SEDMICA #18

"While this system is in the nation preparing for dictatorship under cover, God is preparing a great revival among His elect, which some are in almost every church. Then I feel the Lord will rapture his children and suddenly the world will come under dictatorship. There will be a great movement for the elect; but will not be received wholeheartedly, by the denominations, because they cannot partake of the anointing that is coming so strong.” Scroll 18

Hebrews 11: 39-40, “And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.”

Deut. 6:24, “And the Lord commanded us to do all these statues, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.”

Sarah and Rebecca

Remember the song, “Precious memories.”

Gen. 15:1-6; 16:1-6; 17:1-21

Post 21:1-14

Sarai was the youthful wife of Abram and she bare him no children. As they got older,and humanly speaking, to have a child was too late for a woman in her 70’s. Sarai gave her maid to Abram to give him a child. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. But when her maid Hagar conceived, she Hagar despised her mistress in her eyes. Later, the child Ishmael was born.

God changed the name Abram to Abraham, saying,” for a father of many nations have I made thee.” Also, later God changed the name of Sarai to Sarah saying, “And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.” The Lord said, but my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year. And it came to pass, she gave birth to the heir of promise Isaac. God preserved Sarah, even in the genealogy of Jesus Christ.

Post 24:1-61

Gen.25: 20-34;

26: 1-12

Abraham sent his servant to the land from where God took him out to go get his son a wife but not among the Canaanites where he dwelleth.

The servant set off and prayed, “O Lord God of my master Abraham, I ray thee, send me good speed this day, and show kindness unto my master; And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say,let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou has appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shown kindness unto my master.” God answered his prayer exactly. And the damsel was Rebekah the daugther to Abraham’s family. She did not hesitate but went with the servant after family discussion to Abraham and Isaac. That was a woman God preserved for the carrying out of his divine purpose. Esau and Jacob came out of her and Jacob continued the journey of the promised seed and the genealogy of Jesus Christ.

Gen.18:14, “Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”

Gen. 24: 40, “And he said unto me, The Lord, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father’s house.”

Ruth 1:1-22;

2: 1-23

Ruth was a Moabite, of the genealogy of Lot and his daughter. She was married to Elimelech and Naomi’s son who all came to Moab because of the famine in Judah. In the process of time all the men in Naomi’s life died and left no children and also Naomi was now old. She had about the Lord visiting Judah and that the famine was over. She decided to return to Judah, but she came with a husband and two sons and was now going back alone. She persuaded her two daughter in-laws to return to their families. But in the end Orpah went back. But Ruth insisted that she would go with Naomi back to Judah.

On arrival in Judah she asked not to be called Naomi but Marafor she said,”The Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.

They both came back poor, and Ruth had to almost scavenge in Boaz’s farm land among his workers.

She had a good testimony with the workers and whatever she gleaned or even when given free food, kept back some to take home to Naomi. When on an occasion Boaz saw her and inquired about her, and had all her testimonies from others.

Ruth 3:1-18;

4: 1-22

Ruth found favor with Baoz who was a Kinsman of Naomi and by marriage to Naomi’s son , Boaz also became a kinsman that eventually blessed her with the words, “The Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust, recompense and reward thee fully.” It was a proclamation that God used to confirm what Ruth said to Naomi and God was listening, “Your people shall be my people and your God, my God.

When we make pronouncements, God keeps tabs. And God rewarded her fully in Boaz. When the rightful kinsman redeemer refused to redeem Naomi and Ruth because she was of Moab, God had His own plan. God loved all that Ruth manifested. So Boaz redeemed Naomi and Ruth in the agreement.

Ruth became the wife of Boaz. God brought a Mobite with a different and excellent spirit and Boaz and Israelite and God gave her conception, and she bare a son, called Obed, who became the father of Jesse, the father of David. Ruth was preserved and was in the genealogy of Jesus our Lord, Savior and Christ.

Ruth I:16, “Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.”

Ruth 2:12, “The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.”

Esther

Remember the song, “So just be faithful.”

Esther 1:9-22;

2-15;

4: 7-17

God has a plan for those who manifest it in the manner of life towards him. Here in the case of Esther, she was orphaned at a young age but God put favor and beauty of character in her. Her uncle Mordecai brought her up and at a time when the Jews were in a strange land and enemies within and without.

But God created an occasion when king Ahasuerus’ heart was merry with wine that he called for his wife to come before his presence on a day he was very delighted and wanted to show off his queen’s (Vashti) beauty to the people and prices. But she refused to come at the king’s commandment, therefore the king was very wroth, and his anger burned in him. The offense ended up with the king putting her away and getting another woman to be queen.

That led to searching the kingdom for a new wife for the king; and Esther of Mordecai was found to have pleased the king as his choice but there was a problem.

Haman the head prince hated Mordecai because as a Jew he would not bow to man. Before this also there was a plot to kill the king but Mordecai heard of it and informed people who helped save the king’s life. And was forgotten after.

