Joyful Praises

Neal Frisby’s Sermon CD#1868 2-27-83 (PM)
Praise the Lord! Thank you. Lord bless you. Do you really feel Jesus tonight? All right, we are going to pray, and I am going to ask Him to bless you, and I believe He is going to bless each and every one of you. Amen? I notice this coat is kind of red tonight, and I wish all your hearts to just get on fire from God like this. Amen? Coals of fire. Lord bless your people. Jesus, we believe in our heart that you’re going to move here tonight, and I believe that you are going to touch the people. Heal them, give a miracle, Lord. Touch those seeking salvation, revealing thy light to their heart. Sometimes it’s new to them, and they do not understand, but it’s as simple as a child, Lord, by accepting you and witnessing in the heart to your power and confessing, they have the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. Touch their hearts tonight. Guide your people, Lord, and make a way for them. If they need a job or whatever they need in their life, Lord, family problem, you are the great healer. Amen. You can unite families, Lord, and bring them together. Touch them tonight. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Give the Lord a hand clap! Thank you, Jesus.
All right. You go ahead and be seated. Now, we televised this morning, we won’t tonight. Now, sometimes people get here after the revival is over with, and we’ve been having a lot of that going on this week. We’ve just finished, I think it was five services, four straight nights. We prayed for the sick, and every night we’ve seen miracles, and we always do when people believe the Lord moves through the power of the Holy Spirit. And tonight, I will let the Lord lead me. I don’t know what I will do tonight about praying for the sick, because we just finished about four straight nights in a row, but if He moves on me, I will pray, and you can be healed right in your seat. Do you realize that? But it makes no difference, I move according to how the Lord leads me, and I believe He will bless. You know, this morning, I had another little sheet of paper. I didn’t quite get it all in, and sometimes I am coming back when it reveals who the Lord Jesus is, and you know, the bible said He is the desire of all nations. He is the Bishop of souls. He is the friend of sinners, amen, and all of that goes on in the Scriptures. Now, the bible said that He loved the world, see, but if you love Him, you have to give your heart to Him. Someday, it will all turn to judgment. Now is your time, and if you are new here tonight, just jump right in. If you need a miracle, begin to expect in your heart. You can’t expect a miracle unless you expect yourself, and I know that some people come once in a while, you know, and it’s a trick of the devil. It’s a trick of human nature, too. They say, “Well, if I get healed, okay, and well, if I don’t, it’s okay.” You will never get healed that way. You got to be positive. You got to make a stand for the Lord in your heart that it is yours, and it is yours. It is the will of God to heal everybody, the same as it is to save them according to the scriptures. Now, we are going to read some Scriptures to build your faith up tonight and to bless you. How many of you saw the program this morning? How many of you are enjoying those programs on TV? Well, Lord bless your heart.
Now, Joyful Praises. You listen real close, and we will build your faith up that you can be healed right where you are sitting or passing through or down here in front when we rally. All right, are you ready tonight? All right, we will fix it to where you can believe and in such a way that your heart will just leap out, and you can get it by your own faith, He will bless your heart. So, joyful praises to the Lord. Praise heals, and it gives victory. Now, just before I come over, I wrote this real quick out of my mind. Now, praise coupled with faith is a thunder of God. Jesus is a wheel within a wheel of power to His people. Now, see what it sets up? It sets up faith as a substance, the bible says. It says it’s the evidence of things not seen yet, but praise will bring it into being. It will bring the invisible into the visible. See, faith is the evidence of things not seen. It is a substance. Each one of you has that measure or that substance in your heart. It is up to you to begin to expect and to allow it to begin to work. You act upon what little faith you have, and because you act upon your faith with praise and thanksgiving to the Lord, that faith begins to grow. It’s like a light. It becomes brighter the more that you work with it and the more that you praise the Lord. So, we find out that it will make the invisible into visible, and God manifests in the praise of His people. Now, the Lord, the bible said lives and manifests Himself in the praises of His people, and there is a way that He works. In the praises of Israel shall He live. In the praises of a Gentile elect shall He live. It’s in the praises that create an atmosphere.
