We are living in the last days when the Judas Iscariots’ spirit has filled the land. Betrayals and greed are at every corner. According to 2nd Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” Judas was in a place where he should have examined himself and to know how that Christ was in him. He was with Christ for three and one half years, with the other apostles and some disciples. The moment came for each one to examine themselves, and after Judas listened to the Lord for those years was given power with other apostles to go and evangelize and cast out demons and do miracles, the moment of trust came, and he sold the Lord. In Mark 14:10-11, Judas went to the chief priests to betray Jesus the Christ for money. Remember Judas said in Mark 14:45, “Master, master {(Lord, lord) you can imagine was he really calling Jesus his real Master and Lord or was he mocking the Lord; because at this time he was already possessed by another spirit, that of the devil} and kissed him.” Betrayal is the ultimate in wickedness. He called Master, master and kissed him; not in love but kissed him as a means of identifying the correct one; read verses 42-46, especially 44. Many people today, worse among the Pentecostals, who have received gifts of the Holy Spirit, involved in miracles but today are faced with the moment of trust like Judas. Judas could not be trusted, at a very crucial moment when Jesus was heading for the Cross of Calvary. Judas came to betray Jesus at an important junction; at the Garden of Gethsemane. This was where our Lord fought the battle for our eternity and to recover all that Adam lost and much more. This prime time was when and where the devil through Judas decided to betray God and collect money also. Now for those on earth this is the moment of truth again. The translation is to be the next big thing on earth and involves our Lord Jesus Christ and his bride; and this is also a moment of betrayal, as there comes a time of falling away from Jesus the truth, and this is the next moment of trust.
In early September, 2019 while traveling from a city call Ondo to Ibadan in Nigeria, at about 4:45pm, I heard a clear voice that said, “God is looking for young men and women He can trust.” It startled me and I pondered over it. As hours and days passed by, the Lord gave and expanded my understanding of the statement.
Enoch was a great man of God without a shadow of doubt. His testimony was that he pleased God; Genesis5:24 reads, “And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.” According to Hebrews 11:5, “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony that he pleased God.” The significance of Enoch is the trust God had in him. No one knows how he pleased God, but whatever he did to please God had faith to it, for the scripture says without faith it is impossible to please God, verse 6 of Hebrews 11. Enoch trusted God and God trusted him to let him in on the judgment that was coming on the world in Noah’s day. Remember Noah’s father was not yet born. God told him about giving his son the name Methuselah; which means the year of the flood. God trusted Enoch so much that he told him about the future of the world, that is the judgment of the flood of Noah. God so trusted Enoch that as a young man of three hundred and sixty five years, when men used to live over nine hundred years and others like Adam, Seth were still around; God translated him: because he had the testimony that he pleased the Lord. That is a young man that God could trust.
Noah was another man that God could trust. According to Genesis 6:8-9, “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations and Noah walked with God.” God reveals secrets to those he could trust. As you can see, to Noah, God revealed to him the coming judgment of the flood, which confirms the secret message of God to Enoch and settled in the name Methuselah. God trusted Noah for one hundred and twenty years as he believed and continued to build the ark on dry ground as directed. Noah never doubted God and the rain came and mankind was destroyed except him and his family. God wanted a man he could trust to repopulate and take care of God’s world, as recorded in Genesis 9:1. God had one more secret to give to a man he could trust. He told Noah about a rainbow for the first time, Genesis 9:11-17. God made a covenant between him and all creatures and Noah was the man he could trust for this commitment. The next rainbow to remember is in Revelations 4:3, “And there was a rainbow round about the throne.” This is divine preservation for the elect of God. He could trust Noah to let him into divine secret. Can God trust you?
