The last time

The last timeMeditate about these things.

1st John 2:18, “ Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.” Yes we are in the last time. One of the signs of the last time is the appearance of many antichrists and their main weapon of deception is that they deny the master Jesus Christ of Nazareth who bought them and they teach others to do the same. Read 2nd Peter 2 :1. That is to say, they deny the deity of Jesus. However, the Bible was clear on this. It is written in 2nd John 1:7-8, “ For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.”

Please study, John 1:1-14 and you will understand that Jesus Christ is the God who came in the flesh. Also 1st John 5:20-21. Jesus is coming in this last time or hour called the midnight hour and he is calling us to watch so that he does not find us asleep when he suddenly arrives. It is written: “ And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.”, Matthew 25:6. Jesus said, “ Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.” Mark 13:31-36.

“… Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. ”, Ephesians 5:14. He who lives in pleasure is dead (that is, separated from God) while he lives, 1st Timothy 5:6. Study Ephesians 2:1-19. Let’s just list a few verses here. “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience … fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others … Wherefore remember, … that at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: but now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ …”

“For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed … Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof,” Romans 13:9-14.

May the Lord Jesus help us all. Amen!
