The second Translated saint

midnight cry weeklyWeek 04

“If thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto the; but if not, it shall not be so,” said Elijah the Tishbite, the prophet of God, to his servant Elisha, (2nd Kings 2:10). So it was that when the bridegroom came at midnight, those that were ready saw him, while others went to buy oil. The ready ones had their hearts desire, to see the bridegroom when he arrived and went in with him and the door was shut, (Matt 25:10). Events casting their shadow before.

2nd Kings 1:1-18, Elijah called down fire from heaven on the soldiers of fifty, twice, who came to escort him to the king; and the third captain of fifty came down on his knees, asking for mercy.

The Lord told him to go with the captain and fear nothing. Around translation time the angel of the Lord will be with the elect and wonders will flow. Elijah declared the word of the Lord directly to the king, with translation boldness; his chariot from heaven was on the way. He told the king in verse 16, Because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore you sent to inquire from Baal-zebub the god of Ekron: therefore thou shalt not come off that bed on which thou art gone, but shall surely die. And so he died according to the word of the Lord which Elijah had spoken. God means business, especially in this Translation season; be ye absolutely ready.

Elijah told Elisha his servant to wait in some cities, for the Lord had sent him on some errand. But Elisha replied, “As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee.” This he answered each time Elijah used that excuse on him. Testing him out, because Elisha and even the sons of the prophet knew Elijah was going to be taken that day, though they did not believe it in their heart; but Elisha did. They got to Jordan and Elijah struck the water of Jordan with his mantle and it parted so that they both crossed on dry land.

Suddenly, after crossing Elijah told Elisha to ask anything before I am taken from you. He asked for a double portion of the spirit upon Elijah. Elijah said it is a hard thing you have asked, nevertheless, if you see when I am taken (translated) you will have it, if not it shall not be so.

And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. Elisha saw it and cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more. Elijah was translated alive into heaven, and is still alive like Enoch. Be ye ready for you know not when the chariot will suddenly come; any moment now.

James 5:17-18, “Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.” We need to draw near to God like he did and experience the same manifestations. Remember, Jesus said, in John 14:12, “And greater works than these shall he do: because I go unto my Father.
