THE GOD THAT CAN SPEAK TO THE HORNETS, HIS WEAPONS OF WARTHE GOD THAT CAN SPEAK TO THE HORNETS, HIS WEAPONS OF WAR

On the way in the wilderness as the children of Israel journeyed to the Promise Land God demanded of them faithfulness. For the past two thousand years approximately, the journey to the heavenly Promise Land started. Jesus Christ in Matt. 24:45-46 said, “Who then is the faithful and wise servant? (In relation to His return). All that are going on this journey must pass through the door of Salvation found only at the Cross of Calvary.  Jesus Christ said in John 10:9, “I am the door.” Now there is no person anywhere before or now or after that can make that claim, except Jesus Christ the Lord.

The children of Israel left Egypt for the Promise Land, but of all the adults who left, only Caleb and Joshua and many that were born in the wilderness made it to the Promise Land. Joshua and Caleb were men God found faithful in the Journey to the Promised Land. In Numbers 14:30 God said, “Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.” Also the Lord testified in verses 23- 24 saying, “Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it: But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and had followed me fully, him will I bring into the land where into he went; and his seed shall possess it.” This shows us that God counts on our faithfulness to act in many cases, and God has His personal testimony of you and all persons but especially true believers. You can learn from Caleb and Joshua from the stories in Numbers 13 and 14.

As the children of Israel were going through the wilderness to the land God promised them through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob they had to confront many enemies.  God gave them His word as written in Exodus 23: 20-21, Firstly, “Behold I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared, (Remember John 14:1-3, I go to prepare a place for you) Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.” Secondly, in verse 27 God said, “I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come; and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.”

Thirdly, I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.” Here we can see the Israelites, depending on the Lord for the battles. God only demanded faithfulness and obedience to fight their wars with a very powerful army; the hornets. God spoke to the hornets and they went into battle for the children of Israel. God spoke and the hornets and they went to war. What are these hornets you may ask? They are God weapon of war when obedience and faithfulness are present. God’s weapon of war is still available and God can still them to work for believers. Hornets have stings and venoms that destroy red blood cells, kidney failure and death can quickly occur. This is God’s biological weapon of war. The mighty God and terrible.

Study Deut.7:9-10, “Know therefore that the Lord thy God, He is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: He will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.” Verse18-21 states, “Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shall well remember what the Lord thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt. The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the Lord thy God brought thee out: so shall the Lord thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid. Moreover the Lord thy God will send the hornets among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed. Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the Lord thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.” The believer has the hornet as a weapon if and when needed.

You can see that God means business always, especially now that the moment of His return is close. He went to prepare a place for us and promised to come for you and I. He expects us to be faithful and obedient to His word and commandments. He promised to come for us, so you must have that expectation if you will be found worthy at His return; in an hour you think not. More over the Lord gave us another important understanding and extra weapon at this time of our battles on our way to glory land. And that is to always remember the testimonies of the Lord, as the Lord implied by the statement, “Remember what the Lord thy God did unto Pharaoh and unto all Egypt.” Ask yourself what is your Pharaoh and your own Egypt and deliverance testimonies? These are your own sources of trust and confidence in God, on our journey to heaven. Also remember Rev. 12:11, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

Be as faithful as Caleb and Joshua, they had a different spirit, that made them obey and love and be faithful to the Lord. They were led by the Spirit of God, they had the Spirit of God and the Spirit of God bore witness with their spirit that they were sons of God, (Rom. 8:16). In Joshua 24, Joshua reminded Israel about the hand of God upon them, saying in verse 12, “And I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; but not with thy sword, nor with thy bow.” You can see that God sent hornets to battle for His chosen Israel, same for us today.

Now as you expect the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ we need to remember the testimonies of the Lord. Hornets came to fight for the people of God; even Corona virus will work out for the good of our journey back to glory. It will wake the sleeping believer up in a way, because these are signs like in Egypt; our departure is near, we shall soon cross Jordan. According to Joshua 24:14, “Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt (the world); and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose ye this day whom ye will serve.” Time no longer is before us now.

The coming of the Lord is near, Salvation through Jesus Christ is the door to heaven or glory land. A land of peace and joy. No more sorrows and pains and death. Repent for you are a sinner and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Then get baptized in the Name of He who died for you; Jesus Christ the Lord. Ask for the baptism of the Holy Ghost (Luke 11:13). Then God can send HORNETS to fight for you and make His Angel and His Fear go before you. And your battle will be fought for you as you march in faith, faithfulness and obedience towards the translation to heaven. Also testify, evangelize, sharing about the goodness and soon coming of the Lord. Flee from idols. Little children keep yourselves from idols. Amen, (1st John 5:21). Sorrow may endure for the night, but surely joy shall come in the morning.
