, Genesis 5:24, ” And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.” Enoch was among the very first men, after the fall in the Garden of Eden, that loved God and walked with God. Enoch’s great faith was rewarded on a grand scale, he never allowed events, circumstances to hinder him. His life was so dedicated and his heart was so close to God that one day God said, Son you are closer to Heaven in your heart than you are to the earth, so just come on home right now. Enoch never died physically, but he was taken to heaven to be with the Lord that he loved so much. Enoch’s association with the pyramid was not for knowledge sake, he learnt how to live an exceptional live with God from the pyramid and it was counted to him for righteousness. Bro, Frisby said, “Enoch was translated that he should not see death, he was associated with the pyramid”.

2 Kings 2:11, ” And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” Another instance where we can catch a glimpse of the fact of the Rapture is in the story of the prophet Elijah. Here was a great man of God, a man who had called fire down out of heaven, who had defeated 400 prophets of Baal and had served God so faithfully with absolute trust and belief in God’s awesome power. Elijah never lost focus of his call for translation, even though Elisha could not see it. Beloved,  many may not see what you are seeing regarding the translation, some may speak ill of it never mind,  don’t let that hinder you from yielding to the last boarding call. The fire separated them and took Elijah away to glory. Elijah was transported into the glories of heaven.

 The Rapture of the elect of God, like everything else in God’s Word, must be accepted by faith. We must know that it is coming just as surely as I knew that the flight to another earthly country was coming. If you are going to board this flight, there has to be some preparation and you must be qualified for it. 

A quote from Bro Frisby, “Where will the churches be standing if the translation should take place today? Where would you be? It is going to take a special type of material to go up with the Lord in the translation. We are in the preparation time. Who is ready? Qualification means being prepared. Behold, the bride makes herself ready. The Qualifications:” There should be no guile, or fraud in the body of Christ. You should not cheat your brother. The elect will be honest. There should be no gossip. Each of us will give account. Talk more about the right things instead of the wrong things. If you don’t have the facts, don’t say anything. Talk about the word of God and the coming of the Lord, not about yourself. Give the Lord time and credit. Gossip, lies and hates is a No, No, to the Lord. No one that I know will take any trip without making some preparations for the journey. Be ready for the translation, the aircraft is at the tarmac, waiting for boarding, everything is set and ready. Be prepared.
