A QUIET MOMENT WITH GOD

LOVING THE LORD IS SIMPLE. HOWEVER, SOMETIMES WE CAN STRUGGLE WITH READING AND UNDERSTANDING GOD’S MESSAGE TO US. THIS BIBLE PLAN IS DESIGNED TO BE A DAILY GUIDE THROUGH GOD’S WORD, HIS PROMISES AND HIS DESIRES FOR OUR FUTURE, BOTH ON EARTH AND IN HEAVEN, AS TRUE BELIEVERS, Study – (Psalm 119:105).

WEEK # 28

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” Jesus Christ is still the Way, the Truth, the Life, the Door, the Light, the Resurrection, the true Vine, the good Shepherd and the All in All; but He was never a denomination.

Day 1

John 10:9, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture.”

Rev. 3:20, “Behold I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

I am the Way

Remember the song, “Jesus is knocking at the door.”

John 14:1-31

Acts 4:12

Heb. 10:20

Matt. 7:13-14

Way is a road, track, street or path for traveling along. It is a method that you use to do or achieve something.

Remember Psalm 25: 4, Show me thy ways, O Lord teach me thy paths; verse 12, What man is he that feareth the Lord? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

Remember also, Psalm 119:105, Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

I am the Door

John 10:7-18

Rev. 3:7-13; 20

Matt. 25:10

Doors keep us safe. Doors give us privacy. Doors give us access, and in life, doors are often a picture of opportunity or a loss of opportunity Doors can be opened or closed. Think of Matt. 24:33

Remember Psalm 24:7

Rev. 4:1, “After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven.”

Day 2

John 1:17, “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”

John 4:24, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in Spirit and in truth.”

I am the Truth

Remember the song, “I am the way, the truth and the life.”

John 14:1-6

John 8:34-36

Since Adam and Eve sinned and were driven out of the Garden of Eden, man has remained in bondage of death and fear through sin. But Jesus came to set us free; If the Son therefore shall make you free (through salvation), ye shall be free indeed.

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth, (Psalm 145:18). Thy word is true from the beginning, (Psalm 119:160).

I am the true Vine

John 15:1-17

Here Jesus Christ was letting us know the importance of abiding in Him. And the way to abide in Him is through believing and accepting his every word, statues and commandments. Picking up your cross and following Him, daily. Be filled with the Holy Ghost and love his soon appearing for the translation. John 17:17, “Sanctify them by the truth , your word is truth.”

Day 3

John 10:25-26, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.Believest thou this?”

I am the Life

Remember the song, “I am the resurrection and the life.”

1st John 5:11-20

John 6:35

John 3:16

Rom. 6:23

Human life on earth is but a shadow of what real life is. Real life is eternal, and comes from Jesus Christ. You can have it by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior; through repentance and conversion. Real life does not die because you are in Christ. Jesus Christ said, “He that believeth in me shall not die, if he were dead yet shall he live, believest thou this?” Whether a person is dead or alive, what matters is whether you are saved or not.

He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.-; This life is in the Son of God, only.

I am the Resurrection.

John 11: 1-26

John 14:1-31

Resurrection has to do with death or sleeping in the Lord. Death is not the issue that is important. What is important is at death were you saved or unsaved, did you accept or reject Jesus Christ. If you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, then your life is hidden with Christ in God and you cannot die but transition to paradise in sleep. 1st Thess. 4:15, talks about those who are “asleep.” Or dead for the lost.

Resurrection is waking from sleep, to eternal life in Christ Jesus only.

Col. 3:3, “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”

Verse 4, “When Christ who is our life shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

Day 4

Job 33: 4, “The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.”

Rev. 11:11, “And after three days, and a half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.”

I am the breath of Life

Remember the song, “I am the bread of life.”

Gen. 2:7

Job 27:3

Job 33:4

Rev. 11:11

Breath is something so wonderful as well as powerful. God made man out of the dust of the ground. When God made man, there was no life in him and therefore no motion. When a person is dead there is no more circulation and no breathing. Man is like a lying statue.

