A QUIET MOMENT WITH GOD

LOVING THE LORD IS SIMPLE. HOWEVER, SOMETIMES WE CAN STRUGGLE WITH READING AND UNDERSTANDING GOD’S MESSAGE TO US. THIS BIBLE PLAN IS DESIGNED TO BE A DAILY GUIDE THROUGH GOD’S WORD, HIS PROMISES AND HIS DESIRES FOR OUR FUTURE, BOTH ON EARTH AND IN HEAVEN, AS TRUE BELIEVERS, Study – (Psalm 119:105).

WEEK # 22

Matt. 26:40-41, “And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, what, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

The hour of dangerous and perilous times: Truly, the Lord will give us great faith and joy. But also He is giving other events to warn the world and to keep His children alert. Do not sleep, keep awake for all these vital prophecies are to alert the elect and to keep them praying and witnessing. Scroll #230

Scroll #1, “Also a new anointing will bring calm and rest to the chosen Elect in this crisis time. They will never feel anything quite like this. Perfect Saints.”

Day 1

Matt. 26:39, “And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.” Luke 22:46, “Why sleep ye? Rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.”

Gethsemane And, Betrayal of Jesus

Remember the song, “Down from His glory.”

Luke 22: 39-71 Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners like you and I. This death had to do with torture and crucifixion. It was a battle that He had to win. The Cross was the easy part for Jesus Christ. He did not waste time about the Cross, because He already won the battle. The battle was at the garden of Gethsemane. He came face to face with the actual cost of the sins of the world. Like every spiritual battle you must face it alone with God watching.

He came with his disciples to the garden, and then took Peter, James and John and went further into the garden. When they got to a point he told them that He was going a little further alone to pray and that they should watch with him.

He went to pray, and came back to them, but found them sleeping. This happened three times in a row. This was his great battle of sacrifice and obedience to give his life and obey the Father’s will and judgment. The bible testified in Luke 22:44, that he prayed until his sweat was as it were drops of blood falling to the ground. There appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. Here Jesus won the battle of our salvation on his knees in Gethsemane.

Matt. 26: 36-56 Jesus prayed to the Father saying, “Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine be done.” That was when He won the battle for the salvation of whosoever will believe the gospel. But the disciples were fast asleep and could not hold up with him in prayer.

Prayer for them to be able to stand the temptation that was coming with his coming death. But Jesus Christ had won the battle already. Right there in the garden as Jesus was talking to the disciples, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.

But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? They took Jesus from the garden to the high priest. The men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him. And when they had blind folded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying prophesy, who is it that smote thee? Then they took Jesus to pilate, who ordered them to take him to Herod first. And nothing worthy of death was done unto him.

Matt. 26:45, “Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.”

Day 2

Matt. 27:19, “When he (Pilate) was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.”

Isaiah 53:3, “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.”

The Trial and Whipping post of, and mocking of Jesus.

Remember the song, “Victory in Jesus.

Matt. 27:1-5, 11-32 They took Jesus to Pilate, and he in turn asked the chief priests and elders and the Jews, what shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? The chief priests and elders already persuaded the multitude that they should ask for the release of Barabbas, a murderer and to destroy Jesus. They all said unto him, Let him be crucified.

When Pilate could not prevail on the Jews, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this just person.”

Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. Then he released Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

Isaiah 53:1-12 (Lord have mercy). The soldiers of Pilate took Jesus into a common hall, and gathered together unto him the whole band of soldiers. And they already took him to the whipping post and scourged him (1st Peter 2:24).

They stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And put a platted crown of thorns upon the head of Jesus, bleeding; and they mocked him, saying Hail King of the Jews. And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

After they had mocked him they took off the robe and put on his own raiment, and led him away to crucify him.

1st Peter, “1st Peter 2:24, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

Day 3

Exod. 12:13, “And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.”

Rev. 12:11, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

There is so much witchcraft in the world today. Witch craft activities are shown on television. Witchcraft is killing children and causing a lot of blood shed through human and animal sacrifices. When you see Satan using blood in this way, know that great power is coming to the elect. The saints are going to call upon the blood of Jesus Christ to fight against satanic powers.” CD#1237 BLOOD, FIRE AND FAITH (Alert #2).

The Blood of Jesus

Remember the song, “When I see the blood.”

