Enoch and the Elijah saints are coming
In this message, the discussion will center on the characteristics of a group of believers; that share a common bond. They aspire to participate in the translation or rapture as is commonly known. The rapture involves catching away people to meet the Lord in the air. Two groups are involved: those that rise from the dead at rapture time and those that are alive and translated to meet with the risen dead and the Lord in the air. Remember 1st Thess. 4:14, “—Even so, them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.”
Enoch and the Elijah saints
This group, will not: Taste of death, like Enoch and Elijah. Death is the last enemy to be overcome, and will have no power over these people. They are the apple of God’s eyes. They will bear his name, love him, worship him and show forth his praise. They will be changed in a twinkling of an eye, put on the glorious garment of light and will overcome gravity. Are you hopeful you belong to this group of saints?
Enoch and Elijah saints are a group of people like no other; according to 1st Peter 1:9-10, they are “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, and they need to show forth the praises of him who hath called them out of darkness into his marvelous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” These two men were a true representation of the true believers in God, the Lord Jesus Christ. They represent both the qualities and expectations of all true believers, all through the ages of mankind. These two men had direct contact with God and lived remarkable lives that need examining, to help us understand them. Before the coming translation there will be a quick short work by the Lord through faithful believers. This work is on now secretly and will intensify as our departure nears and the dead rise, work and walk with us who are alive. Be ye ready.
Enoch was the first man to be translated. He was the son of Jared and also the father of the oldest man who ever lived, Methuselah. Men used to live for over 900 years at the time, but in Gen. 5:23-24, it reads “and Enoch lived three hundred sixty and five years; he walked with God and he was not: for God took him.” Heb. 11:5, states, “by faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found because God had translated him for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” Also in Jude: 14-15, the bible records, “and Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” Enoch was a young man compared to those of his generation and he loved the Lord, and the Lord dearly loved him. This is the best time for the youths to serve and walk with the Lord, that they may have the same testimony with Enoch. The testimony is clear, Enoch walked and pleased God.
Only God knows how Enoch served and believed in him. The bible kept this a secret. We do not know how he praised, prayed, gave and witnessed to and for the Lord. Whatever he did, he pleased the Lord so much that the Lord took him, to be with him and to end his stay on earth. That was the first time God ever took out a living man out of this world that he should not taste of death. (Remember the law of the first mention). God the creator, the master designer knew there was a translation in his program, he showed it in Enoch, confirmed it in Elijah, publicly displayed in Jesus the Christ and promised it to the elect.
Enoch we learned, from Jude, did prophesy about the coming of the Lord with ten thousands of his saints to execute judgment. There is no other book of the bible that made any reference to this prophecy before this. There are only two ways Jude must have come up with this testimony of Enoch; (a) first he had a revelation from God and may be Enoch spoke to him or (b) Jesus Christ Our Lord may have revealed it to him after the resurrection; when the Lord spent time on earth before the ascension. Whatever way, the bible has it and I believe it. Enoch was involved with prophecy, and he was the father of Methuselah; he named him Methuselah, which meant Enoch knew of the flood that destroyed the world of Noah. Methuselah meant the year of the flood; that fulfilled in the day of Noah. The big and old pyramid in Egypt contained Enoch’s name; so Enoch must have had connection to that structure that survived the flood. So the pyramid must have been built before the flood.
What a promise to the believers:
The Lord translated Enoch, the Lord translated Elijah, and in John 14:3 the Lord promised saying “and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also.” This promise is to the sons of thunder, the elect, the Elijah and Enoch saints, the bride of Christ. These saints, have a secret walk with the Lord. Unknown to the world like Enoch, and there will be a display of wonders, as stated in 1st Cor. 15:51-54, “in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye—- mortal shall put on immortality.” 1st Thess. 4:15-18 states, “the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump and of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” The Lord promised and will fulfill to those who believe and are expectant.
Elijah the Tishbite did not have a family history that we are able to refer to; but we know he was a prophet from God. He did miracles; shut the windows of heaven to bring drought and famine 1st Kings 17:1. He prayed three and half years later and there was rain. He had a show down with the false prophets of Baal. He had a confrontation with them; that ended with Elijah calling fire from heaven to consume his sacrifice to God. He slaughtered the four hundred false prophets. He called down fire two more times on his detractors. He raised a child from the dead, ( Law of first mention), 1st Kings 17:17-24. Elijah smote the river Jordan with his mantle and they passed through the river on dry ground. And after they crossed Jordan, 2nd Kings 2:4-11, the supernatural occurred as stated in verse 11, “and it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” Enoch’s departure to heaven is still a secret but that of Elijah was a celestial display witnessed by Elisha. Both combined gives you a feel of what the Enoch and Elijah saints will experience; it will involve secrecy and a display called the translation.
The requirements for these kinds of saints:
To be an Enoch and Elijah saint is a personal responsibility. Enoch did not take any body along with him to heaven. Elijah was separated from Elisha and went alone. You and I cannot take any one along; it is an individual journey and we shall all meet in the air, all that are accounted worthy. First, you have to know that there is a God, who created you and all that exists in the universe. You may claim that you know him as many people do, but do you have a personal relationship with him, as your Lord and savior? These two men knew that sin must be judged, purity and holiness were a requirement for a relationship with the Lord. While it is called today, God still forgives sin by the blood of Jesus Christ, as atoned on the cross of Calvary. To belong to this company, Jesus Christ must be Lord of your life; you must confess your sins; repent and be converted. Be baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost; then are you ready to work with the Lord. Read your bible, pray, praise, give, witness, fast, and be full of expectations; because the Lord said, in Hab. 2:3, “the vision is for an appointed time—though it tarry wait for it, for it will sure come it will not tarry.”
Be ye ready, it will come suddenly, only the ready and committed to the Lord will be translated. To the unprepared it will come as a snare. Behold I will come as a thief in the night, it will be a total secret like the time of Enoch but it will be also a burst of power like the time of Elijah. Wonders will happen when the Lord calls us up in the translation; when gravity will have no more dominion over the saints. The clouds will be covered with a sea of saints meeting the Lord in the air. The Enoch and Elijah saints are on the way; like these two men have been with the Lord in heaven alive, so will we soon be with the Lord. We shall all be changed in a twinkling of an eye, to be with the Lord, and so shall we ever be with the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls. Be ye ready and expectant; it may be sooner than you think.