You are very thankful in your heart, halfway, your faith is already working there, and the power of God begins to go into action. But people, you know, are so hard in the heart, they can’t give God thanksgiving in the heart. They do not praise the Lord in the heart, and then it’s very hard for them to reach out. Praise begins to break up the hard heart. Praise begins to cause the joy to come, you will be able to believe and grasp the truth of the Lord. Do you believe that tonight? All right, we are setting it up so that you can receive from the Lord, bringing the invisible into visibility that you have from the Lord. For the call to repentance Mark 2:17, “When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of a physician.” That’s exactly right. “But they that are sick,” and He is our great healer, our great physician, not man, but the Lord Jesus. They that are sick need one. “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Therefore, He calls the sinners to repentance, and not only did He save their soul, but He heals their bodies. By whose stripes ye were healed. Isn’t that wonderful? It’s just great. Now, for salvation by faith in Jesus, Acts 16:31, “And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” And not only that, but He will also work among your household and bring many of those in, “and thy household.”
Now, for taking the sting out of death, all of this praising the Lord, do you know David praised the Lord, Paul praised the Lord, all the apostles praised the Lord? Paul finally gives us the key to it. Here is what he said about praising the Lord and being very thankful to the Lord. He said, in all things be thankful to the Lord, and praise the Lord with all of your heart. Now, it will take out the sting of death. Amen. 1st Corinthians 15: 55-57, “O death, where is thy sting?” Have you got faith in your heart? Faith, by praising the Lord, and the power of faith, will take that sting out of there, because it’s the Lord. It says, “O grave, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law, but thanks be to God. See that? “Thanks be to God.” That’s a praise. Thanks be to God, which giveth us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Where is the victory? Even our faith, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and by victory, and by faith. You may be oppressed, but it will have to break. You may have pain in your body, but it will have to go. You may be dying of cancer, but those roots have got to give away. When He touched the fig tree, He said, look, he was teaching the disciples about faith. Sometimes the miracle takes place, and they can’t even see it yet, but yet right in the roots it takes place. Other times it’s spectacular. It’s an exploit in front of their eyes, and they begin to see it like the creation of the bread. When the Lord broke just a few, few loaves of bread, and when He did, He began to pass them out. First thing you know, He fed 5,000 people, practically out of nothing. It began to multiply in front of their eyes, and it was a miracle, and many more miracles they saw with their eyes, but sometimes they don’t see it right away.
It begins a miracle, but it’s a process, and He comes by the fig tree. He said, “Oh, look at the fig tree.” He was teaching them about faith, and He cursed the fig tree in the roots. See, it was like Israel. Lo, all these years He came by, but they didn’t listen to Him. It’s probably towards the close of His ministry, and it was symbolic. He cursed the roots of that fig tree, and they didn’t see anything. They looked at it, and it still looked like it was standing. The leaves were still green; they were still on it. He said, “Well, bear no more figs from then on, any at all,” and they walked away. The next day, He knew they’d notice it. He took them right back around and came back by the tree, and when they came back by the tree, they looked, and the tree lo, had died away, and the roots were all dead, and the tree was dried up. Now, there is a process of faith. You may have cancer in your body, or a growth. You may be troubled about a growth, or a cancer, and this is a good case that Jesus, by using nature, will show you. You begin to believe in your heart that those roots are dying, that satan’s got a hold of you, and your bloodstream are in your body, and you believe that those roots are dying, and when those roots die, then that will give up that death, and it will pass on out or just disappear. Isn’t that wonderful? Sometimes people lose their healing because they expect it right now, and of course, we see that about 90 or 80 percent of the miracles that happen on the platform are instantaneous miracles. But many leave here looking like nothing happened, and we see later they either phone it in or call in that God healed me, and took a day or two, but the rest of the miracles happen instantly. And so if you’ve got a disease in your body, don’t do it like some people. You know they are prayed for, and they kind of feel the power of God, but then they say they can still kind of feel that something’s in their body. Sometimes it occurs that way; it doesn’t just disappear, an exploit. If they continue to believe that the roots are dead, and that it will disappear like the tree, it will be gone in a few days completely out of their body, and they have received a miracle. Howbeit through a process of healing from God. There are gifts of healing, and there are gifts of miracles, the bible said, one through a process sometime, and the gift of miracles is suddenly through an exploit.