Matt. 27:33-50

Rom. 3:23-25

Rom. 5:1-10

The sweat from Jesus began to drop like drops of blood as he prayed in the garden. But now his blood started to flow from the whipping post, by the horror of a Roman scourging. As they hit Jesus in the head (Matt. 27:30), the thorns from the crown pushed into the skin and He began bleeding. The thorns also cause damage to the nerves that supply the face, causing intense pain down the face and neck. It was agony He faced to pay for our sins. How can we let him down by rejecting the gift of God, Jesus the Christ.

The scourge whip is a whip or lash, especially a multi-thong type, used to inflict severe corporal punishment or self-mortification. It is usually made of leather.

Jesus Christ endured much at that whipping post, and we must not waste His suffering. Remember that by His stripes we are healed and by His blood our sins are washed away.

Exod. 12:1-14-

Acts 20:22-28

On the day of deliverance of the children of Israel from Egypt, blood was involved. The only defense against death was the blood on that night; and it was faith and obedience to God’s command that was in action.

Heb. 9:22, Shows us that blood was absolutely the only remedy for sin: And it is the blood of Jesus Christ.

The Word, the Name and the Blood are the same, three of them in One. The Word became flesh, Came in the Father’s Name and shed His Blood. In the blood is life, the power of the Word. The atonement is in the blood and the devil cannot cross or come against the shed Blood of Jesus. When you use the blood and fire of the Word in faith Satan is always defeated.

Psalm 50:5 Jesus blood was a sacrifice and those who believe it and use it, and claim the atonement, will be gathered unto the Lord. They are his saints.

Heb. 13:12, “Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.”

Heb. 9:22, “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.”

Day 4

Gal. 6:14, “But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.”

The Cross of Jesus is a symbol of love. That there is no greater love than that a man laid down His life for another (you and I). The Cross of Jesus Christ is the only hope for the sinner.

The Cross of Jesus

Remember the song, “At the Cross.”

John 19:1-17

Col. 1:1-18

Jesus bearing his own cross went forth to Golgotha. We must remember that the way home to heaven is the Cross. At the Cross, Jesus said, It is finished. That settled all debt owed for sin to everyone that believeth His death on the Cross.

His death on the Cross burst open the gates of hell as Jesus went from death on the Cross to hell and Paradise. In Hell, Jesus collected the keys of hell and death, (Rev. 1:17-19).

The power of the Cross of Christ reconciles humanity with our heavenly Father. Who also came in flesh to make the way. I am the way, the Truth and the Life.

1st Cor. 1:1-31

Phil. 2:1-10

By his death on the Cross death had no more dominion over every true believer. The fear of death is destroyed Remember 1st Cor. 15:51-58, “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, ( Because of the Cross). The atonement of the blood of Jesus Christ on the altar of the Cross is the door to everything, salvation, healing, and heaven. Eph. 2:16, “And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the Cross, having slain the enmity thereby.”

Day 5

Mark 15:39, “And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the son of God.”

The last witnesses at the cross of Jesus.

The thief on the cross.

John and Mary.

The centurion.

The women.

Remember the song, “When we all get to heaven.”

Matt. 27: 54-56 The centurion who was in-charge of the crucification, and those who were with him saw all that happened, the quakes and the other things which were done, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God.” The centurion made a good and true confession like many today, but he lost the opportunity to talk to God and ask for mercy. He could have said , “This is truly this IS the Son of God and taken action for guaranteed repentance and forgiveness but he delayed until it was too late when he said with the others Truly this WAS the Son of God.

The thief on the cross, despite that he himself was crucified, looked at Jesus and called Him Lord, and made his confession when he said, we rightly are getting what we deserve but this man had done nothing. He went ahead to say to Jesus, remember me when you come into thy kingdom. How did he know Jesus was King and had a kingdom? Furthermore the thief was dying but had a hope of appearing in another kingdom that Jesus owned. He was a double witness both on earth and in Paradise and heaven. Because Jesus said to him, “Today shalt thou be with me in Paradise.” He would tell people in paradise about being an eye witness at Calvary Cross of Jesus Christ the Lord.