Abraham, God called him my friend, Isaiah 41:8. God told Abraham to leave the land of his father and his kindred to journey to a land he knew nothing about. He obeyed and took God at his word. He obeyed and moved, Hebrews 11:8, and in verse 17, it confirmed that Abraham obeyed God and offered his son Isaac. God said, now I know you are the man I can trust Genesis 22:10-12. God trusted Abraham to reveal to him some great secrets that his children will be in Egypt and mistreated for four hundred years that in his seed (Jesus the Christ) shall the gentiles trust. God spoke future secrets to Abraham a man he could trust, can God trust you. God is looking for a young man or woman he can trust.
Joseph was beloved of his father Jacob. As a young man God gave him dreams and the interpretations. He dreamed about his father and brothers bowing to him, as moon and stars. He was sold by his brothers to Egypt. After a few years he became second to Pharaoh in Egypt by the working of God through dreams and interpretations. God used him to preserve Israel during the 7 years of disastrous famine. God found a man he could trust to preserve life during the famine and God revealed a special secret to him. In Genesis 50:24-26, “God will surely visit you and take you out to the land he promised to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; —-and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.” A man God could trust, to reveal to, the coming of Moses to get the children of Israel out of Egypt and the carrying of his bone to the promise land. This was a special secret to one he could trust. God found in Joseph a man he could trust. Can God trust you?
Moses came at a time determined. According to Hebrews 11:24-26, “By faith Moses when he was come to years refused to be called Pharaoh’s daughter; choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt—–.” God needed to talk to a man face to face and must be a man he could trust. Moses stood by the burning bush (Exodus 3:1-17) and God met with him, a man he could trust. Joseph said, God would visit Israel in Egypt and after 430years the hour had come. A man God could trust to work with him to bring signs and wonders in Egypt, take the children of Israel out of bondage and carrying the prophesied bone of Joseph with him, on the way to the promise land. Here was a man God could trust to divide the red sea, spend 40 days and 40 nights before him on the mountain top and finally handed him the Ten Commandments written with the finger of God. He showed Moses a man he could trust certain secrets which included, making a mold of a fiery serpent on a pole (Number 21:9) for the healing of those bitten by the serpent God sent, during the disobedience of some of the children of Israel in the wilderness; it represented healing for those who looked at it with repentance. This was to signify the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and the reconciliation of mankind to God, for all who will believe by and in faith. Jesus Christ referred to this in John 3:14-15. Moses appeared again on mount Transfiguration with Elijah: to discuss with the Lord his death on the cross, very confidential and important matter and you saw men God could trust standing with him. God also trusted Peter, James and John to allow them on the mount and to hear his voice as recorded in Luke 9:35, “This is my beloved Son hear him.” What a collection of men God could trust. God is looking for men and women he can trust today; can God trust you? According to Mark 9:9-10, “And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man was risen from the dead. And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another, what the rising from the dead mean.” These were men God could trust and gave them a secret that he was going to rise from the dead. Study Numbers 12:5-9. God called Moses faithful; a man He could trust.
Joshua worked with and trusted Moses as a man of God. He and Caleb were among the twelve sent to spy the promise land. They came back with positive results, ready to enter the promised land but the other ten men brought negative and demoralizing report (Numbers 13:30-33). This made Israel not to enter the promise land immediately. Of all the adults who left Egypt with Moses only Joshua and Caleb could God trust, to take the children of Israel into the promise land. Also remember the man that moved the hand of God to make the Sun to stand still upon Gibeon and the moon in the valley of Ajalon (Joshua 10:12-14), for about a whole day and God hearkened unto him; “and there was no day like that before it or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel.” Joshua was a man God could trust. Can God trust you?
Elijah stood for God in the face of the threat of apostasy and death. He shut the heaven and there was no rain for forty and two months. God trusted him so much to let him into the fact that by faith you can pray for the dead to wake up, (1st King 17:17-24). Elijah was the first to raise the dead in the bible. God trusted Elijah and confident in his work well done on earth, that he sent a chariot of fire to come and carry his prophet home. God trusted him to let him try the translation chariot. Can the Lord trust you to send you into the soon coming translation chariot? Are you confident that the Lord can trust you for the translation company? Remember Elijah and Moses visited with God on the mount of transfiguration. Men God could trust. Can God count on you to trust you?
