And the angel with the seventh trumpet soundedMeditate about these things.

Rev. 11:15, “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever.”

And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshiped God, (What a sight to behold for John and all true believers for now can only imagine; but soon we shall be before the presence of God and behold his majesty). These elders in heaven were saying, “We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned,” (Rev. 11:17). Let us examine this verse of scripture for a moment. The person here that the four and twenty elders fell before was referred to as Lord God Almighty. There are no three Gods. There is only one Lord God Almighty, (Deut. 6:4-9; Isaiah 44:6-8). This God was identified by the four and twenty elders that sat before Him. They referred to as “which art, and wast, and art to come.” This is none other but the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ is God. Remember Rev. 1:18, “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore; Rev. 2:8; Also the four beast before the throne said, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.” No doubt the person being referred to here as, which was and is and is to come is no one else but the Creator, The Lord Jesus Christ. There are no three gods. Here the Lord had taken his power, and hast reigned.

The bride was already gone to heaven and many were still in the graves. The nation started to see and witness the first step in God’s judgment called the Trumpet judgments and yet the vials judgments were yet to come. The nations of those left on earth were angry, and his wrath had come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and time for the Lord to give reward unto his servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Rev. 11:19, “And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament; and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.” This will be a sight of great display of God’s power. Confirming to John that this was serious and would surely come to pass. God is not man that He should lie, (Numbers 23:19). Watch and pray that you are accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man, (Luke 21:36). Escape for your life.