Esther 5:1-14;

6-1;

7-1;

8: 1-7

Harman hated both Mordecai and all Jews. He even dug a gallow to hang Mordecai in his house and hatched a plan which the king unwitingly signed for a day to exterminate all Jews from the kingdom.

Mordecai heard of it and sent a message to new queen Esther to do something or God will find another person. Esther requested herself and every Jew in Shushan to fast for 3 days day and night with neither food nor water. At the end she would petition the king, even going before the king was always at the king’s request. But she said, after the fast she would go in unto the king. She did. Finally God granted favor, for suddenly it came to his heart about blessing the person who saved his life from the plot of the wicked. It was discovered that Mordecai was the one and the king asked Harmon what he would suggest to be done to a man the king delighted to honor, thinking he was the one. Mordecai was honored and Esther appealed to the king about the plot to destroy the Jews and the perpetrators. The king reversed it and Harman was hanged. So God preserved not only Esther but the Jewish race. God showed Esther and the Jews favor and preserved them by his plan through Esther.

Esther 4:16, “ Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, neither eat nor drink three days, night and day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.”

2nd Tim. 4;18, “And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

Hannah and Rachel

Setite se pesme „Gde bih mogao da odem”.

1st Samuel.1:1-28;

2: 1-21

Hannah was the mother of prophet Samuel. She was without a child for a while while her other husband’s wife had children. So year to year when they went to worship in the temple, she came for herself and was empty handed with no children. She was grieved. And Eli saw her praying silently and thought she was drunk; and she said, I am not drunk but poured out my soul before the Lord. And God heard her prayers. Eli the high priest blessed her and said to her, “Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition.”

Elkanah Knew his wife and she conceived and bore a son and called his name Samuel, saying, “ Because I have asked him of the Lord. She weaned the child at about 4 years and brought him to the house of the Lord and gave him over to the high priest that he may serve in the house of God. “Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshiped the Lord there. Samuel of Hannah became a mighty prophet of God from a child. Hannah was preserved and special and God gave her other children. She called Him Lord. Who is your Lord?

Postanak 29:1-31;

30:1-8, 22-25

Rachel was the second wife of Jacob, the daughter of Laban. David saw her before other children of Laban and loved her. When he first arrived he was by a well and enquired of Nahor’s house of which Laban was his son. The people told him that she was coming with sheep, Rachel the daughter of Laban.

Jacob rolled away the rock and watered the sheep of Laban, his mother’s brother. And kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice and wept. And Jacob introduced himself as Rebekah’s son, and she ran to her father.

With time Laban gave Leah to Jacob for wife in a tricky way of the night. This displeased Jacob after serving Laban for seven years he got another woman in place of Rachel according to the custom said Laban, (Remember Esau and the birth right issue). Jacob served another 7 years to get Rachel as his wife, she became also the mother of Joseph. And Joseph was used by God to preserve Israel in Egypt. When she had Joseph, She said, “The Lord shall add to me another son.” She called him Lord and was preserved and Benjamin was born. Who is your Lord? Are you preserved?

Elizabeth and Mary

Setite se pesme "Kako si sjajan."

Luke 1: 1-45

Luke 2: 1-20

Elizabeth was the wife of Zechariah and she had no child and both were now well stricken in years. And Zechariah was visited by an angel of the Lord in the temple and told him; Elizabeth his wife would bear a child and thou shall call his name John, – – – and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb. And the angel told Zechariah “I am Gabriel, that stands in the presence of God.”Preservation has now come to Elizabeth by the word of God; and after those days she conceived and hid herself for 5 months.

Mary visited Elizabeth after the angel spoke to her. And on arrival Mary greeted Elizabeth on entering the house, and the baby in the womb of Elizabeth leaped and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost. Elizabeth said, “And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me.” That was evidence of preservation. Do you have any evidence of your preservation? And she called the unborn baby Lord. Who do you call Lord? Are you preserved or sealed for the Lord?

Luke 1: 46-80

Luke 2: 21-39

Mary was espoused to Joseph, but God found her faithful to house him as a baby by the Holy Ghost. When the angel Gabriel visited her to announce the plan of God, she did not doubt but said, I know not a man how shall this be. The angel told her it will happen when the Holy Ghost comes upon her, and she shall have a Son and his name shall be Jesus.

So Mary answered and said, “Behold the hand of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.” She called Him Lord who doeth these wonders. For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Joseph was visited by God in a dream and did not put away his wife to be but took her in and watched over her till the Savior Christ Jesus the Lord was born in the city of David.

Shepherds and wise men visited the baby and prophesied and blessed and worshiped God. And Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

Mary was preserved and called Him Lord. Who do you call Lord in your heart? No one calls Jesus Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

Luke 1:38, And Mary said, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.”

dan 6

1st Thess. 5:23, “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Marija i Marta

Setite se pesme „Isus je sve platio“.