So, sometimes when you are praying for, or praying yourself, don’t think He hasn’t done anything. I say this, every time you pray, and you have faith in your heart, everyone that asketh, receiveth, the bible, said, but you must believe it. And when you pray, you automatically begin to receive, but between you and what the devil tells you, you push it back out. In other words, you dig it back up. Many times, many cases in California, not here, and all over the United States, we travel, people are prayed to pass their cancer, and it would die in the roots, it would go away. Sometimes they’d have it in the throat, God would just take it out instantaneously by a miracle, tumors just disappeared. And so there is a process besides instantaneous miracles, there is a process. And no matter when you pray in your heart and believe, it doesn’t make any difference what’s going to happen in a day or two, you believe in your heart, it will take place, but you must believe it in your heart. So we find out that faith is the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, for He is the only way of salvation. In John 3:3 Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Some people, they come, you know, and you are preaching about miracles, they’ve had failures, been prayed for before, missed, probably not taught exactly right, or because of failures, they just kind of give up, you know. It’s hard for them to reach on and believe the Lord, but in these services, if they will stay long enough, that power is so powerful. It comes upon the people because of the Word of God, and minister to the people, they can’t help but to receive from the Lord. There is no way out of it. If you just touch it a little bit, you will be able to, but you know what happens? You get those kinds of people, and they have doubt in them, and they get away from that light. That’s satan, he moves them away before they get healed. They get tricked up, and they go hunting here and there, they don’t stay sometimes long enough to even get in a prayer line. They are continually searching, but they haven’t believed yet. Can you say amen? Of course, that’s their business. They can go where they want to. God keeps me busy anyway, amen? But the fact is this, we are teaching faith, and it is yours, and you have that measure of faith, and you put it into action.
And so, except you are born again, you cannot see the kingdom of God. Now even Israel looked and had seen the kingdom of God. We know it’s the glory of the Lord, and He revealed it to His disciples. Actually He is talking about two different things here, that if a man is not converted, he cannot understand all about the kingdom of God. Once you are converted, in your heart, you will begin to see how the bible works, and how the acts of the Holy Spirit work. Let me read what is associated with this that He gave me tonight. It says this in 1 Corinthians chapter 2:14, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God.” He cannot get it that way. The natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him. It goes as far to say it’s just foolishness to them. That’s a fact. Neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned by the power of the Holy Spirit within a person. You believe that? So it says here, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God, or how that the Lord moves upon the hearts. Listen to this in a moment here. Now watch, Mark 9:23, we finally found a place where we used “if.” We have a scripture here where Jesus used “if.” So many miracles, so much taking place, and yet it was used right here. Listen to this in Mark 9 :23, “Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe…” if thou canst believe. How many of you believe? “If thou canst believe.” Some people want miracles, but they don’t want to believe in the Lord. They want the Lord to show them first. The Bible said that’s just the opposite of faith, that’s like as if it’s all over with, you don’t need no faith for that. Faith believes that things will come into being before they see them, and they believe that the invisible is made visible by the power of faith, for it is the evidence in your heart of things not seen yet. But to you in your heart, you see those roots dying away, or that growth.
