The end of Babylon (commercial) – part four
After the midnight cry 32
Meditate about these things.
Rev. 18:20, “Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.” And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. (This city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. The judgment of God shall bring Babylon to total desolation; and it shall be no more).
Verse 22-23, And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee: and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
Verse 24, states, “And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.” In her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and all that were slain upon the earth. You may wonder, but the other name for Babylon may be called death. Remember, Rev.17:5-6, “And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH, I saw the woman drunken with the blood of saints, and with the blood of martyrs of Jesus, and when I saw her I wondered with great admiration.” Now it makes more sense when the word of God said, in her was found the blood of prophets, saints, and all that were slain upon the earth. Verse 18 states, “And the woman (the whore) which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” Part of the mystery of Babylon is that it is both religious and commercial in operation. Verse 21 reads, “And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great milestone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.” Verse 23, “And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for the merchants were the great men of the earth: for by her sorceries were all nations deceived.” Babylon even today, and more so after the translation will deceive many through sorceries. One needs to know that sorcery involves the act of using spells, divination, or speaking to spirits, and for sure it is an abomination in the scriptures. It is an attempt to circumvent God’s knowledge and sovereignty. It is a deliberate effort to worship Satan instead of God. Remember 2nd Chronicles 33:6; Galatians 5:19-21, lists sorcery as one of many sinful practices that mark the lives of unbelievers. Examine Isaiah 47:12-15. They shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them. Stand now with thine enchantment and with the multitude of thy sorceries, let the astrologers, necromancers, familiar spirits agents, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up and save thee, for these things shall come upon those who reject the gospel of Christ, or take the words of the prophecies of the bible for granted. It is getting late to escape Babylon.
