To be positive means to be full of hope and confidence or giving cause for hope and confidence about things that may involve you. Keeping the negatives away from you by trusting in the words and promises of God according to the Holy Bible.

John 14:12-14; Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Psalm 119:49; Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

Rom. 8: 28, 31, 37-39; And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
