God knew about you
This reminder helps to assure the reader and those going through tempting times that nothing is hidden before the Lord. Things we do on earth influence where we spend eternity. The righteous suffer a lot of afflictions but the Lord has a way of delivering those who trust in him. Some people of God have gone through good times and bad times but the truth is that God knows all about you.
Every human being has a beginning and an end; a day to be born and a day to die or be changed into immortality. Nobody created himself or herself, nobody is in control of when they come or go from the earth. No person knows what tomorrow holds for them; you may go to bed tonight with no assurance of waking up in the morning. This shows you how limited, and dependent we are on who controls all these activities. There are billions of people who have lived and are still dwelling on the earth; none of them has control of their second to minute actions on earth. You are on earth, and it is a place that is equally mysterious. They say the earth is circular; but someone sits on the circle of the earth. Isa 40:22 reads, “It is he (God) that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers.” This gives you, a picture of who knows and controls all things on earth and other universes.
The Lord mentioned the days of Noah as an important milestone in the affairs of man on earth. Before and during the days of Noah men lived between 365 to over 900 years. It was a kind of millennium period. Something happened when Noah was a young man; Gen. 6:1-3, explains how there was the first population explosion on earth; and humans started to act and leave lives contrary to the word of God. Contrary marriages came into play; no one cared about the will of God or being unequally yoked with the unbeliever. Genes were mixed and mingled and giants were born in the land. God created Adam and Eve but by the days of Noah, man had created his own version of human relationship outside the pattern of God. Man started to dishonor the marriage institution. If God wanted in any other way he would have created Adam and Mark as a couple or made two or more Eves for Adam. God had a plan for multiplying the human race. But both man and satan jumped ahead of God to a life of sin and death.
Take time to imagine if you could have ever come into existence if Adam and Mark were the first two creatures of God? Can a couple of two men have been able to multiply on earth into billions? The truth is clear, whoever created Adam and Eve knew all about you, and the only way procreation could come by. Do you know that even as wicked as Cain was, he knew that procreation comes via a female? This is so because God designed the female womb to carry offspring, even in animals. Think about it, you did not create yourself and if anything about you does not have a pattern, in God’s tested design or blue print; then something is wrong, and it cannot be an issue with the designer. The bible confirms that Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord, Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. God knew Noah and all that concerned him. Noah stood apart from all that dwelt on the earth in his day.
In Gen. 17:1-2, God confirmed to Abraham then Abram, saying “I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect; and I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.” Also in Gen. 18:10, you find a man over 90 years old and his wife over 80 years being told she would conceive and have a child. That looked impossible with limited minds of humans. The Lord said to Abraham and Sarah, “I will certainly return to thee according to the time of life; and lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.” This shows you, who creates a child and who is aware when and who these people are. This proves that God knows all about you, as he knew about Isaac and when each person will arrive on this earth. Do you think your coming to earth was a surprise to God? If so think again.
Jer. 1:4-5 reads, “Then the word of the Lord came unto me saying; before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a Prophet unto the nations.” This is clear that the Lord knew about Jeremiah, when he was to be born and the calling of God upon him. Who else should Jeremiah please but God? The same goes for every human being, who acknowledges that God knows about him as he knew about Jeremiah.
In Isa. 44:24-28 you will find the word of the Lord about King Cyrus of Persia; read it and see that God knows all about you, no matter who you are. Verse 24 of this chapter reads, “That saith of Cyrus, he is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure even saying to Jerusalem, thou shalt be built; and to the temple thy foundation shall be laid.” Study also Isa. 45: 1-7 and Ezra 1:1-4. Here a Persian king stated, “The God of heaven hath charged me to build an house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.” This again shows that God knows about everyone, and that demands our attention.
A study of Luke 1:1-63, will tell you about the extent God went through, to tell us about his knowledge of John the Baptist coming to earth. In verse 13 God gave his name as John. He knew about John’s birth and the way he wanted him to leave his life and the job he had for him. God was aware that John would be in prison and eventually be beheaded. Remember the birth of Jesus Christ and his life and the reason he came to earth was made public before he arrived on earth. He as God knew what he was going to do in the likeness of man.
Remember Samson in Judges 13:1-25, an angel announced his coming, his manner of life and the purpose of God in his life. Do you know God has a purpose for your life? Also when Rebecca was pregnant, she had twins in her womb and the Lord gave her the summary of their lives, Gen. 25:21-26. The Lord said, Jacob I love and Esau I hate. God knows what manner of life you will leave and what your level of obedience to God’s word will be and where you will end, fear God. What about you, does God know all about you; your secret lives and un-confessed sins. He sees you and knows your thoughts.