John 19: 25-30 Jesus in his last few minutes on the cross saw both his mother and the disciple whom he loved (John) standing by the cross, and He said to Mary his earthly mother, who was present at his crucifiction, “ Woman behold thy son. And also saith to that disciple, Behold thy mother. And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home. They were true witnesses who saw all that happened.

There were several women who followed Jesus to the cross. These women were fearless and really loved the Lord.

These women includedMary the mother of Jesus, her sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas and Mary Magdalene.

Others included Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee’s children. And several other women standing far off watching.

Is your personal testimony of Jesus Christ a positive or negative one? Can you call yourself a witness for Jesus Christ, in the true sense like the thief on the Cross. Think about it. Your witness counts.

Mark 16:17, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name (Jesus Christ) shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Day 6

Matt. 27:52-53, “And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the city and appeared unto many.”

Study Scroll #48 paragraph 3, “ Before He returns great things will happen again. Jesus will give the elect the same witness that He gave the early church.”

The signs at the death and Resurrection

Of Jesus

Remember the song, “Near the Cross.”

Matt. 27: 50-53

2nd Chron. 3:14

Heb. 10:19-22

Jesus when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

Immediately, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from top to the bottom; And the earth did quake, and the rock rent. (God shook the earth and rocks as an earthquake and that was no joke. At the end of the age the Lord prophesied that there would be earthquakes in diverse places as we are seeing today, deaths and destruction unimaginable).

And graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, (That was a foreshadow of the translation of the saints to occur anytime soon. The graves opened at the last loud cry of Jesus on the Cross. Who knows what He said when He cried out that graves opened. The graves that opened meant that something woke them up. Only the sleeping saints); They arose and came out of the graves after His resurrection.

John 19:30-37

Exod. 26:31-35 36:35.

The brethren had their graves opened. What a sight. And they waited calmly whether sitting or laying or watching, for three days, till Jesus arose then could they come out of the open graves. That was the power of Christ, the power of the Cross, the power of eternity.

The Jews because the sabbath day was approaching did not want the bodies of people to remain on the cross. So they requested pilate to break their legs if they are not dead so that their bone should be broken so that they would die fast and be taken down the cross. The soldiers came and broke the legs of the two thieves crucified with Jesus

But when they came to Jesus they found He was already dead and did not need to break his bones. That was a sign and miracle at the Cross.

For prophecies of the prophets to fulfill, one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water., but his bone was not broken. (Study, Exd.12:46; Num. 9:12 and Psalm 34:20).

PSALM 16:10, “For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.”

John 2:19, “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up”

Day 7

1st Cor. 1:18, “For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish, foolishness; but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God.”

What the Cross of Jesus is to the Believer

Remember the song, “Must Jesus bear the Cross alone.”

1st Cor. 1:18-31

Heb. 2:9-18

The Cross of Jesus Christ to the believer stands for salvation through Christ’s sacrifice; redemption, atonement; suffering, love and faith. It is the most significant symbol of our faith; it is the representation of the message that is the heart and soul of the gospel. Without the Cross and the Resurrection and the Ascension there would be no Christianity.

God came to earth in the form of man to be able to die, and the death of the Cross. God cannot die so He came as man in the form of baby Jesus, grew as man limited himself for 331/2 years to show man the way of salvation and the coming Kingdom of heaven, the translation and much more. He ended his journey of earth for man at the Cross, that whosoever believeth it what He came to do will be saved. The journey to make heaven begins at the Cross of Jesus Christ.

The main message of the Cross is that Jesus Christ died on the Cross to pay for our sins. It is left to each person to accept it or reject it. Accepting it is eternal life and rejecting it is eternal damnation, (Mark 3:29).

Ephesians 2:1-22

Rev. 1:18

The Cross represents the forgiveness of sin and God’s reconciliation with humanity. Paul said the Cross is a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Greeks or Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks or Gentiles, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

The Cross that Jesus died on serves as our reminder of the hideousness of our sin, and the value God places on His glory and justice.

The Cross of Jesus Christ remains the only place where the power of sin can be destroyed and also where the power to work above sin can be obtained. The Cross of Jesus when believed upon can fix your past, your present and your future. Most importantly, it is the cure for sin, sicknesses and diseases.

Through the Cross Jesus delivered them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Matt. 16:24, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

Rev. 1:18, “I am he that liveth, and was dead; behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