Samuel was the young prophet of God. As a child 4-6years old God spoke to him and told him what could stagger adults, (1st Samuel 3:10-14 and 4:10-18). God trusted him to let him deliver a message to Eli the high priest, as God’s child prophet. A boy you may say, but God found in him a young boy he could trust. God revealed to him the plight of Israel under a king and even God brought him up from the dead to confront Saul before the witch of Endor. God trusted him to tell Saul his end. Samuel told Saul prophetically that, “Tomorrow by this time you and your sons shall be with me, (1st Samuel 28:15-20).” Even after death, God allowed him to appear to the witch of Endor to complete his work of a prophet; a man God could trust. Can God trust you?
Job was a man of God, who Satan went to God to make a case against. Job 1:1 defines how God saw Job, “Job was a man perfect and upright and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.” In verse 8 when Satan appeared before God, stating he had been going to and fro the earth; God asked him, “Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feared God, and escheweth evil?” There after Satan went on an all out attack against Job. He killed all his children in one day; verse 15, the Sabeans attacked and killed his servants and made away with all his livestock. He lost everything except his wife. “In all this, Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly, Job 1:22.” Later the devil attacked his physically body (crown of head to sole of foot) with unspeakable sore boils; he scraped himself with potsherd and sat down among ashes, according to Job 2:7-9. We also read, “Then said his wife unto him, dost thou still retain thine integrity? Curse God and die. Job answered his wife, “Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh.——in all these did not Job sin with his mouth.” God had a man he could trust, no matter what Satan threw at Job; he did not doubt or question or murmur against God, as some of us do almost always under pressure. Finally, in Job 13:15-16, he showed why God could trust him, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.” This was a man God could trust. Can you appreciate what Job said, Can God trust you?
David the man after God’s heart which was the testimony of God (1st Samuel 13:14) about a man he could trust. God so much trusted him that he gave him numerous prophecies about different things, including how and where God created man (Psalms 139:13-16). When Israel was terrified of the Philistines and their giant and man of war Goliath; God sent a shepherd boy who had testimonies with the Lord to visit the giant with a sling and five stones. While the armies of Israel retreated from the giant David a youth God cold trust was running towards the giant. David with his sling buried a stone into the forehead of the giant, who fell and David stood over him and cut of his head. God was with a youth he could trust and gave him victory. Can God trust you? God is at this moment of the last days looking for young men and young men He can trust. Can God trust you?
Daniel and the three Hebrew children in Babylon were a peculiar group of believers that God could trust no matter the situation. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in Daniel 3:10-22, were Jews who refused to worship the golden image of Nebuchadnezzar. He threatened to cast them into a fiery burning furnace if they refused to worship the image at the sound of musical equipments. They replied in verse 16, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter (what boldness, because of confidence in the Lord God of Israel). If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the fiery burning furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.” Remember Revelation 13:16-18. This is where the line of trust is drawn. These were men God could trust. They were eventually cast into the fiery burning furnace and the Son of God was in there; for the three young men he could trust. Can God trust you?
Daniel was a man with this testimony as recorded in Daniel 10:11, “O Daniel a man greatly beloved—-.” Daniel trusted the Lord and God stood by him in the lion’s den after he refused the king’s order not to make any supplication to the God of Israel in whom he trusted. God found in Daniel a man he could trust with revelations of the world; from the return of Israel from captivity, the rebuilding of the temple at Jerusalem, the death of Christ on the cross, the rise and reign of the anti-Christ and the empires of the end, the great tribulation and the millennium and the white throne judgment. This was the Daniel’s 70 weeks revelation. God saw in Daniel a young man he could trust with dreams, interpretations and multiple revelations. Can God trust you at this end of time?
