He said now I see

There was a man born blind according to John 9: 1-41. People had different opinions about him. Some thought the parents were evil and must have sinned against God. Others thought the man had sinned but remember he was born blind:  Only a helpless, sinless baby, except for the sin of Adam. In John 9:3 Jesus Christ said, “Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” God has a purpose in everyone’s life. Therefore it is important to think properly before passing judgment on any person or circumstance. This child born blind had lived for several years and had become a man. Imagine the life of any person born blind in those days. They had no advantage of science, technology and education for the blind like today. This man had no chance to succeed in life. Could not go to school, farm, work, keep a family or be helpful in any meaningful way; most people thought of him this way. But God had a plan for his life and predestined to meet him on earth.
Let us read the testimony of this man’s neighbor’s and those who knew him. John 9:8 states, “the neighbors therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, is not this he that sat and begged?” The best a person born blind could do at that time was to beg for a living. This changed when he met Jesus the Christ. When a person comes to Jesus the Christ something may happen, but when Jesus the Christ comes to a person something always happens. As Jesus was passing by, he saw this man that was born blind and his disciples asked him who was to be blamed for it? The blind man never saw Jesus coming, but Jesus stopped to see him. Jesus came to him out of compassion and foreknowledge that God should be made manifest in him, as Jesus already told his disciples.

The blind man did not ask Jesus for anything, did not even utter a word. Remember Matt 6:8, “for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of; before ye ask him.” This man, born blind from birth and was a beggar, represented the lowest a man could be in the eyes of men. But nobody knew his thoughts and prayers. Only God knows the heart and needs of everyone including the man born blind. How much the blind man must have desired to see his family, things around him and desire to be like other normal people? Put yourself in his shoes and imagine what his daily life would be like. All these changed when his prayers and days of, perhaps asking the question why me, met God in the flesh.

According to John 9:5 Jesus said, “as long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” He said this because he was going to give light to the man born blind. Faith without work is dead; and Jesus the Christ was ready to help the blind man activate his faith, so he put him to work. Certain times we ask God for something, we may wait for years without visible answers but God heard. He will answer at his own time, we may go through difficult times like blindness or poverty, but he knows about it all. Which is a better choice, blindness, poverty or both combined like this man born blind? Whatever is your answer, Jesus Christ is the solution. Pray to be in his purpose for your life always. Jesus Christ said, “Neither hath this man.”
Jesus Christ spat on the ground, made clay of the spittle, and anointed the eyes of the blind man with clay, and said unto him, “Go wash in the pool of Siloam.” This blind man did not question the person

Talking to him but went and did what he was told. He went to the pool you may say, but think about the involvement for a moment. Where is the pool of Siloam in your life? The blind man had to find the pool. He was not sure the outcome, or what to expect for a man who had never seen the light or anything for that matter. These days the Holy Ghost speaks to us in the same voice the blind man heard and obeyed. The problem with people today is unwillingness to obey the same voice because they think they see and are not blind.
The bible states the blind man came back seeing. His neighbors and those who knew him to be blind said, “Is not this he that sat and begged?” He was born blind and begged for alms to survive. He never saw the light, never knew color but darkness. The Pharisees questioned him about his healing. He answered and said that, “a man called Jesus made clay and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and received my sight.” They tried to convince him that Jesus Christ was not of God. But he said he is a prophet. They continued to tell him that Jesus was sinner. Sometimes the devil and the world put pressure on the children of God to make them doubt the Lord, get confused or honor men. Some people will receive miracles from God but the devil will come out boldly to speak against both the Lord and the miracles we have received.

In John9:25, the man born blind responded to his critics by saying, “whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, Now I see.” The healed man held to his testimony. He caught the revelation. He said he is a prophet. He said in John 9:31-33, “Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshiper of God, and doeth his will, him he hearth. Since the world began was it ever heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.” The Pharisees cast him out. Jesus Christ heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said who is he, Lord that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, ‘thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with you.’ The man that was born blind said to Jesus, ‘Lord I believe.’ and he worshipped him.
This was the salvation of a man born blind. He neither sinned nor did his parents, but that the work of God should be made manifest. In this life we cannot judge certain things we come across; because we do not know when they are to manifest the works of God. Beware of religion and religious people (the Pharisees) they do not always see eye to eye with the ways of the Lord. Learn to trust and hold to every testimony that the Lord gives to you; like the man born blind. He said, “I was blind but now I see.”

Remember Rev. 12:11, “And they overcame him (satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Make your calling and election sure. And the man that was born blind said, “I was blind but now I see.” Stand on your testimony with the Lord.