People are suffering, somebody in here tonight, the growth will go from you, it will just disappear. Evidently, this sermon will just root it up and throw it out. Can you say amen? It is that simple tonight, and you believe it, and faith in your heart sees the disease, it shouldn’t, it couldn’t, didn’t necessarily have to be that. I can tell there’s a little unbelief in here, it doesn’t necessarily have to be that. But any kind of disease that gets a grip on you, it could be your heart, could be your stomach, it could be anywhere, you visualize in your mind that that’s disappearing, and in your heart, and it will be manifested to you and you will be every whit whole. Now Jesus said this, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth, if thou canst only believe. So it is in believing in the heart, and you don’t have to see it, but you must believe in your heart. I’ve had people, and you have too, you sit in the audience here. You’ve watched eight or ten people, deaf ears unstopped, people couldn’t move their arms, pains disappear, tumors go, and then you will run into one of them, you know, and they will start saying, “I got all kinds of….” Have you ever heard of that? How many of you ever hear that? Sure you do. Miracles all around them, but you see, they see all of those miracles, and that still didn’t help them any. Some people do it. They see miracles, and it encourages their faith, but it doesn’t do it to everyone. I’ve seen people, they will see miracles, and they will see the power of God healing people that they even know, but yet they come up there, and it doesn’t do anything for them, because they don’t believe themselves in their heart enough that it is set free. Amen? I’ve watched that.
Sometimes you have maybe 20, I’ve seen 20 or 30 miracles that the Lord would perform, and sure as anything, I’ve had people that’s paralyzed, they don’t even move their neck or body healed by the power of God. Some things just disappear, and they scream, you know, and you go about 10 or 15 people, and somebody says, “I got all kinds of faith, I got all kinds of faith in the world,” but they don’t get healed. Faith is more than talk, isn’t it? But it’s by hearing the Word of God, and its acting, and it’s alright if you say that you’ve got faith, that’s fine, but it’s better to be healed, and it’s better to prove your faith by believing God. How many of you believe that tonight? I have seen that so much in the ministry, you know, it is kind of different what has been happening all down the line, but it takes place from time to time, and I’ve seen those get a healing from God, but not as often as the one that just comes solely in the heart, and believe in the heart, the miracle is manifested. Then in their heart, they are looking forward to that miracle, and they know the Lord is there. So it’s if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And one of the scriptures in the bible says, they shall lay hands on the sick, and even the dead recover, if they fall dead in front of them. If it’s God’s will at that time, that person will come back. Do you realize that tonight?
All things are possible. You mean to tell me that at the proper time, if a man believed, that the Lord would pull out an asteroid and cast it in the sea? Yeah, He does for two prophets in the Great Tribulation, an asteroid comes out through prayer, one-third of all shipping yards are destroyed. Did you mean to believe a man said that it won’t rain anymore? It did for Elijah. Amen. And at the end of the age in chapter 11, you read it in Revelation, the prophet spoke and said, “There will be no more rain, Mr. Antichrist, no more at all.” Stood right before him and it didn’t rain, the bible said, for 42 months, there was no rain on the earth anywhere. People were marked because of the great scarcity of food and so forth that took place and that’s what promotes that Great Armageddon War. Part of it is starvation sets in, they come on to the land of Israel. Two major prophets, Revelation 11, it won’t rain for 42 months. Back in the days of Elijah the prophet, he came to the palace, he looked like he was from another world, the way he dressed at that time, rustic, just in a garb in the wilderness, living by himself, walked in the palace and he wanted to see Ahab. And the fellow [Obadiah] was scared that Elijah, “I can’t take you there,” he said, “because you just might just disappear, because we can’t ever find you, you just disappear.” See, God would hide him, pick him up or hide him or something, and he was scaredI if he’d go tell the king was there, if Elijah was gone, the king would get mad and destroy him possibly. But Elijah promised him, “No, no, no, said, I am going to see the king. So, he went in front of Ahab, he stood right in front of Ahab, and he told him it won’t rain for 42 months, there won’t even be any dew, not even any moisture in the air, by the Word of the Lord. All things are possible to him that believeth. Can you say amen? Man comes up in the bible to Elisha, the prophet, he wouldn’t even see him. He told him to get in the mud, eaten up with leprosy, told him to go seven times up and down the water to reenact his faith. He didn’t want to do it at first, but finally he was coaxed into the water, and he obeyed what the prophet had said, and the power of God just cleansed him. He was completely healed by a miracle from the Lord.