Mary over two thousand years found favor with God. Like today, at that time God was looking for young woman he could trust. This would involve a virgin birth. This would involve letting one know the saving, restoring, transforming and eternal name of God and much more. God needed a virgin he could trust. According to Luke 1:26-38, “The angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. —–And behold, thou shall conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and shalt call his name JESUS.” That was the name hidden till Mary. Here you can see that God looked around and chose a young woman he could trust. He trusted Mary to take care of the baby and told her his name. The name given in heaven and in earth by which any one can be saved, demons cast out, sins forgiven, miracles performed, and translation hoped for; all was made possible because God found a young woman he could trust. Can God trust you, think again. Can God trust you? God gave his secret name to Mary a person he could trust. Can God trust you?
John the apostle was a man Jesus Christ truly loved. John did no recorded miracles, but talked much about love and our relationship to Jesus our Lord and God. God trusted Peter, James and John on several occasions when he had private miracles or issues. Remember at the mount of transfiguration Jesus took the three people he could trust with that appearance; and at the end, he told them coming down the mountain to tell no man about it, till he was risen from the dead. These three kept this secret and told no one; these were men he could trust. Any chance God can trust you? God so trusted John that he kept him alive until Patmos to give him secrets in the book of Revelations, as stated in Revelations 1:1. Study the book of Revelations and see what the Lord showed him, and you will know that God found in John, a man he could trust. Can God trust you? God is looking for young men and women he can trust, are you one he can count on for trust?
Paul was the messenger to the gentile church. A man who excelled in all that he did; a lawyer that knew the laws. He sincerely loved the God of his fathers, but in the ignorant way. The Messiah they were looking for based on the words of the prophets, came but the religious people of the day missed him except a few. Simeon and Ann (Luke 2:25-37) were those God could trust, to come and be present when Joseph and Mary brought in the baby-God into the house of the Lord. Read the prophecies of both Simeon and Anna and you will know God gave them revelations for the future. Simeon said in verse 29, “Lord, now lettest thou thy servant, depart in peace according to thy word.” The baby in Simeon’s hand was and is both Jesus and God. Paul in his zeal and sincerity on the way to Damascus (Acts 9:1-16) to arrest every believer in Jesus Christ was struck down by a bright light from heaven. A voice spoke from heaven saying Saul, Saul why persecutest thou me? And Saul said, who art thou Lord? And the voice answered and said, “I am JESUS whom thou persecutest. Right with that encounter Paul was saved, as Jesus the voice from heaven told him where to go to receive his sight which he lost with the bright light from heaven on the way to Damascus. God found in Paul a man he could trust. He sent him to the gentiles, and the rest of how God used him are recorded in different books of the New Testament. The Holy Spirit spoke and wrote through him for all today to help us make the kingdom of God. Paul was taken to the third heaven and had several revelations about the translation, the anti-Christ and the last days. He endured unspeakable persecutions and sufferings and yet held on to the Lord. God trusted Paul, can God trust you?
Now it is you and me, can God trust you and me? God is looking for young men and women He can trust. Many such people are found in Hebrews 11 and, “they without us cannot be made perfect” verse 40; but remember that they all had a good report. Check your lives, your work and walk with the Lord, can God trust you? We are in the last days before the translation, great tribulation and the Armageddon. Let us take stock of our lives and answer for ourselves the big question, can God trust you? Can the Lord count on you in these last days. God is looking for young men and women he can trust. If you think you are old think again as you read Joshua 14:10-14, “—–And now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in—-.” At eighty five years old Caleb trusted the Lord and the Lord found a man He could trust in him and trusted him to conquer the giants and take over the land called Hebron, for his inheritance till this day. Caleb was a young man at eighty five that God could trust. Your time has come, no matter your age, He reneweth thy youth as the eagle, can God trust you? God is looking for young men and women He can trust. Job was wealthy, Abraham was wealthy, Samuel and David were young, Mary was young and God could trust them. Can God trust you now? Study 1st Thessalonians 2:1-9. God is looking for young men and women He can trust. Can He trust you?
