How will your end be on earth

How will your end be on earthHow will your end be on earth

Jesus Christ in Luke 21:33, said “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.” The words of Jesus Christ never fail, even from the beginning of creation. Numbers 23:19 states, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

A good understanding of Amos 3:6-8 will give one an understanding that God speaks and works through his prophets. Surely the Lord will do nothing, but he revealeth his secrets unto his servants the prophets, (the gift of prophecy does not make you a prophet). The lion hath roared, who will not fear? The Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

In John 1:29, John the Baptist said, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sins of the world.” In John 3;18, Jesus said, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Remember Jesus said, heaven and earth shall pass away but not my word.

God was with Moses leading the children of Israel through the wilderness. Like we see today everyone who is able to quote some scriptures, may be prophesy or witnessed some miracles through his prayers and is not careful he or she becomes puffed up and begins to assume some tiles and influence. This happened in the wilderness. The first was Aaron and Miriam who became jealous of Moses because of his Ethiopian wife. In Numbers 12:1-15, they said, “hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? Hath he not spoken also by us?” And the Lord heard it. The Lord spake suddenly calling the three siblings unto the tabernacle of the congregation. The Lord came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. In verse 6 the Lord said hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. Verse 7-8, My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. With him I will speak mouth to mouth, even apparently. And not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? The anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed. And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle;and, behold, Miriam became leprous. In verse 13 Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

In Numbers 16 we see the evil of rebellion, Korah, Dathan, and Abiram withstood Moses. In verse 3 they told Moses, “Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves. In verse 5 Moses replied, “Even tomorrow the Lord will shew who are his, and who is holy.” In verse 19 the glory of the Lord appeared unto all the congregation. Moses made intercession for the congregation when he saw that the Lord was going to judge. The Lord spoke unto Moses saying,  “Speak unto the congregation, saying, get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathn, and Abiram. In verse 26, Moses spake to the congregation, saying, “depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.” So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives and their sons, and their little children.

In verse 28-35, “And Moses said, “Hereby ye shall know that the Lord hath sent me to do all these works: for I have not done them of mine own mind. If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men: then the Lord hath not sent me. But if the Lord makes a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallows them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit: then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the Lord.

Verse 31-32,  states, “And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave (opened) asunder that was under them: And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. Verse 33, They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. Verse 34-35, And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, lest the earth swallow us up also. And there came out a fire from the Lord, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.

In 2nd Kings 2:11-12, And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder: and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more. That was how Elijah left the earth.

The question today is how will your end be on this earth? Elijah was carried to heaven in a chariot of fire and bid the earth goodbye. He went into a different dimension. Many true believers went through death to Paradise. They bid the earth goodbye in good faith. Others who do not believe in Jesus Christ or accept Him as Lord and Savior have gone to hell awaiting the lake of fire. They died and went through death to hell. Imagine that Korah, Dathan and Abiram and their families were swallowed up and are in the bottom of the earth dead also. See how different people left the earth. Are you a believer or an unbeliever and how do you expect to leave this earth? It could be anytime soon. Accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, through repentance and conversion is the only way your end on earth can end on a positive note. The alternative is  hell and the lake of fire for rejecting Him; remember John 3:16-19; also Mark 3:19 talks of eternal damnation.
