A QUIET MOMENT WITH GOD
LOVING THE LORD IS SIMPLE. HOWEVER, SOMETIMES WE CAN STRUGGLE WITH READING AND UNDERSTANDING GOD’S MESSAGE TO US. THIS BIBLE PLAN IS DESIGNED TO BE A DAILY GUIDE THROUGH GOD’S WORD, HIS PROMISES AND HIS DESIRES FOR OUR FUTURE, BOTH ON EARTH AND IN HEAVEN, AS TRUE BELIEVERS, Study – (Psalm 119:105).

……….
Day 1
Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

The great commission
Remember the song, “How great is our God.” |
Acts 1:1-26 | In Matt. 28:18-20, Jesus said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and on earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name (not names) of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” That name is Jesus Christ, study John 5:43.
Jesus Christ confirmed it in Acts 1:8. |
Rom. 1:1-32
The power of God unto salvation. |
The gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation and healing and translation, to those that truly believe and keep the sayings of the scriptures.
But those that disbelieve or abuse the saying of the scriptures or reject the gift of God face eternal damnation, (Mark 3:29). And when men do not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. These lead to damnation. |
Rom. 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” |
……..
Day 2
Rom. 2: 8-10, “But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and of the Gentile; But glory , honor, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.”

Power from on high
Remember the song, “by the anointing Jesus break the york.” |
Acts 2:1-47 | This was the fulfillment of the promise Jesus Christ made to the apostles and whosoever believeth the gospel of Christ.
On the day of pentecost this came to pass. They received the Holy Ghost and spoke with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. This is for you today if you can believe the gospel of Christ the Lord of all. The Holy Ghost coming upon the believer is that power from on high. |
Rom. 2:1-29
For there is no respect of persons with God |
There is no respect of persons with God. It is the goodness of God that leadeth thee to repentance.
We should also avoid condemning people because God is the one who will render to every man according to his deeds. God will judge the secrets of men. Be sure to confess your sins and wrong doing now before God judges the secret of men. |
Luke 11:13, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” |
………..
Day 3
Acts 3:16, “And in his name, through faith in his name, hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

It was a miracle
Remember the song, “Yesterday, Today and Forever.” |
Acts 3:1-26 | A true believer has nothing to offer anyone in need but Jesus Christ. What do you have that you did not receive from God? He said silver and gold are mine, (Haggai 2: 8-9). Also Psalm 50:10-12, and the cattle upon a thousand hills is mine. Don’t boast about what you have for it was given you from above by grace.
That was why Peter said, , silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he that was lame got up and walked. Use the authority in the name of Jesus Christ if you are saved. Remember Mark 16: 15-20. |
Rom. 3: 1-31
For all have sinned |
Sin does not differentiate between races, colors, languages, nationality or economic status. The soul that sinneth it shall die, (Ezekiel 18:20-21). Man was already dead from the fall of Adam, spiritually. But God came in the person of Jesus Christ,to give man a chance at reconciliation, regaining life, which is a new spiritual relationship with God through Jesus Christ; not by joining a denomination as a member, (John 1:12; 2nd Cor. 5: 18-20). Salvation is a miracle. | Rom. 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” |
………….
Day 4
Rom. 4:19, 1-22 “And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, nor yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb. – – – And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was also able to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.”

Neither is there salvation in any other name
Remember this song, “Nothing but the blood of Jesus Christ.” |
Acts 4:1-37 | Most people when they are saved fail to acknowledge that believing in Christ Jesus comes with some persecution and tribulations from time to time. Here the apostles had a first taste of persecution.
Persecution we saw brought revival amongst the apostles and disciples of Jesus Christ. The apostle proclaimed the power and authority that is in the name of Jesus Christ; and which is not found in any other name; such that has the power to save a sinner, like us. And to resurrect the dead as only Jesus Christ ever rose from the dead. This was power. The dead in Christ shall rise again and put on immortality. |
Rom. 4: 1-25
It shall be imputed unto us also |
Abraham believed God for the impossible and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Who against hope, believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken,so shall thy seed be. He believed God for the seed to come, both in Isaac and in the fulfillment in Christ Jesus, the real seed.
So likewise we today if we believe that Jesus Christ will come as He promised in John 14 1: 1-3, and show our faith in that promise by our work also (witnessing and testifying to the truth of the promise; it will be imputed unto us for righteousness. |
Rom. 4:20, “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.” |
………………
Day 5
Acts 5:38-39, “And now I say unto you, refrain from these men, and let them alone; for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nothing; But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it, lest perhaps ye be found even to fight against God.”