All things are possible if thou canst believe, saith the Lord. There it is, right there, and you can have whatsoever you saith in another place in the bible, and it says another place, “Speak the Word only”. These signs shall follow those that believe. So we know the signs are there. So, by praising the Lord, He lives in the atmosphere of praising Him. You begin to be very thankful, and you will receive more from the Lord. You begin to praise the Lord; you will find out that your life has some vitality. You will find out your body has more life to it, and you will have the vibration and energy of the Lord. Praising the Lord, and the power of faith is the thunder of God. Glory, Hallelujah! And the angels said, “Holy, holy, holy,” praise ye the Lord,” in front of the throne, and the bible said there was thunder and lightning. Amen. How many of you can see the revival coming? With the Word of God, He will not fail His people. So, we find out that the Lord is my strength; in Exodus 15: 2, the Lord is my strength, see, He is my all in all, and He is my song. Notice all of this, where Paul said he takes the sting of death, “Where is that victory? O grave, where is the sting of death?” Thanks be unto God, he said, and that’s for us today too, if we believe in our heart, thanks be to God, and everything is a praise. Now here’s a song involved with this, and you say, strength? Evidently you can receive strength, spiritual strength, evidently, physical strength. Now we know, you have to take in nutrition, so forth like that too, but you even get more strength, and he says song, where your strength is a song. Listen to it really well, Exodus 15:2, “The Lord is my strength, and He is my song.” So there is a song associated with strength, and as you know, Moses wrote the book of Exodus. I have a sermon coming later that I’d like to do for television, I will do it for TV. It’s about divine health, and about the miraculous power of God. Moses must have praised the Lord, because here he said he is my song. What I am going to bring out is that he said “song,” and we know that he must have sung unto the Lord, and praised the Lord, because Moses lived to be a hundred and twenty. His natural force was as strong as a young man, the bible said, and his eyes, he could see real sharp, and God had to order him up at that time, because his body hadn’t even deteriorated according to the scriptures (Deuteronomy 34:7). No wonder he was a hundred and twenty, he was still leading those people, and the bible said that his natural force had not even abated, that he was strong, and his eyes were not dim, like an eagle. That’s reaching out. That’s divine, and God, the Lord had a reason for that. You say, “Well, what was one of his secrets? Well he fasted too, and he sought the Lord, but here is a secret that he’s given us right here, at 120, leading the people as a strong man, still the bible says, “The Lord is my strength and my song.” There is where it comes from too, “and he has become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him a habitation, my Father’s God, and I will exalt him.” Isn’t that wonderful? The God of my Father, and I will exalt Him. How many of you believe that? He said, I am the God of Abraham, Jacob, and Isaac, and so forth like that. He is my song, there he is, 120, strength and power!
So what this is leading us to believe is, by praising the Lord, and believing in our heart, you get strength. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. So [being] involved in praising the Lord is the energy of the Holy Spirit, and the bible says He lives in the praises of His people. But again the Lord says this, that this is foolishness unto the natural man, but it is glorious to the spiritual man. If thou canst believe all things are possible to him that believe it. Think about that, think about what you want, and the desires in your heart. There’s a scripture here that says this, I just can’t run out of scriptures. I don’t even have to look for them, they are here. It said, “Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” Delight means to praise him, to thank him, and just to delight yourself in the Lord, and that’s in Psalms 37: 4-5. I really believe that tonight, all things are possible for him to believe in. Are you ready for your healing tonight? Can you feel the energy of the Holy Spirit? How many of you feel the power of God tonight in your heart? I want you to all stand to your feet. Now that’s a message to build your faith. If you were relaxed, and you drank that in, and you drank it into your heart, you are able to feel the presence of the Lord as He blesses you tonight.
