And the fifth angel with the trumpet sounded
After the midnight cry 12
Meditate about these things.
Rev. 9:6, “ And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.”
Rev. 9:1, “And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key to the bottomless pit.” He opened the bottomless pit and smoke came out of it darkening the sun and the air. Out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth. Imagine the whole earth being covered with locusts. These locusts were strange, for they were given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
The typical locust is like grasshoppers that feed on green leaves and green grasses, but these locusts from the bottomless pit are different. Rev. 9:4, “These locusts were commanded that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, nor any tree; but only those men which do not have the seal of God in their foreheads, (Rev. 7:3).” Only the 144 thousand of the twelve tribes of Israel are protected. No Gentile can lay claim on this protection, because the blood of atonement is gone with grace, in the translation. If you do not plan and pray and believe in making the translation, you will be faced with the situation, where in judgment you are not protected, with the seal of God in your forehead. Because you are not a Jew and you were left behind. Some plan to be left behind, without considering the consequences.
Rev. 9: 5, “And to them it was given that they should kill them, but that they should be tormented for five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.” Men will desire death and death will flee away. No room for the dead. The living will surely envy the dead when this judgment lasts for five months. Imagine the sting of a scorpion on you continuously or intermittently for five months. Today is when you should consider your ways and repent of your sins and run to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior before the door is shut against you at the moment of the soon to happen translation.
Study Rev. 9:7-12, and see the type of locusts that will wait for men in the trumpet judgment. These are not ordinary locusts, they have hair as women, faces of men, their shapes are as horses ready for battle, they have as if they were crowns of gold on their heads, and their teeth as the teeth of lions. They had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men for five months.
They had a king of them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue has his name as Apollyon. One woe is past; and behold, there come two woes more hereafter. The choice belongs to all on earth today.