Great fear among the believers
Remember the song, “Glory to His holy name.” |
Acts 5:1-42 | As we pray for revival and restoration, we must learn from the days of the apostles when the Holy Ghost was given unto them for service in the gospel. Lies were not tolerated as was seen in the case of Ananias and Sapphira. Great fear came upon all the church and upon as many as heard these things. Many signs and wonders were wrought among the people. Many were healed by Peter’s shadow passing on them. God will do greater than that today if we truly abide in him.
Today, we lie, cheat, defraud, commit sexual immoralities and consult mediums, like oracles, native doctors and gurus, etc. These cannot be tolerated in an atmosphere of the Holy Ghost in full motion, in revival and restoration. We better judge ourselves before we are judged. Persecution is a sister to revival and restoration. As the revival came, so came signs and wonders and casting out of demons, also side by side was persecution, they were beaten, but they rejoiced. They were forbidden to preach in the name of Jesus Christ. 2nd Timothy 3:12, “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” |
Rom. 5: 1-25
Being justified by faith |
It is grace that makes the difference between condemnation in Adam and justification in Christ. In Adam we had sin and death but in Christ we have righteousness and life.
The first sin wrought the moral ruin of the race. Death is universal, verses 12, 14, all die, little children, moral people, and religious people equally with the depraved. For a universal effect there must be a universal cause; that cause is a state of universal cause. That cause is a state of universal sin verse 12. This universal sin had a cause. The consequences of Adam’s sin was that many were made sinners. By the offense of one judgment came upon all men unto condemnation, (personal sins are not meant here). From Adam to Moses the physical death was not due to the sinful acts of those who die; it was due to universal sinful state, or nature, and that state is declared to be our inheritance from Adam. But Jesus Christ brought life and immortality through the gospel. The Word of God is the liquid form of the Holy Spirit that gives life and delivers from sin. The Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ as man. |
Acts 5:29, “We ought to obey God rather than men.”
Rom. 5:8, “But God commendeth his love towards us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” |
…………..
Day 6
Acts 6:2-4, “It is not fitting that we should leave the word of God and serve table . Wherefore, brethren, look among you for seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.”

Wisdom in doing God’s work
Remember the song, “We will work till Jesus comes.” |
Acts 6:1-15 | In the body of Christ, the church, internal dissension must be overcome by love.
The disciples had an issue and brought it before the apostles. The apostles examined the matter and knew they could assign this issue to other brethren to hand while they concentrated on prayer and the ministry of the word. It was a women’s issue. The apostles asked the congregation to seek out seven men not women, honest report, not greedy people, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom to be appointed to take care of the problem. These days churches or pastors or bishops hand pick such representatives, instead of the congregation, and they even pick women and in some cases put the women above the men. Mary Magdalene, Mary and Martha were there and even had a better relationship with Jesus Christ but they were never appointed. Think on this for a while. When the disciples had picked the seven based on the given parameter, the apostles prayed for them and laid their hand on them. But these days be careful of those that lay hands on you. Of those they chose and laid hands on Stephen was full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. |
Rom. 6: 1-23
Sin shall not have dominion over you |
In this chapter there are 4 key words which indicate the believer’s responsibility in relation to God’s sanctifying work: To “know” the facts of our union and identification with Christ in His death and resurrection, (verses 3, 6, 9). To “reckon” or count these facts to be true concerning ourselves, (verses 11). To “yield,” or present ourselves once for all as alive from the dead for God’s possession and use, (verses 13, 16, 19) To “obey” in the realization that sanctification can proceed only as we are obedient to the will of God as revealed in His Word,(verses 16-17).
The old man refers to all that man was in Adam; the man of old, the corrupt human nature, the inborn tendency to evil in all men. Positionally, in the reckoning of God, the old man has been crucified, and the believer is exhorted to make this good in experience, reckoning it to be so by definitely, putting off the old man and putting on the new man.The law could not give life, and sin results in death. Crucifixion with Christ, has intervened to free the servant from his double bondage to sin and to the law. As natural death free a wife from the law of her husband, so crucifixion with Christ sets the believer free from the law (the old husband) and makes him eligible to be married to another, that is the risen Christ. |
Rom. 6:23, “For the wages if sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.” |
…………..
Day 7
Rom. 7:22-23, 25, “I delight in the law of God after the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So, then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh, the law of sin.”

He died in the perfect will of God.
Remember the song, “Peace in the valley.” |
Acts 7:1-60 | Stephen was not only persecuted but arrested and brought before the Sanhedrin or council, and accusers came forward to accuse him based on their law and the preaching of the gospel of Christ Jesus. They claimed they had heard him say that Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered to them.
Stephen stood before them and traced the history of the Jews from the calling of Abraham, the prophecies of the prophets until the death of the Just One whom they betrayed and murdered. Stephen bore true witness against them, quoting the testimony of writings which they acknowledged to be inspired. He spoke about the persistent rejection of God and his servants. Finally his testimony against them they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. But he full of the Holy Spirit, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God. With one accord they ran towards him and stoned him to death; saying Lord Jesus receive my spirit. And as he knelt down and cried with a loud voice, Lord lay not this sin to their charge, and he fell asleep and immediately woke up in paradise. |
Rom. 7:1-25
Is the law sin? |
Saul represented the old nature and Paul the new nature. He was a godly Jew under the law. He held himself blameless as concerning the law. He had lived in all good conscience. But with his conversion came the new light upon the law itself. He now perceived it to be spiritual.
He now saw that, so far from having kept it, he was condemned by it. He had supposed himself to be alive, but now the commandment really came and he died. By great revelation he now knew himself to be dead to the law by the body of Christ. And in the power of the indwelling Spirit, free from the law of sin and death; while the righteousness of the law was wrought in him (not by him) as he walked after the Spirit. The law of the Spirit, having power to deliver the believer from the law of sin which is in his members., and his conscience from condemnation by the Mosaic law. Moreover the Spirit works in the yielded Christian the very righteousness which Moses’ law requires. |
Rom. 7:24, “Oh, wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” |
