WHAT A MEETING IN THE AIR THAT WILL BEWHAT A MEETING IN THE AIR THAT WILL BE

When you hear about a meeting in the air, your imagination runs wild because of the strength and inspiration that is involved. I do not know of anyone having a meeting in the air. The closest I can imagine is a travel in a corporate or military carrier or a space station. The meetings in these mentioned examples are seriously limited in time, space and number. Besides they are man designed and have flaws. The plane in the air depends on the human air controller for safety. The space station meeting is within the capsule and little freedom to walk around in space, not to talk of having a meeting. In both instances the numbers of people involved are few and mobility of the members is restricted. Remember they are within the plane not outside in the free atmosphere. This is called human arranged meetings in the air. Climatic conditions affect these supposed air meetings of man, (Obadiah 1:4).

The real meeting in the air is not programmed from the earth in a control station, but from heaven (it is a promise made in John 14:13 by the host). The space is not limited; it is the whole space between earth and heaven. This meeting involves millions of people. This is taking place in the free air of the heavens. The outfit here is heavenly not military or suited participant or astronauts wears. In this meeting all outfits are the same, heavenly made. This meeting is unusual and great. This meeting involves many participants, from the time of Adam and Eve to you and may be your children, grandchildren and great grand children. All who accepted Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord are invited to this meeting (1st Thess. 4:13-18). Can you imagine any good reason why you must not be in this meeting in the air? It is a meeting that the person who gave the invitation had been preparing for over two thousand years.  What a meeting that will be. Is it a stand up meeting or seated; but who cares as long as one is present for the meeting. This is one appointment you do not want to miss besides it is a onetime only meeting.

This meeting has very important witnesses who work for the Host. These witnesses are angels. They are faithful in what they do. This meeting requires the same quality of faithfulness. If you look out into the sky you can imagine and see where the meeting is going to take place, for those who are looking forward for it (Hebrews 9:28). When the meeting occurs it is extended into the marriage of the bridegroom and the bride. This meeting was promised in John 14:1-3 by the Host and has been on it for about two thousand year while waiting for the invitees to be ready. Are you ready for this meeting?

This meeting involves the dead and the living as described in 1st Thess. 4:13-18. The Lord will call with a shout and the dead in Christ will rise first, (can you imagine the population that has passed away since Adam till now). Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Again imagine the population of the world today and how many Christians are faithful to be invited for the meeting in the air beyond the clouds. Jesus the Christ of God gave the promise and will not fail. He promised that heaven and earth will pass away but not his word. That is why you can count on his promise of coming for us when he is ready.  Dead or alive if you were not saved and unfaithful till the end, you are not likely to be at the meeting. The only time you can examine yourself if you are in the faith is now (2nd Corinthians 13:5). If you die without making sure of this, you have yourself to blame. This is the time to be sure, it is today.

The conditions for partaking in this meeting include:

  1. Salvation: ye must be born again of water and the Spirit, John 3:5
  2. Baptism: he who believes and is baptized shall be saved, Mark 16:15-16
  3. Witness: ye shall be my witnesses after the Holy Ghost is come upon you, Acts 1:8
  4. Fasting (Mark 9:29, 1st Corinthians 7:5), giving (Luke 6:38), praising (Psalms 113:3) and prayer(1st Thessalonians 5:16-23), are necessary new life steps you must take continuously
  5. Fellowship: you need to find a place of real fellowship with people of God, not commercial mills called churches today. These fellowships must constantly preach about and confront sin, holiness and purity, salvation, baptism of the Holy Spirit, deliverance, persecutions, the translation, the great tribulation, hell and the lake of fire, Armageddon, the antichrist, the false prophet, Satan, the former and latter rains, Babylon, millennium, the white throne, the new heaven and new earth, the new Jerusalem from God out of heaven, the names in the lamb’s book of life and who Jesus Christ really is and the God head. You need to dwell in these for a fellowship to be alive and committed to Jesus Christ. If not seek a better place.

Now you can be looking up to the meeting in the air. You must know who you are expected to meet in the air. You are not the center of attraction in this meeting Jesus Christ is the center of focus. All your commitments must focus of Jesus Christ, with no distractions. How are you preparing for this meeting? Match your preparation against Galatians 5: 22-23 and see how you are holding up in holiness and purity.

In scroll 233, paragraph 2, Brother Neal V. Frisby said, “Every Christian now should be careful and make every moment count for the Lord Jesus.” Also make your calling and election sure (2nd Peter 1:10-11). Make sure when the roll is called up yonder you are there.

Jesus said, “Let no your heart be troubled: ye believe in God believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am there ye shall be also.” This is the promise on which our invitation, for the meeting in the air, beyond the clouds, hangs on. The transportation plan for this meeting is found in 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1st Corinthians 15:51-58. Only the foreknown, predestined, called, justified will be glorified (Rom.8:25-30). The roll will be called when we arrive yonder beyond the skies as we bow before our Savior, Lord and God, Jesus Christ.