John 11: 1-30 Mary and Martha were sisters and had a brother called Lazarus. They all loved the Lord. What a situation that they all loved the Lord and He loved them too. He visited with them and even had dinner in their home. That was really a God with us situation.

But a remarkable thing happened. Lazarus became sick and they sent a message to Jesus. And the Lord delayed for about four days; within which time, Lazarus died and was buried.

People gathered to comfort the family. Suddenly news got to Martha tha Jesus was around. So she went to meet him, but Mary stayed back in the house.

Then Martha said to Jesus, I know if you were here my brother would not have died. But I also know that even now whatever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. (There was God before her and she was still look for favor from God above, as many of us do this day). Jesus said to her Thy brother shall rise again.

Martha said I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection on the last day. Martha was like many of us today, we need to get our spiritual understanding fine tuned.

Jesus said to her I am the preserver, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me (God) shall never die. Believest thou this?” She saith unto Him, “Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.”

John 11: 31-45

John 12: 1-11

Luke 10: 38-42

Mary was a different type of a believer, talked less, but acted by the leading of the Holy Spirit or there was something divine about her; compared to her sister Martha.

When Martha came back from going to see Jesus, she said to her sister Mary that the Master is come, and calleth for thee. Immediately she arose and went to meet him where Martha met Him.

Firstly, and when Mary came and saw Him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hast been here, my brother had not died. And she and those Jews who came with her were weeping.

Jesus when he came said take ye away the stone, but Martha said to him, Lord, by this time he stinketh for he had been dead four days. But Jesus reminded her that He told her if thou wouldest believe thou shouldest see the glory of God. He cried with a loud voice saying Lazarus come forth and he rose from the dead. And many believed.

Secondly, Mary, when Jesus visited after, took a pound of ointment, very costly and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. And then Judas Iscariot criticized Mary’s did, preferring to sell the ointment to help the poor.

But Jesus said let her alone, for against the day of my burying hath she kept this. That was God leading her.

Thirdly, Martha was cumbered in the kitchen to entertain Jesus, and protested to Him that Mary who was at his feet listening to his word was not helping her. Jesus said, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful; and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Divine preservation, they called Him Lord; they loved and worshiped Him, they knew that Jesus had power both now and at the last day.

Mary, worshiped at his feet and listened to his word and no one can take it from Mary. And they got the revelation of who is the resurrection and the life. God reserved the dead in resurrection and those who are alive and remain He preserved in life.

Jovan 11:25, „Ja sam vaskrsenje i život; ko veruje u mene, ako i umre, oživeće.”

John 12:7-8, “Let her alone, against the day of my burying hath she kept this. For the poor always ye have with you: but me ye have not always.”

John 11:35, “Jesus wept.”

dan 7

Rev 20:6, “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Divine preservation of the true believers.

Rahab and Abigail

Remember the song, “When the roll is called.”

Joshua 2:1-24;

6: 1-27

Joshua sent out 2 spies, to go and secretly view the land of Jericho. They went and came into a harlot’s house, named Rahab, and lodged there. The king was told about it, and sent a search party to search her house. She was faced between just two men with God and were Jews and a band of soldiers from the king. She hid the two men and told the men that yes two men came in here but had left and encouraged them to go after them. But she hid them on the rooftop.

She came to the two spies and said, “I know that the Lord hath given you the land, and that your terror has fallen upon all the inhabitants of the land,–For the Lord your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath. Now therefore, I pray you swear unto me by the Lord since I have shown you kindness, that ye will also show kindness unto my father’s house, and give me a true token.” The 2 spies promised her deliverance when war arrives. She helped them to escape, by the wall with a scarlet thread. And they told her to bind her window with the scarlet thread and when the men of war see it they will spare her and all with her in the house. God saved the harlot Rahab and her family. She called Him Lord. And so we see her again in the genealogy of Jesus who died for all sinners and saved those that will believe. She allied the God of the Jews Lord. Rahab was preserved. God knows who is the apple of his eyes, are you?

1st Sam. 25: 2-42 Abigail was the wife of Nabal. She was a woman of good understanding, and of beautiful countenance: but her husband was churlish and evil in his doings.

Nabal had a lot of flock and nothing was stolen by David and his men. David sent his men to request some meat for food. And he turned them down to ask who David was, especially these days when men break away from their masters and want a handout.

When David heard of it he was set to destroy Nabal and all that he had. But one of Nabal’s servants who heard what happened quickly ran to Abigail to tell her what transpired. Abigail quickly gathered a lot of food items including killing and preparing 5 sheep and went with the servant to plead with David; without the knowledge of her husband.

She spoke to David calling on the name of the Lord severally. And David said to her , “Blessed the Lord God of Israel, which sent thee this day to meet me.” David hearkened to her and shed no blood. About ten days later Nabal died and shortly after David heard it, he sent and took her to be his wife. She was preserved, She called on the Lord God, who preserves and she was linked to David, a man after God’s own heart.

1st Sam. 25:33, “ And Blessed be thy advice, and Blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with my own hand.”