But the Bible said, God breathed into man’s nostril, the breath of life, and man became a living soul. Take away air or block the nostril and man is dead. The breath of God is called the breath of life upon which man depends to be alive. You wonder why man should be rebellious in their dealings with God.

Jesus Christ is the giver of the Spirit of life. He only breathed into man for life. Also in John 20: 21-23, Jesus breathed on them, and said unto them Receive ye the Holy Ghost.

I am the Bread of life

John 6:25- 59

John 8:35

Luke 22:19

Jesus Christ called himself the bread of life. This bread is the only bread that gives eternal life; and that a man may eat and never die. This bread came down from heaven. This bread gives life and if not discerned before eating it may cause sickness and some sleep or die for eating wrongly or unworthily.

This bread is the body of Jesus Christ. With this body or bread he took or paid for our diseases and sicknesses; for by his stripes were healed. Eat this bread with full understanding. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If any man eats the bread he shall live forever, and the bread which I shall give is my flesh. Have you eaten it.

Job 27:3, “All the while my breath is in me, and the Spirit of God is in my nostril.”

Day 5

John 1:9, “That was the true Light which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”

I am the Light

Remember the song,”Jesus the Light of the world.”

John 1:3-12

John 8:12

God said, “Let there be light and there was light,” (Gen. 1:3). Jesus Christ said, “I am the Light of the world, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

God spoke the light that was in him into existence. He became flesh (the Word) and dwelt among men. He confirmed that not only did He come in his Father’s name ; but declared, “I am the light of the world.”

This Light lighteth every man that cometh into the world. Jesus Christ is that Light and has it lightened you? Has your darkness been turned into light? This can only happen through salvation found in Jesus Christ’s death on the Cross of Calvary.

I am He that liveth and was dead and I am alive for evermore.

Rev. 1:8- 18

This is about the deity of Jesus Christ. He is eternal. He can come or appear in any form. Death and life mean nothing to him, for he created both and function in both realms. He as God does not and cannot die, but took the form of man to taste death for the sins of men.

That is why Jesus Christ said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He has the keys of death and hell, and dwells in a light no man can approach. Heaven and Paradise are his and those who love him. There is coming the New Heaven and New Earth, where death will be no more; but eternal life will be the condition.

Heb. 13:8, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

Day 6

Psalm 23:1, “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.” – , “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

I am the Good Shepherd

Remember the song, “My Shepherd is the Lord.”

John 10:11-18

Psalm 23:1-6

Jesus called himself the Good Shepherd. And He is the only Shepherd who laid down his life for his sheep. The Good Shepherd shed his blood, and his blood was for the ransom for sin.

His blood is for the cleansing of our sins and a weapon for fighting a good fight against satan and demons.

The sheep knows his voice; and he in turn knows and calls his sheep by name.

Do you know his voice and does He call you by your name?

I am the First and the Last

Rev. 1:1-18

When Jesus Christ said, “I am the First and the Last, or I am Alpha and Omega, or I am the Beginning and the Ending or I am the Resurrection and the L; they all refer to Life; refer to All in All. This refers to Him as the Creator of all things and consists in all things.

Which makes him Omniscience- (all knowing),

Omnipotent- (all powerful), omnipresent-(all present), and omnibenevolent- (supremely good). He is the same in the past, present and future. Future is past to him

Psalm 23:4, “Yea, though I work through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

Day 7

1st Cor. 15:28, “And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.”

I am the ALL in ALL

Remember the song, “Blessed Assurance.”

Eph. 1:1-14;

Col.1:1-19

1st Cor.15:19-28

When we talk of all in all, as believers, we are referring to God in control of all that he had and continues to create. It alludes to the omnipresent and all pervasive nature of the only true God.

When God is all in all, our redemption will be fully accomplished and God will be glorified.

John 14:7-20

1st Tim. 2:5

Phil.2:9-11

John 15:1-27

God in the office of the Holy Ghost dwells in all believers and identifies with both the dead or sleeping in the Lord and the believers who are physically alive. He is not the God of the dead but of the living, (Matt. 22:32).

God is the supreme authority over everything, everywhere and whenever.

Eph. 4:6, “One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all and in you all.”
