Immortality is or implies a never ending existence, regardless of whether or not the body dies. It is the quality of being able to live or last forever. Biblically immortality is a state or condition free from both death and decay. Let it be crystal clear that only God by nature from the originality of all things is and has immortality. Immortality is the same as eternal life. There is only one source of eternal life or immortality; and that is Jesus the Christ.

John 1:1-2, 14; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.

John 11:25-26; Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

John 3:12-13, 16; If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