What I am going to do tonight after preaching that message, instead of praying individually, I am going to allow you to pass through and put the anointing and pray for each of you. Some of you didn’t get to the crusade, and you have pains in your body, you can come right through here tonight. I want you to come on this site if you want to be prayed for the anointing, or salvation, or healing. If you need salvation, come on in here. If thou can believe, you have your salvation. All things are possible. You may have family problems; all things are possible. You may have a terminal disease; the bible said all things are possible. You may have mental problems; all things are possible. Believe in your heart, believe Him, and trust the Lord, and you will see what He will do for you tonight. We will get about 25 of them here tonight, and we will pray for them. Then we will have a rally down here in front, and I believe the Lord will touch your heart. How many of you feel good after that message tonight? God bless your heart. Are you ready? How many of you are ready in the audience out there? Get your heart ready? He will bless you! Come on down here in front. I am going to pray for every one of you over here.
PRAYER RALLY
People got touched by the Lord. We didn’t stop them like we do and talk to them. He kept leading me to the roots of cancer. I had several people come here, and they come here especially for people. One, I believe she said that a person died in another state with cancer, and they stopped and told me about that. And you see how the Lord knows some of their hearts here tonight, and they take hope, and they come here for other people. Sometimes those people have to believe, some themselves, you see, but take courage, He is moving here. How many of you felt that across this platform here? Amen. How many of you? Do you feel better in the audience tonight? Do you? God bless your heart. Sometimes it’s new to people, you get an audience, and they want to know more about the power of God, but it’s been a while since they’ve been to where it is really coming out, and when you preach, you can feel that you are getting through slowly. It’s kind of like walking through some kind of molasses. You know, you are moving though, and you are moving, and finally it just kept breaking in there. And some nights you have to put the force to it, and the power to it, and all of you new people, I believe you are blessed here tonight. If you received a card from me, giving you an invitation, you come back out here as much as possible, and you will see the hand of the Lord not only move in your life, but He will give you a blessing. We are at the end of the age, and it’s about time to find a good place. Man, get your feet in solid Rock, and begin to get happy. Amen?
Alright, now I am going to pray for you. God loves every one of you here tonight, and He will bless you if you listen to that message. Remember, all things are possible to those that believe in God. Always keep that in your heart, because sometimes when you run in a situation, you say, “I just don’t know, you know, how I am going to do that.” The bible said all things are possible. You just put it in your heart, that’s right, if thou can’t believe. And the bible said, you can have whatsoever you saith, and you can speak the word only. So remember that, when you run up against something hard, you just stay right with the Lord. You determine in your heart that you have that measure of faith. Don’t listen to your flesh, don’t listen to the devil, don’t listen to anybody I mean, and just keep your mind on the Word of God. And you believe no matter what problem, it may look dark, you may think you are in a bottomless pit nearly with depression, or darkness, or troubles. You stay right with the Lord, and you believe in your heart.
Now He is talking to a few of them here tonight, and He will just take and put you right up on that light, and He will take you out of any problem. How many of you believe it? Sometimes, you may run into it, you know, sometimes a little tough, it’s not good if you don’t have to fight a little bit in the problems or something that you have. So remember in your heart, you have the keys to the kingdom of God, and don’t blame the Lord if you don’t use those keys, because they will open up anything that you need. All right; I am ready! Are you ready tonight? All right, if you still want something from the Lord, get your hands in the air. I am going to pray one more time, and I will be back here Wednesday night. Come on! Get ready! Reach out! I am going to pray over you! Yeah, you are right on the monitor! All right! I see every one of you! Jesus! My! God! Jesus! He is really good!
