Obey in scriptural terms, is hearing the word of God and acting upon it. It implies aligning our will to God’s will; doing what God has asked us to do. It is when we completely surrender (submit) to His authority and base our decisions and our actions on His word.
“The elect will love the truth, despite their shortcomings. The truth will transform the elect.The real truth is hated. It was nailed to the Cross. They will believe and tell the truth. The word will transform the elect. You will witness that He is coming very soon. The urgency must be there, and constant expectation of the coming of the Lord. The elect will love the word more than ever. It will mean life to them. ” The Qualifications cd #1379
Exodus 19:5; Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:Deut. 11:27-28; A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
Deut 13:4; Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
